If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is not safe. Do not go here. The window to our room was open and did not latch. None of the doors to the building latch and stand open. The front door doesn't even have a lock. The back door to the building was propped open with a brick. We couldn't get into the pool room and when office staff came down to the pool they realized they had "forgotten" to unlock the pool. When we entered the pool room, we realized every window in the pool room was standing wide open and also not able to latch. It was new years eve and the temperature of the pool room was below 30. My two year old was disappointed. When I reported all this to the staff, they kind of just shrugged and said, "People. Right?" I demanded they come down and check the temp of the room and make sure the heat was even on. They sent someone down and she just walked around the room. She said, "I think a homeless person must be coming in here and swimming or something." Um. WHAT? I said "uh, the thermostat is right there. It's locked. Can you get a key or something?" Shes said she would be right back. Surprise. We never saw her again and couldn't bear to stand in the cold in swimsuits anymore. The safes in the room don't work at all. The writing on the safe is faded and you can't even read it. I'm used to the wall being thin and being able to hear every thing. But this place was next level bad. This place is scary. RUN. BOOK ANYWHERE ELSE.

My experience with Super 8 by Wytham was a contaminated nightmare from the outset. The front desk clerk, assistant manager Jenni, refused my request when checking in for a sanitized napkin to wipe down the filthy sitting area furniture; from this point on things just plummeted. The check in process seemed to take longer than necessary, only because the Assistant manager was always to busy and preoccupied ridiculing, and disrespecting a petite young lady, obviously a trainee, whom seemingly was more professional and curteous then the rude and obnoxious tyrant that ordered her around. (I can only pray that as a trainee, the young lady suffers not from the mental scars that she endured, and I witnessed, all to keep a job in a fleabag motel/hotel). As closer, witnessing the outrageous, cruel, and demeaning conduct of the assistant manager relative to this instance, I will forever boycott this establishment, and pray that others will do the same.

Well the pool closed at 10pm and we were still travelling on Pacific time. They closed the pool immediately after we got in. Pool should have longer hours for adults. The manager warned us that they'd been having problems with locals since Covid and explained some of them to us. Upon checking into our room, we found what appeared to be blood stains on the wall near the window. And the lamp shade on the floor lamp was broken. We photo graphed them and reported them to the manager on that night. Breakfast was good and fresh. There should be at least 4 pillows on the bed. There were only 3. Aside from that our stay was very satisfactory. We would consider staying there again.

My boyfriend and I were road tripping and had to stop for the night as we were extremely tired. I found this place along the way in booking.com and it was cheap and convenient so we decided to give it a shot. The post said it was $95 for the room for the night with a deposit of $30. I made the reservation and we showed up and there was a sign on the front desk saying they charge $50 for credit card deposit and then there was another sign saying they donโ€™t take cash payments, so basically my card got charged $150+ dollars for something that was supposedly $95.. itโ€™s also been two days since We left and we only stopped by to sleep. We showed up at 2am and left at 8am. I expected my $50 for the security deposit back in my account or at least pending by nowโ€ฆ but nothing. NOT worth the money, might as well have stayed at a better hotel. Also if you check the other โ€œbadโ€ reviews on here youโ€™ll see they respond to every single one the EXACT same way and never offer an actually solution. Disappointing experience.

It had a low down feel to it, but the beds were clean. That being said I woke up with little blood spots on the white sheets which indicated the possibility of bed bugs. If you stay there I would definitely leave all your things in a hot car after for at least an hour.

I travel very frequently and understand what I am paying for when I stay at a place like Super 8. That being said, my stay here was bad enough to warrant my first ever google review. When my wife and I arrived, all of the towels were on the bathroom floor and soaking wet from a puddle near the bathtub. I rung out the towels and cleaned up the puddle then got new towels from the front desk, informing them of the puddle and wet towels on the floor. They were apologetic and informed me that they would look into refunding me for my troubles. I returned to the room and learned that the puddle was because the toilet was leaking so the puddle returned. I went back to the front desk to inform them of the issue and they confirmed they would refund my stay. When we left the next morning I stopped by the front desk to make sure they were aware of the issue so it could be fixed and wanted to confirm my refund. Two weeks later we still had not heard from them. We have called them and have been promised return calls from management but have never heard anything. The front-desk workers I communicated with were kind, but the service from management has been very poor and I find it absurd that I paid $120 for a one night stay in a flooded room. Even aside from the flooded room and towels on the floor, the walls were extremely thin and a nearby room was having a very loud party until past 2am. Overall it was a very negative experience and I will not be staying here in my travels again.

