POSITIVES: It's no surprise that this place is always hopping! Even during a pandemic, this amazing little hole-in-the-wall won't fail to provide guests with the same quality food and experience every time. The food is made to order, so expect a little wait. It's worth it. Every bite is like a flavor adventure through a porteño's dream. You will salivate just thinking about it (the food I mean). Not to mention the nostalgia for those who are familiar with the Argentine delicacies that are empanadas. Equally impressive was the Tango Sub, a milanesa sandwich (flat steak that is breaded and fried, with tomato, lettuce, onion). Their churros are on par with what you'd expect from, say, Disneyland. Let's keep this place in business forever! NEGATIVES: the place is a little drafty, and quite tight for space. I do wish the empanadas were served with a side of limón wedges or a salsa of some sort. PRICE: $7-10 per person. Can't wait to return on my next visit to Boise! Would love to try those dessert empanadas.

First time here, what a treat! The empanada crust was perfect, and the fillings are delicious. Get the breakfast empanada. These folks know how to scramble an egg. :)

I've been here a couple of times and have really enjoyed it both times. I had the gaucho and the Moleh as savory and the Dulce de Leche for sweet. The only downsides were a bit of a wait time and the Dulce de Leche was really messy, but that's not a bad thing!

I love me some Tango's Empanadas! My family tried Tango's during the Holidays as a treat. It has been 3 months and we love this restaurant. They have options for everyone, Veggie, Meat, Seafood, Sweet and Fruit Filled. As well as sandwiches, churros and ice cream. Such a wonderful team operating here as well, and they make great suggestions! Oh, and the price... 🤫Such a great price for such wonderfully home made and filling food! Thank you Tango's!!

We stopped here for a quick lunch and we were glad we did. The empanadas were delicious, we tried several, but our favorite was the dessert one. So good, really makes us miss the Argentine restaurant we had in Twin Falls.

This place was recently featured on diners, drive INS, and dives and was awarded the best fast-casual and best food truck in the treasure valley for 2022. My brother-in-law has been coming here for years and convinced me to check it out. The food is amazing and the service is quick and friendly. The vibe is pleasant, casual, and enjoyable. There's a variety of food for both your main meal and for dessert and most of it for less than $4! 10/10 would recommend and we'll definitely be eating here again.

I recently tried Tango’s Empanadas during my weekend visit from Utah, and overall, the experience was positive. The variety of vegetarian options was impressive, and each empanada had its unique flavor profile. Personally, I enjoyed the poblano one the most, while my family had their favorites too – my oldest liked the onion, and my husband favored the potato. One minor concern was the inconsistency in temperature; some were hotter than others, making me a bit cautious about food safety. However, it's been over 8 hours, and I feel fine, so it's likely just a mental concern. The Mac and cheese option, though, was a bit bland for my taste. A bit more flavor could elevate it. Additionally, we agreed that all the empanadas could benefit from a dipping sauce – something spicy or with a touch of vinegar to enhance the overall experience. Despite these minor points, the dough was delightful, and the restaurant was clean and bustling, a sign that they are doing something right. If you're in the area and craving empanadas, Tango’s is worth a visit.

Loved the experience! We came in a little too close to closing but they were still accommodating and offered great, quick service. I got the Hawaiian and Mac & Cheese empanadas and they were both so good!!

Had the moleh empanada based on an employee recommendation. Flavor was good on the filling, but the best part was the flaky exterior.

Went here for the first time and got 6 different savory ones (spinach, mac n cheese, la Boca, moleh, la Bora, chimi) which were all great, and 3 dessert ones (cherry and cream cheese, key lime, and caribe). Unfortunately, the caribe desert and pinata did not end up in our bag so we had to call and after much discussion on their end, we were told we could come in in the next few minutes before they closed or the next day to pick up the replacement for the caribe one that was missing. They were all very good, and very reasonably priced. Total bill ended up being $12 for dinner and dessert per person, and we were STUFFED. Great place to go on a date or with friends to cut them into halves or thirds to trade and share flavors!!

Traveled to Argentina this summer and can say these empanadas are delicious and authentic!! The refried beans are some of the best I've ever had. The dessert empanadas were so delicious!

