Location is Ratan pally, hence a very peaceful neighbourhood. Modest accommodation (toilets could be better maintained). Food quantity is not commensurating with price (heard it used to be good 4 months back). Quantity very low. Breakfast options were only butter toast (2 medium) with egg that costs a hefty Rs 80. Luchi features in menu but I was told that Sunday has got no other options. This is not a homestay. Akshay (the manager) was polite, and helpful.

Delux double beded room is spacious with balcony and also neat and clean. Surrounding environment is very calm and quite. Cooking is homely and good Last but not least staff are very polite and concerned with the needs of the visitors.

I must say it is one of the best places to stay in Shantiniketan. Bengali cuisine was mouth watering. Rooms are large with balconies. Stringent hygiene has been maintained. I am impressed.

I went Bolpur for office tour & stayed at Zara Homestay in Ratanpally. The Homestay to be at walkable distance to Biswabharati. Rooms are also clean, respectful staff ( Akshay Kr. Saha ), Nice food also. I love the stay. I'll definitely stay at this place in our next Shantiniketan trip with my family.

Warm reception and polite behavior of the staffs will make you happy. Rooms were too good & not expensive. Above all the serenity of the place will definitely satisfy you.

Likes: 1) Room was spacious and good 2) Toilet was very clean 3) Food quality was good 4) Staff behavior was excellent 5) Room service given as per request was good Dislikes: 1) Foods are over-priced. Should be a bit reasonable to qualify the concept of homestay 2) Low maintenance - Need to take care if there is running water in the rooms time to time; Need to take care if AC is working fine or not before allocating a room to tourists;

I spent 2 days and 2 nights in Zara Homestay.The hotel is fabulous. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Hotel staffs are well behaved and they provided us as per our need. The hotel provided us Toto service for sight scene purpose. Toto drivers were very polite and helpful. The food was of good quality.

Zara homestay is a very good hotel option in Shantiniketan, Bolpur. Location of the hotel was peaceful but far from main market area.If you want to go to the market for some work, you have to hire a Toto and that will take only 5 minutes. Otherwise everything was good The manager Akshay was very cooperative and little boy of this homestay 's was very cute he always gave services with a smiley face . Very nice to have stayed in Zara Homestay. All is well but few things would have to change in rooms. 1) Bed cover 2) Blanket 3) Towels 4) cooking quality 5) Drinking water