Pros: - I needed a dog friendly room and got one. The room wasnโ€™t covered in hair or smelly. - The lady at the front desk and the guy in the breakfast lobby were friendly and helpful. - decent price 72 bucks + 25 for dog fee. Cons: - Bad lighting. - shower didnโ€™t drain properly and body wash in shower dispenser was empty. - hand lotion dispenser just dispensed more hand soap. - Phone didnโ€™t work. - window AC unit was stuck on fan all night and I couldnโ€™t turn it off.

I was literally denied a room because I was from Twin Falls, ID. Sign says I can not be within 75 miles to get a room. Yeah, Twin Falls is 126 miles. My brother, who is from Hailey, ID, 139 miles away, was accepted to stay. Guess they just don't like us Twin Falls folks. Needless to say, he canceled his stay, as well as others in our group, and we chose a different hotel. I'll be weary about choosing ANY Windham hotel from here on out in the future. They will be last on my options. As for this Super 8, they permanently lost our business. I can't speak for the rest of the group, but I'm sure they feel the same. I will encourage others not to choose this hotel, beginning with this review.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Horrible experience. I called to book a room and when we get to the hotel the lady who said, โ€œ my husbands card wasnโ€™t going to be charged until we arrived to the hotelโ€ was charged twice. The worst part is getting the room key to the room we were supposed to stay, only to open the door and see a big dog sitting in the room. I immediately closed the door and a guy opens it back up. My husband of course apologized and informed him that they had given us a key to his room. I called the number back to where I made the reservation and the guy whom I spoke to said there was nothing he can do. He suggested to have the front desk handle this situation. The gentleman at the front desk assisted as much as he could and apologized and said he was going to call super 8/Wyndham himself. This was not okay having three kids and a small dog traveling from Texas. Please do not stay at the hotel. They will charge you more than once.

Where to start? I have stayed in some pretty sketchy places and never felt the need to write a review. Honestly, this is my first review of a hotel ever. If we were treated differently at checkin, I probably wouldnโ€™t be writing this review. When booking, there was no mention of a pet fee. They ran my card before mentioning the fee then when I asked to cancel my reservation after finding out about the pet fee, the lady working the front desk told me there was no way to cancel, even though they had not mentioned the pet fee before running my card. With no way to talk with a manager or customer care we were left with no option but to stay in a very overpriced run down hotel. Once in the room it got worse. There is mildew/mold on the bathroom ceiling, the shower head is so low I pretty much needed to get on my knees to take a shower and Iโ€™m not that tall. I could feel every spring in the mattress and the sheets were worn out. The halls stink of old carpet smell. The room had many dents, scapes and poorly filled holes in the walls. Overall worst hospitality experience I have ever had.

Do not book this hotel if you live in Idaho or on the Oregon border. They will not tell you or inform you on ANY booking site including their own website. However they have a policy where you can't book if you live within 129 miles. My spouse and I booked it online because I had a work conference and didn't want to drive an hour in the dark after a 12 hour conference. The first indication of this policy was when a staff member asked where we were from and informed us to keep quiet or we could be thrown out. Let me be clear THE ONLY indication of this policy is a tiny sign on the front desk that one will only see after booking and traveling there. I'm not disputing the business right to have this policy but they should at least make it clear to those booking because this has caused us both undue stress. We found out that if we had been turned back at the check in desk which is apparently what should have happened we would have received a refund but that's not the problem. Receiving a refund last minute well after we can book another hotel does not help. Please I do not ask you change your policy but I do ask you make it obvious when booking online like you do with your other booking policies.

We had a pleasant experience with the front desk lady when we checked in. The beds were nice and the rooms seemed clean. About the only thing I would say is that the shower head was very low and the tube and shower could use some updating. Other than that, we would stay there again. It was very close to the airport which was nice.

