Beautiful park. Was not able to reserve an area that included a grill or $90 because they were said to have already been reserved. But when we arrived at 3:00 on a Sunday afternoon, 4th of July weekend, the park was sparsely filled and none of the reserved areas were being used. Great to have plenty of access and open picnic tables, but would have been nice if we could have been notified the grill areas were available.

Very clean, lots of picnic tables and shelters, trash can and recycle bins every 50 feet. Great playground for the kids and the nature walk next door has an entrance open to the park for easy access. It also, buts up next to the green belt with places to sit next to the river.

This was our first time here and it was absolutely amazing! My kids adored the nature center! We saw so many fish and crayfish. Plus we saw the size of a bald eagles nest. This place is perfect for both fun and education. A hidden gem for sure.

Great place has a lot of squirrels and a playground which makes it nice. Not only that but there is actually an area where there are tons of fish and even a couple otters in some water at the top part of the park.

This park is super underrated!! I find this park to have everything you need all super close to eachother. It has a playground, a large field for sunny picnics, beautiful trees for shade, bathrooms, pavilions with grills and so much more! Not to mention the Greenbelt, Boise River and MK Nature Preserve are also very close by. The environment is also very clean and has minimal geese (especially compared to other Boise public parks like Julia Davis or Katherine Albertsons).

I had a party at the silver maple site and it is beautiful. Plenty of shade, grand, fire pit,. Right next to the entrance to the nature center. You have to walk through. Period. Only one thing, watch for wasps around the fire pit, but I imagine that's everywhere.

Positive: Lots of mature trees offering wide open spaces and lots of shade. Great parking. Opportunities: Lots of hornets. Being a bug zapper. Restrooms are absolutely awful.

Beautiful little park right on the greenbelt, restrooms, picnic tables, access to M-K nature trail, which the kids will love. Walking distance to Albertsons Stadium

Love coming here with the family. Normally we will do a small walk around and look at the beautiful scenery before going to the park. The little ones love playing in their just as much as the walk. Great place to come and spend time with the family.

Municipal park stands out for four reasons: 1. Shade 2. Space 3. Grass 4. The river walkways/ green belt. It is hard to explain the massive shade this park has. The cotton? Elm? trees are massive, which means much of the park is shaded. There is a large amount of space for sports, and teams frequently use it for soccer. There are nice wide sidewalks through the park and along the river- enough space for four people to walk abreast. Yes, I said abreast. Possibly, all four could wear double-breasted suites.

This park is named after Kristin Armstrong, former professional road bicycle racer and three-time Olympic gold medalist, the winner of the women's individual time trial in 2008, 2012, and 2016. My family and I LOVE this park. My favorite aspects of the park are the access to the greenbelt, Boise river and trail; quiet and beautiful playground and grass area; and the large size of the park itself making it hard to feel crowded even when a school visits for a field trip to the nature walk there is enough room to do your own thing. It is located next to the Idaho Game and Fish which has a nature walk/reserve with free access from Kristin Armstrong. As the greenbelt connects a lot of parks, Kristin Armstrong is very close to Julia Davis and the zoo making it a good walk or quick bike ride. It also connects to the gold course and is close to Warm Springs rd where the penitentiary and other attractions and trails are located. The few times we have used the bathrooms they have been the cleanest park bathrooms I have ever used. The upkeep of this park is impressive and you can tell it is well respected.

Good jungle gym, large swaths of green grass and nice, big trees. The sandbox is in full sun, so keep that in mind. There are picnic areas you can reserve, but bathrooms are hit & miss: there's hand sanitizer in lieu of soap and only a 50% chance of water running in sink. 😥

This park is MUCH older than Mrs Armstrong, the name change is just to confuse you when you try to find directions to Municipal Park. It is a very nice park with lots of shade from the centurion trees.

Nice, mostly shady park. Large playground, many reservable group picnic areas and a shelter with bathrooms. Right on the Boise Greenbelt. This is one of my favorite outdoor space in town

It seemed like a nice little park, with lots of big trees. I had a lot of fun making a "fairy house" with my youngest sibling.

The setting of this park has old Boise vibes yet we'll maintained and clean. Access to the greenbelt and Boise river make it that much better. Perfect for get togethers and holidays and parties. Great playground for the kids.
