The food wasn't good at all. Maybe it was because we were there late and got the leftovers. It was my first time there too. My friend I was with didn't like the food either and she's been there before. Of course it's been awhile she said. We didn't really touch our food and the waitress didn't even ask if there was something wrong with it. I'm not a person who speaks her mind but I need to work on it. Anyway, neither is my friend so we paid for our meals which I had no idea they were so much. $14 and something and I could speak up and tell them i didn't think we should pay for them since we didn't eat and the few bites we did eat were not that great. I won't be going back but that's my opinion.

BE CAUTIOUS!!!!!!! Boise native here. This used to be one of my favorite places to go, but unfortunately it appears that this restaurant has gone extremely downhill. I’ve been coming to this place for about 20 years and I’ve never had such an awful experience not only at this restaurant, but at any restaurant. Almost my entire family got food poisoning. We were sick all weekend and we had a wedding to attend. Our server gave us soda that was CLEARLY out of syrup, You could tell just by looking at it. Most of the food wasn’t even hot and had a weird odor to it. Had a worse taste. It was clearly spoiled and several days old. A lot of the spoiled food was seafood. When I brought this up to a staff member, they just started all treating us very poorly. I work in the service industry myself. I have for about nine years. I'm usually very understanding when it comes to restaurants. However, this was horrible. Like BAD bad!!! Please be cautious!!! My family and I are not picky people and never ever get food poisoning!

Loved the popcorn shrimp, and the service waitress was the best, bar none. The American corresponding counter-parts (service waitresses) could use some guidance from the Orient in HOW TO RESPECTFULLY TREAT A CUSTOMER. I commend the owner in his selection of employees; as well as the employees for their exemplary service.

This hurts to write, but some of us got sick, so be cautious - my family and I have been coming here for over 20 years and have absolutely loved this place. Some of us were in town for a wedding and decided to go here for dinner, and we brought someone that has never been here while hyping this place up. The food was terrible, tasted old or rotten and cold, some not cooked. Even the fruit and jello was oddly bad. The only good thing was ice cream. They served us soda that was out of syrup and the lady noticed, and walked away. We brought up our hesitations and they said they understood, but then some of the staff started being pushy and rude. Sad days 😞😞

I spent an evening with my family at China Grand Buffet and enjoyed my stay a lot. The choice of food is excellent - different soups, various styles of chicken, pork, seafood, rice and noodles, sushi, all kinds of desserts. The quality of the food is very good, the staff is very friendly. Moreover, the prices are modest.

Food was super poor quality. Very little flavor, mostly over cooked meats with lots of fat left on each piece. Tried city buffet first. I think it was far better food with more flavorful options. While you may be thinking, “come on, it’s a buffet, what do you expect?” Well,They charge $15.50 for an adult. It’s not like you are getting a lot of run of the mill Chinese for a cheap price. I think for now I’ll stick to take out.

This place was alright. The people were awkward here. The food wasn’t so great, it was super oily and bland. The set up is also not so great it can get crowded especially if there’s lots of people. You’re better off going to Panda Express for some decent Chinese food.

Food was good. Lots of variety. You can't beat what they offer for the price. Very good value. We went during the week after lunch, and the food still looked fresh and were still being refilled. Service was quick. Usually, at a Chinese buffet, I expect wait staff to be slow, but not here. The waiter quickly brought our drinks and cleared our plates every time. Restaurant had some pretty large cool Chinese decor. Dim sum was a bit mushy and sushi selections did not have any with fish in it. But for the price, it's still a good deal.

The food isn’t as good as it used to be unfortunately. I’ve gone back despite this a handful of times because my family loves this place. This most recent visit, several things were like they had sat out in the buffet all day (like the green beans) and we were there at a busy time. The egg roll was kind of tough and chewy. The chicken and broccoli tastes like they barely cook the broccoli or they don’t cut the florets smaller so they get cooked. Everything else was fine though. Sad the hibachi hasn’t been open in a long time due to staff shortage.

Worst service ever. Took my son for his birthday with a few friends ( this was years ago). I tried to eat something, everything was nasty. As we left, some one grabbed my arm. I was accused of a dine and dash even though I had my receipt. I was furious. No apology what so ever. I demanded all my money back as well as tip. But of course....now nobody could speak English 🤬

My family and I have visited the China Grand Buffet many times! Too many to remember. The prices are spot on given the food choices and it's all you can eat. Service is always prompt and friendly. We will continue to visit.

Hey we love this place. Live around the corner and it's a good buffet however on Sunday night at 8:45pm I am paying full price to eat and more than half of the food is gone. You close at 10:00pm and your employees are checked out for the night. When your buffet offers significantly less than you should provide a discount. I just learned never to come in here two hours before close

This was my 1st and last time in this restaurant. Not terribly clean, food was very disappointing. Only this decent was the soft serve. I've never been to a China buffet that served Cajun seafood, and many dishes had jalapeños. No steamed rice, no fried rice, and nothing I'd want to go back to this place for.

Delicious food! You have to try the peanutbutter chicken! So good. Amazing decorations, friendly staff minus an older female cashing folks out. She never smiled and acted as though she was angry at other staff members.

Nothing special. A bunch of dishes thrown together. No creativity. Egg rolls hard and not good. Crab Ragoon not much taste. Don't think they were made there. Probably shipped in. I was just at a Chinese buffet in another state and for a cheaper price they had pork chops, barbecue chicken that was awesome, steak, and also there other dishes were much fresher, had more variety and better prepared. This place is a joke. I will never go back.

Saturday night buffet didn't have crab legs. Many other dishes I've never seen before. Overall the place is a solid Chinese all you can eat buffet. Many patrons there keeping food fresh.

So this place was not as good as I hoped. This is a disgrace to the Chinese cuisine. The chicken was very dry, their sushi options were terrible and their soups were way to watery. As a person with Asian heritage and have been to places with GOOD food I can definitely say this place does not have good food. Your way better off with getting panda express, same prices for eating as a adult.

Came on a Saturday night and was seated immediately, however we were finished with our first plate before we were even given drinks. Food was very hot and good, go for the soft serve ice cream though because the tubs of ice cream all have the other flavors mixed in from no one rinsing the scooper.

This place was very clean, friendly staff, and the food was just incredible! I've lived all over the U.S. (30+ states) and this is the BEST Chinese Buffett I've ever eaten. Every time I come through or to Boise I'm eating here.

Super friendly. Only ordered the House fried rice for takeout but the portion was huge, the price small and the pork/shrimp delicious qnd generous!

Was really good! Only reason I don't give 5 stars is because its selection is limited to differently cooked chicken. No selection for beef or like coconut shrimp, Fried sushi was cold. Why make 2 full rolls of fried sushi at the same time? It needs to be made fresh so maybe make smaller portions at a time...

The food is usually good here but this time it was sitting too long and was dried out. The sushi wasn't the greatest, the rice noodles tasted like something was burned, the salmon was way over cooked, the pot stickers were inedible and the desserts were stale. I don't think I'll go back on week nights if this is what happens when it's not busy.