The room I stayed in the AC unit was kind of suspect. It didnโ€™t want to get or stay cold. Staff were amazing and they got me a different room when I checked in due to a snafu with cleaning. No worries have a great day and keep up the good work with your business.

My spouse and I have made several business trips that took us through Boise. We have always stayed at the Super 8 and had always been treated with courtesy and our rooms were always nice. Our last visit was not like this at all. We arrived about 10 minutes before check-in time (we have been allowed to check in early in the past). When we approached the front door an employee was leaning against a post, speaking with another employee, and smoking a cigarette. She told us that we were early and that she would have to charge us $35 early check-in fee. She told us to leave and come back so we went and stood by our vehicle until 3:02 pm. When we went in to check-in there were now 2 people in front of us being served. Once checked in we went to our room and was very disappointed in the condition of this room. It was dingy, dirty carpet, small tears in the lampshades, laminate torn off the counter by the sink, and springs that were sprung in the mattresses. We think there were other rooms available since this was a Sunday night and the parking lot was not very full. We don't know what we did to upset this employee (except maybe we interrupted her smoke break) but we will not be staying at the Super 8 anymore.

The stay was below expected, especially for the money. The pictures online make the rooms look updated and nice. They are updated but with super cheap materials that are already showing wear. The walls are super thin and you can hear people's conversations in adjoining rooms, much less the TV, barking dogs, everyone walking down the hallway. The had a weird overbearing disinfectant smell, and the food leftovers from the previous folks weren't even cleaned out of the fridge. Hoping at least the sheets were really changed! Also exhaust would come in the room from cars running in the parking lot in the morning. I'm not usually a complainer about these things. I've stayed at a lot of Super 8's and Motel 6's because of my pet. This was one of the more expensive, with a pretty hefty $25/night pet fee now, and one of the worst I have stayed in. Something I would expect for a $60 motel, not a $100/night +$25 for the pet. The staff was great though! Very kind and helpful. They are way underpaid for what this place costs! Wyndam has bought all these out. Typical corporate buyout. The places have gotten more costly and yet the staff is hardly making a living and the amenities are kind of sugar-coated.

My husband and i stayed for a week almost 4 weeks ago.The room was clean an nice and easy access. The night clerk Lee was great. Early mornings when my husband and I would go outside to smoke, Lee brought us a coffee an checked on us. We hope to see him again .

It's an older hotel. New flooring in the rooms but the rest of the decor is dated. The wall are paper thin and you can hear people in the hall and other rooms. There's a pool no hot tub. Wheelchair access is available but it's out of the way. The front desk clerk was there but not very helpful when we checked in. The hotel is close to the airport, dining and a convenient store. They have a breakfast, cold cereal, toast, yogurt. For the most part it's clean.

Pretty dingy vibe. Everything was also super minimal. The shower was made for tiny people and I had to basically crouch (see photo.) Not to mention we didn't even have a shower curtain? The toilet was the smallest I've ever used in my life and felt like it was made of the cheapest plastic. Location was nice, and I mean, it worked for a quick stop in on a journey. Wouldn't want to stay here long-term, or return here.

Great hotel, friendly staff, comfortable beds, and great prices. The only complaint is the parking. It's for compact cars or you can't get your luggage out of your vehicle. We even saw someone park up on the curb to give him more space. Other than that we really enjoyed our time there.

No room access without stairs. The elevator has been broken for a long time judging by the spider webs across the door. Seamy, dark entryways with very filthy walls, carpet and handrails. Old lumpy beds with burns and stains on the bedspreads. Nice vinyl flooring would have been nice but so dirty it blackened my bare feet just walking to the bed! Rowdy people partying in the parking lot. Large buildings with no outdoor signage and no available site maps. Window would not lock. Men using keycards trying to get into rooms up and down the hallway. The price was great ($91 with dog) and the heating/ac unit worked well. It seems like it could be a much better place with a little updating and some security. That's the only way I would come back.

