While there is a lot of “Good to Excellent” facets to rate this hotel, I chose “OK” due to the amount of floor dust and dust bunnies under the beds in our rooms and its categorization as a luxury hotel. Normally, I’d consider the dust an isolated incident, but with lots of dust under our beds in both our Double Deluxe and Twin Deluxe rooms that makes it different in my opinion. I wish we had earlier recognized the room was what eventually caused severe allergies for my wife and I but just never thought it would be our room in a luxury hotel. I filled out a guest card with our contact indicating our disappointment in the rooms from that perspective, I told the desk clerk and she said she would pass our concerns to the hotel manager. It would have been nice had the manager looked to confirm the problem we identified and contacted us recognizing that was unacceptable for a luxury type hotel. The location for exploring is great, the staff was helpful, the breakfast was good.

This is a charming older hotel. We loved the ambience of the hotel, its location in the historic centre and the helpful front and breakfast room staff. The newer dining/breakfast area is lovely. Our room was spacious, excellent large wardrobe space. The bathroom was reasonable in size and had scales. Older historic buildings do have limitations however this added some old world charm. The staff guided us to the garage location and assisted with our luggage. The garage location was very convenient to enter and exit the old centre on day trips. Thank you to Eugene at Reception for all the recommendations.

We had an outstanding stay at Hotel Corona d’Ora in Bologna. The room was beautiful and quiet with a very comfortable bed, lovely linens and large soft towels. The staff are incredibly accommodating, helpful in every way possible and always with a smile on their faces. Check-in and check out were a breeze. Their recommendations for restaurants were great. The location was very central, in the heart of the city, close (5-10 minutes walk) to major squares, shops, museums and restaurants. I highly recommend this beautiful and luxurious hotel.

Love lies and misinformation? Wanna pay 40 euros per night for a parking space on a hotel that has no parking? Stop right here, we have a winner for you. Trust these guys and prepare to be amazed. I reserved a room over the phone and got hustled on the price like it was a turkish bazaar. They even started with a price quite higher than booking.com. But the cherry was the parking. They promised that the hotel had parking, but they did not mention that this is ~5 minutes (by car!) from the hotel. The guy made me think that he will wait for me, as i would arrive after midnight, but it turns out they have 24hr reception anyway. What a joke. Drove for 15 minutes in the narrow paved roads, in order to reach the hotel, only to find out that i have to do it all over again to get to their parking which is away from the hotel itself. I just left and chose another hotel for the night. Keep away.

We have just returned from the most amazing time in Bologna. This hotel is absolutely fantastic, from the lovely welcome you receive from all the staff, to the most comfortable bed and pillow you could wish for in a beautiful room. The location is excellent, walk out the front door and you are in the historic centre where everything is walkable. The breakfast which was included in our stay was excellent and there was a great variety of food which were all delicious. We did not want to come home. Thank you so much for such a memorable stay.

If you are looking to stay in Bologna this is the place to stay. Firstly it is ideally located in the heart of the city close to the two towers and Piazza Maggiore. Secondly the staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent and we enjoyed cocktails at the bar. The room had a balcony and a large bathroom. Although not enormous it was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Lovely, quiet, beautiful hotel right in the middle of everything you want to see in Bologna. Our room was gorgeous, the restaurant is beautiful, the staff are extremely kind. What more could you ask for? We will be back!!

Stunning and comfortable rooms, fantastic and helpful service, and a perfect location. The whole hotel was decorated impeccably and the rooms were extremely comfortable. The staff at the front desk were so friendly and helpful and recommended heaps to see/do/eat in Bologna. Located in the middle of all the good stuff, everything is just a short walk away. Just a couple of things to note: the hotel is a little tricky to access by car/taxi since it’s on a very narrow street, so you might have a little walk after getting dropped off. And it would be helpful for Americans with a lot of luggage to know that the standard rooms are quite small (but nevertheless incredibly nice and comfortable.

This is a good Hotel to stay when in Bologna. Rooms are pretty and nice. Location is just perfect. Staff at the front desk and in restaurant are very friendly and professional. Good job! Only negative thing what I have to mention is housekeeping. They didin’t wash glassed in room and they didin’t clean up the toilet properly. Small things that could be fixed easily. All in all very pleasant stay.

A very good choice for visiting the city. Major points of interest are all in walking distance and still on a quiet street. Rooms are comfortable, clean. Breakfast is very good. Hotel is in general in good condition.

I'm absolutely amazed by this hotel, in every aspect. Firstly, it's impeccably clean, and I've never encountered such cleanliness in any hotel I’ve stayed at before. The Italian culture shines through with its charm, sophistication, intelligence, and a profound appreciation for art and detail, making every corner of this establishment a work of art. Not only is the hotel ideally centrally located, but it also exudes coziness and a vibrant, enjoyable atmosphere. The staff members are truly exceptional, providing top-notch service. A standout moment was when I had my clothes cleaned; I was astounded by the results. I dropped them off at 9 am and received them back by 5 pm at the latest. They collaborate with professional laundry service, that goes above and beyond your expectations. Clothes returned pressed, completely wrinkle free, shirts were buttoned, and hanged. They can also dry clean. It seems like there’s nothing these guys can’t do. Quite frankly I was shocked and have never received that level of professionalism and self-sufficiency except maybe at a ritzy hotel in NYC. This town, in all its charm and allure, is something truly special. I was saddened to leave but definitely plan on returning soon.

