Beautiful park just outside Bologna, to the south of the city. Accessible from following the trail from Porta San Mamolo. The walk can be steep in some places but fine for people of average fitness. Lots of fruit trees and paths lined with oak, ash, cyprus trees in addition to the vineyards. Dog friendly and kid friendly too.

One of the most stunning park of Bologna, in the hills of Bologna. There are path that are very steep but worth the cardio exercise, the most snapped area you need to teach up to see the whole city.

A really nice park with lots of trees and fields of grass. The views of Bologna are stunning and there’s even a wine tavern providing refreshments (check for opening hours!). There’s a drinking water fountain right next to the villa. The park is a perfect spot to bring a snack, enjoy a picnic in the shade and relax from the partially steep climb.

really amazing place for picnic you can barbecue and enjoy delightful view. but it is crowded and noisy a little bite.

Very beautiful park with stunning views of Bologna, about a 20 minute walk from the city center. Lots of nice hiking trails and space to let your dog run. Several areas where you can fill up water bottles, plus a little cafe near the Villa. Added bonus: it's free!

Der Aussichtspunkt auf der Anhöhe im der Park Villa Ghigi bietet, vor allem um die Zeit der Dämmerung und des Sonnenuntergangs eine reizvolle Sicht über Bologna. Der Ausgangspunkt ist mit dem Bus 29 sehr gut erreichbar. Allerdings sind nach dem Aussteigen um die 30 Minuten für den Weg und den Aufstieg einzuplanen. Leider ist der Weg nicht ausgeschildert, aber Google Maps ist eine gute Hilfe.

A large and clean park, overlooking the outskirts of the city. Highly recommended to go on a hike or ride a bike here.

Great park walking distance (30 min) from the city center. In the right season you can pick cherries and other fruits. Wonderful place for a peaceful hike

one of the parks you don't have to miss if you visit Bologna for a few days. it is very close to the center, accessible on foot, beautiful landscapes. very nicely arranged. it's perfect for outdoor activities, alone or with loved ones.

Great quiet place away from the madness of the city. I go running here at least three times a week. Walkable from the centre I.e. piazza maggiore. Nice in all seasons

Great view over Bologna. Perfect for a short hike or to g o tanning during spring.

One of my favourite parks in town. Very nice walk till the top of the hill, where you can experience on of the best view of Bologna. Take the path till the "Eremo di Ronzano" to fully enjoy this park.

Amazing park to see Bologna from the hill! Great view of towers and churches​ from up there! Quiet place to relax not so far from city center.

Pretty steep hike, but well worth the effort.

Not what we expected. Very steep climb from the eastern side where we entered. The villa is almost in ruins, there is nothing to see. But it’s nice nature with some nice vistas from the top.