The rooms were nice, clean and well stocked with nice towels and soaps. It was well furnished and the bedding was nice, but I would have preferred a thicker blanket. I'm always cold tho, so that's probs just me. The property outside looked well maintained, but we didn't get the chance to check out the pool. Despite being close to the airport, the sound of planes taking off and landing was dampened enough that I didn't even notice it. The only complaint I have were the conditions on some of the furniture. The sink basin was full of deep scratches and the cabinet it's fixed into was missing quite a bit of cladding. As well as there was significant water damage in the cabinet that the mini fridge was is. Honestly, quite cosmetic, but could be fixed.

There was a bad odor that would not go away on the room. It smelled of alcohol or something. I cleaned the floors myself and asked the front desk and they sprayed the room, but it was still there. It's extremely dated hotel. I would recommend paying a few more dollars and finding another hotel.

Stayed as my flight left way to early to drive from home. Has cosmetic issues and my bed was very soft but I would stay here. No noise, great staff and airport shuttle. Granddaughter enjoyed the pool. Thankyou for a great stay! Nice hot shower! A+ rating

Was very disappointed. Chair for desk was a disaster. I set in the chair and got something on the back of my shirt. It would not come out. Talked to the front desk and she said she would talk to manager. They just removed chair never reimbursed for shirt. I was also unloading water bottles from my cooler into the fridge I spilled some water onto the floor (dripped off water bottles) and used a towel to clean it up the towel turned black from the filth on the floor. I showed that to the front desk they said they would have housekeeping to re mop floors I checked when I returned to room and towel still turned black. Great location though.

The building looked a bit run down but still fairly clean. I couldn't quite figure out the A/C, which was a bit annoying. The rooms were clean enough, and the beds surprisingly not hard as a rock as is the norm for budget hotels like this. The whole staff were extremely nice and accommodating, which made for a great overall experience here.

I stayed at the Boise Super 8 while on a solo cross-country trip. This hotel is a budget motel, so it is clean and comfortable but not fancy. It is located about a half mile from I-84, near the airport... and did I say it is clean? Beds were comfortable, and the room was quiet. I would stay there again when on a similar trip.

We are never going to be able to go back in time to better prices, but that shouldnโ€™t mean we get less for more. Checking in was smooth despite how overworked the front desk lady seemed, made even easier by the Wyndham Rewards app. The room is less than you might expect. The furniture has paint coming off, the tub has enamel coming off, the plumbing is leaky, the toilet didnโ€™t have much water pressure to flush with. Needless to say, the place needs updating. Even the plugs on the bedside lamp for plugging in electronic devices were falling apart. Everything else, however was great and for 21st century pricing, I canโ€™t complain much. Edit: Warning - If you are on a high protein diet, you will be highly disappointed in the free breakfast. All carbs.

Itโ€™s barely a 2-star accommodation. Has breakfast but half the juice/ coffee machines were out of order. Not much selection. AC worked intermittently, got up three times in the night to power cycle the unit so it would kick on. Half the lamps did not work and the shower head was 5ft tall. Beds were noisy and uncomfortable. Slept better camping on the ground the night before. This one is off my list forever.

The initially did not place us in a dog friendly room & then as we packed up because they told us we needed to move, they changed their mind and said we didn't need to. We then got hit with a bunch of additional fees from our deposit with no clarify for what it was for, especially considering we already paid the pet fee. Additionally, the room was disgusting with a human fliud on one of the covers & sticky dirty carpet. I have reached out to their customer support team and no response. 8/1/23 Despite the response below, they have done zero follow-up with me & have chosen to ignore my calls and emailed messages for support. Do not use this hotel if you want a clean stay or any care or support.

  • 3/5 John A. 10 months ago on Google
The room was a bit out dated and the safe that was in the room was placed under the nightstand not secured to anything if you left anything of value in it someone could just carry it away and get into it at later. The pool is small and they said it was a heated indoor pool but it wasn't heated at all. In the morning around 7 am there was what sounded like construction going on in some of the other rooms. Not very nice if you wanted to sleep in. It would have been nice if they would have let us know in advance .

Thanks Super 8 for a pleasant and safe place to stay. The service was great and the motel room was very clean. The price of the room was reasonable. Also the location was conveniently close to services and restaurants which is a blessing if you're there from out of town.