Hotel is lovely. Our room was very comfortable and the front desk employees very friendly and helpful! The hotel is in a great location , in the middle of everything, yet quiet. Clean room, comfortable bed, and kind staff. Will definitely stay here again.

Overall the hotel was really nice. The staff was great and the location is right in the heart of the city. My only complaint was the size of the room. We got a standard room and we could not open both our medium size bags. If you are staying here with one suite case the standard room will work. If you have more than one bag either get a bigger room or pick a different hotel.

Highly recommend! Very well maintained and managed. I hardly can find any unsatisfactory point. And, it is in excellent location near Piazza Maggiore and shopping street. Breakfast is well managed and can ask for the freshly cooked egg dishes. And, TERZI which is one of very hot cafe in Italy is just next door.

This Hotel is fantastico, we stayed in March for a birthday celebration & Ferrari hire/visit. Staff were nearly as excited as I when the Ferrari was delivered outside ! Excellently placed for mooching about the town. Staff & management were brilliant.

We stayed in a "classic" room. As soon as we heard that word, we figured it would be small, and it was. However, the room fulfilled our needs. The hotel has a great breakfast and could not be in a better location. BTW, this was our 4th trip to Italy, but our first time in Bologna. What a terrific city!

Loved my long weekend stay here! Amazing location and very nicely decorated and clean hotel. I stayed in January and the room was warm enough, the staff were super friendly and the breakfast and coffee very delicious. I’ll be staying here gladly again when I visit Bologna.

Beautiful hotel, great service and location. Only complaint is the WiFi. We had difficulty getting on and staying on. Be careful, you may think you are on and you aren’t!! You will use up your data plan!!!!

Big room, good location and nice breakfast Room could of been cleaner and no complimentary water in the rooms. Generally good but would expect a few more amenities for the price.

Stayed at the Corona in April for my wife's birthday - could not have had a warmer welcome from an excellent staff team in an excellent location. With customer service rather lacking in the UK it was very refreshing to encounter such a professional team, full marks to everyone from reception, to house keeping to the bar and kitchen team but a special mention to Julio in the restaurant - really went out of his way to ensure we had a great experience, I am confident you'll continue to develop the Romania focused fine dining and wine menu; We look forward to seeing you all again on the next visit

Excellent quality of service, accommodation and hospitality! Recently returned and still as good as ever. Quiet and well-appointed rooms. Those with balconies (especially 211 and 214)worth seeking out. Perfect location for exploring (and eating).

Great location and structrure (architectural meaning). - personal is gentle and helpful. Many or even too much lack of attention to details as: - breakfast which has a very small choice of products, all the rest you have to pay. - the garage is 300m away in a city centre and not well explained how to reach the hotel from. - rooms quietness , well during the weekend but on Monday morning at 6AM. a truck worked for an hal an hour to replace the waste bin (regular work). - room choice, I booked with Booking and not the basic room, instead of that a middle price choice. We were stocked in the behind of the structure .... see previous point. - cleaning: old structure but very well maintained but I cross a stuff meter who's was coughing without mask telling at the phone she feels sick and pneumonitis feeling 😢 😭 I feel this structure is managed by a family without a really professional based organisation. I'll definitely find something else the next time.

We booked a two night stay but had trouble finding the hotel because of road closures in the center city of Bologna. We called the hotel. The woman at the front desk was not helpful with directions. We finally found the hotel garage located 400M from the hotel. (Long walk) Once we checked in, we ask for suggestions to eat lunch. Again the same woman at the front desk was not helpful. We stayed the first night. There was mold in the shower and no cleaned tables in the hotel restaurant for breakfast. The carpet in the hallways was stained and the front desk attitude was bad. We decided to check out a day early. Even though the room had mold, they charged us for the 2nd night. This hotel is NOT a place to stay. It's a poor quality 3-Star hotel, not a 4 Star as Travelocity indicates.

Fantastic, elegant hotel in a great location to enjoy everything that Bologna offers. Staff are brilliant, rooms spacious, clean and well equipped and the bar/restaurant is excellent. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend.

A charming hotel in an old house renovated perfectly. Well designed room and amazing public areas. The best location possible, at the heart of Bologna. Friendly professional service. Highly enjoyable stay.

Perfection! First, their location! It makes easy to visit and live the city centre. Welcoming and warming staff. They make you feel home or like you have been knowing them for ages. Although it is located in the heart of the city, it is very quiet in the night, which is good. We tried their new restaurant that took our senses to the stars. We decided we will always book there for our yearly trip to Bologna.