Smal quaint spot on orchard . Fairly steady parking was difficult the lot needs repairs . We ordered the BBQ,lengucia, chimicarne Chilli con Carne with sour cream, and a la plata dessert empenada. The chimi was a staff pick was very wet and the dough was soggy on the bottom kinda sad because the meat was very tender. Yet bland and oily The BBQ was very good could have used a stronger BBQ flavor but the empenada held up and the meat again was perfectly cooked. The lenguica lacked a sauce and when it cooked all the ingredients went to one side so half had nothing in it . And had bout 7 small slices of lengica total . The Chilli was so blend all you tasted was sour cream but the pocket held up to the challenge . My fave was the la Plata it was a strawberry and cream not super sweet so perfect for me and dusted with powdered sugar . That one was the winner for me. Will go back to try some of their authentic flavors but so far the savory ones were bland . As for the prices they are perfectly priced so you can try more than one and not break the bank. And portions were great when sharing to get the experiance .

Super major awesome deliciousness!!!! Only 3.75 for a delicious empanada! I got the gaucho, chimicarne, and the spicy empanada and they were so fresh and tasty. Fast and friendly service and comfy environment. Highly recommended

Always good, nice staff, the El Puerco is my favorite next to the La Papa as well. My friend had the mole one and liked it a lot. The Bavarian was had by the other friend from out of town, and they loved it. Altogether, and as always, a great experience.

Legit amazing! Husband and I shared 3 empanadas and made 1 a meal so we could try the fries. We got the saltena, chicken tinga and el puerco and they were all amazing. The fries are I think the best I have ever had, we almost got more even though we were so full! We cannot wait for the Meridian location to open up. We will be going to much more for sure! The customer service was wonderful as well and very reasonably priced.

Best little combo- empanada, fries and a drink! My favorite is the Picosa, jalapeño and cheese!

The empanadas were delicious and I loved the variety of sweet and savory fillings they offered! Next time I would ask for salsa for the savory ones but it was delicious even without it! They were very fast.

Passing through Boise & I'm going to have to come back to town just to eat empanadas here- absolutely amazing! I used to be sad about Taco Bell getting rid of their caramel apple empanadas but the dulce de leche empanada here destroys that one with oozing gooey deliciousness, just incredible!

How can you not love a local restaurant that sells fried stuffed bread? Empanadas are one of my favorite foods, and Tangos has so many to choose from! My husband has food allergies, and I love that there is plenty for him to eat here. Good service, convenient takeout packaging, just yummy!

Had the goucho empanada and a choripan. Both delicious. Also bought a kilo of yerba mate and the staff were helpful picking which to try. I’ve tried two of the four they have and wasn’t sure the difference between Rosemont and Rosemont Special. They suggested Special. Overall, a great experience.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Boise. Reliably fabulous empanadas in classic Argentine style. Very affordable (most are $3.75) and very filling. I have a big appetite and can barely finish two. Many have meat but there are also many vegetarian and dessert options. We love the chicken tinga and the rajas and cordoba are our fave vegetarian options. You can’t go wrong! Love this place.

Very tasty and fresh empanadas! Also super generous with the serving size, especially considering the price. Definitely pick some up if you wanna support a local business, you won’t be disappointed!

What a perfect crust! And a wide selection of fillings. My wife, who once lived in Argentina, said it was very good and authentic.

This place is awesome and I’m shocked at some of the bad reviews. Their food is delicious, surprisingly affordable and I love that it’s family owned. I feel like some of the people who left nasty reviews on here are the same people who give 5/5 to Applebees and fast food joints. 🙄 If you want delicious food that’s affordable and to support a local, family business then look no further.

Absolutely delicious empanadas. The savory options are flavorful and filling and the dessert empanadas are decadent. It does take a bit of time to prepare/fry them once you order at the counter, so be prepared for that if you're in a hurry, but it felt very reasonable - I think I waited about ten minutes for my order to be completed, including a couple orders before mine. I've had a great experience every time I come here. There is parking in the back, and although it's a small space there is seating inside and a bit outside.