My wife and I stopped by during our drive from Washington. We spent 10 hours in the car on a long trip moving to Arizona, and we needed a rest. I thought Super 8 was a cheap motel, but this seriously blew away my expectations. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean and well put together. I can't say I'll be back, but if you are in a pinch and need to stop somewhere while driving through or flying in. This is the spot! It is reasonably priced, and very close to the airport. Staff was friendly and accommodating, and there was plenty of space for parking our huge moving truck.

We stayed on Jan 3-4 2022. I did not catch their names but the gentleman and lady that check me in need to know they did a Wonderful job checking us in and taking care of all our needs and questions Great team . The rooms were very cozy. I recommend this place to everyone especially after the bad experience from leaving the hotel arcoss the street. We definitely will be back. This place is very clean. Good selection for breakfast.

Good place clean and friendly. I'd stay there again. I've stayed at some of the best around the world and for me it was more than adequate. I'd give it the best rating there is. I'd say it would be good for family. It's clean, the staff are good. Not a problem here.

We went with this hotel for the "mobile" discount... which apparently isn't a discounted price at all. This place was absolutely horrible! The walls were paper thin so noise from planes, cars driving by, AND the people in other rooms made it almost impossible to sleep. The bed was not uncomfortable but it definitely wasnt something I would want to sleep on for more than a night. The bathroom was a horror story on its own. The tub had moldy caulk and the ceiling was yellow in areas. The toilet seat had gouges in it making it a little scary to use. MY ADVICE: DO NOT STAY HERE! FOR YOUR SAFETY, FIND ANYWHERE ELSE!!

  • 3/5 R. Mike J. 2 years ago on Google
The room was clean and comfortable but a little small. The staff was efficient if not overly cordial. They are NOT pet friendly, charging a $25 non-refundable pet fee whereas most places we have stayed at charge, at most, $10. Also, when checking my credit card statement following my visit I also found a $14.99 booking charge. So, a room that was supposed to be $65 ended up costing me over $107.00. The in-room heater was very loud and woke me up every time it kicked on during the night making for a mostly sleepless night. If you don't book over the phone thus incurring the booking fee and you are not traveling with pets and you are traveling during temperate weather so you don't need heat/AC this could be a 5-star room.

  • 3/5 Barbara T. 1 year ago on Google
Friendly staff. Clean rooms with comfortable beds. Good breakfast selection. Only complaint is the set up. When I asked for a first floor room for someone who can't do stairs (semi handicapped) they said they had a room. Amen we checked in we had to go down a small flight of stairs due to the split level structure. We had no choice at this point sure to the time of day and access was extremely hard. The walls are also so thin we had to call about rowdy neighbors while we were trying to sleep. If management sees this your shower set up sucks. Putting the soap/ shampoo dispensers near the front of the tub was a mistake.very awkward spot. It takes up room that is needed to get to the shower head (which is to low as well). Those bulky dispensers should be at the back of the tub out of the way.

First of all, no door on the bathroom. It had been completely taken off the hinges & was nowhere to be seen. When i reported it, they said sorry but we don't have anyone here to fix it. Bedspread was completely worn out with holes in it. Pool was not open. The chair was worn out and broken down. If you sat in it you'd slide out. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in! I asked for either a refund or a discount & was refused.

  • 2/5 Stephanie H. 1 year ago on Google
The room was nice and clean and they have a tiny breakfast that's about all the positive. The pool was closed, wish I knew that before booking instead of getting there and having kids disappointed. And I find $25 per pet, per night is pretty steep for a pet friendly hotel but I paid it only for them to charge an extra $50 for pets on top of that! Still trying to get that taken care of. Not sure I'll stay there again, if you don't have pets or kids I guess it's great.

The room was clean and comfortable. With a mini fridge, microwave, HAIR dryer๐Ÿ˜‚ & a little coffee pot! But most of all I appreciated the kindness and accommodation shown by the staff. The front desk clerk , Taylor was especially attentive & professional to the number of guests he helped while I was in the lobby. I would recommend to anyone visiting Boise (especially if you're on a budget) to stay there.

I stripped the bed the next morning and on mattress cover of one of the beds there was blood on it 3 out of 6 pillow covers had stains and around the bottom of the toilet was urine. Manager will not call me back and when I called back for the first time they said manager left notes saying why complain at check out. I got in late and found out there was a death in family so I didn't want to check room like usual I'm a housekeeper for a different motel 8 and that is something we would get into trouble for. I requested a refund but this manager refuses and refuses to call me back. I do know when I was checking in a couple went to their room and it was bad too and told the lady they wanted their money back I'm sure they didn't and here's some pics I took! It was disgusting, with blood and urine that's bodily fluid

The room (108) needs a lot of work. As soon as I entered, I reached for the light switch but it had a sticky note over it that read "DO NOT USE". The air conditioner would only turn on for a few mins and then shut down. I had to unplug it and plug in again to get it to run again. And again, only for a few mins. It also ran warm as the cooling was broken. The shower wouldn't drain properly. It took an hour or so for the tub to drain after a quick shower. The "hot breakfast" was lacking. I arrived there at 7:45am and the coffee was empty and there were only 2 sausage patties and no eggs. The hot food items were never refilled even though I kept checking in until 8:30am. There were plenty of other items such as yogurt and fruit cups. I had high hopes for this hotel, and with some effort, it could be great.

The rooms looked nice but the beds were the worst thing I have ever slept on in my life and I've stayed at some pretty bad motels. Our room was a double queen and the bed I slept on left a deep dip where I had slept the dip did not come back up during our stay. The hotel was in the process of updating the key card system and the pool had a swipe entry while the rest of the hotel is tap entry. There is no notice on the door and no one at the front desk informs anyone that you need a different card to enter the pool. It was rather annoying. I let at least 10 people in while trying to enjoy the pool. I was a guest, not an employee. The staff should have been doing their job. The floor around the pool looked dirty and the towel rack was never close to full and the towels were tiny and thin, almost worn out. Everything but the rooms needs a serious update and remodel. Also the smell of marijuana on the first floor was not enjoyable. The continental was good. They used 3 rooms to make the breakfast room and it still felt small and crowded. There was a wide variety of breakfast options and it was quite enjoyable. Overall, spend a little more money and go somewhere else.

Called several hours ahead to tell them we would be there by 11pm for our reservation. Arrived at 10pm, after 14 hours of driving, just to be told that they don't have a room available for us. Whats the point of a reservation if a room isn't being reserved? edit: The owners response is unsatisfactory. Knowing we would be arriving after check in time, I made sure to call and let them know when I would be there, and even managed to arrive early. When the associate over the phone says, "we will make sure a room is ready for you", I think it's reasonable to expect a room to be ready and available. If you can't make that guarantee, don't say it. And yes, my card was charged for the night already. Luckily, my booking agency was able to process a reimbursement. After reading other recent reviews, it's clear that the review responses are low effort CYA, and not actually identifying and addressing the root causes of the issue. Very unprofessional. Be warned.

Spend the extra money get something bless trashy. Tons of extra fees. Booked it on the Wyndham's website says pet friendly, got there and they said an extra $25 a night for a pet. Fee was not on the website. This is my second Wyndham experience. They put nothing into their hotels. They know people will stay there anyway and obviously don't care about quality of any kind. Continental breakfast was straight awful food. Skip this and all Wyndham

Pool out of service....sometimes I wish that was better looked at because I picked this hotel for that exact reason. I was on vacation to see back doctors and have limited workout I can do...it was a set back. And I kept getting locked out of my room and the hotel which made me not feel safe with my belongings chiing on the bed instead of the safe that was also advertised online... I hate false advertising. Don't you guys know that people choose hotels based on these small details? Staff was nice and directed me and fixed my keys over 3 times. I started to think it was a sick joke after so long. Anyway....I may stay again if the pool works...

Terrible customer service. Stood in lobby for ten minutes finally yelled hello guy still wouldn't come up to desk. Called 3 times and was disconnected by voice-mail 2 times before he finally came to answer. Then was told that the room wasn't ready at check in. Same thing last time. Pool has been closed last 5 trips to boise. Puke in the sink one trip. Won't waste my time or effort here again

Super strong odor of natural gas when dryers are running. So strong it made me call the fire department not knowing where the smell was coming from outside. Fire department also dispatched gas company and gas company said this place has violations before for same thing. My son and myself decided for safety reasons we would get outta there and go to another hotel so someone walking by with a lit cigarette wonโ€™t make the place blow up like possibly here
