It was a great experience to have a lunch at ঘরে বাইরে in a beautiful afternoon. We tried the non veg thali comprising Rice, dal, fry, vegetables and mutton curry. The sweet at the end was also really tasty. We also ordered prawn curry and pabda fish in the meal. It was a great experience to have the meal in that beautiful place. The service was good and price was reasonable.

Ghare Baire is based at the Bolpur, adjacent to Club Central with a rustic feel and the ambience is great. The Food is tasty too. Opted for Classic Non-Veg Thali (Mutton) which costed Rs.430/- as of 2nd September,23. Do try the Mutton curry here.

Except their time management no complaint you can raise about this restaurant. Well decorated and completely matches with Bolpur ambience. Fingers licking Bengali cuisines. They are offering thali also. Fish or meat thali includes daal vaja sabji chatni misti all. You can opt out Indoor seating with AC hall or outdoor seating with shading umbrella at well maintained garden. A boutique for dresses and accessories is another attraction. Trial room is also available.

Excellent food, and authentic Bengali cuisine, definitely among the very best eateries in the vicinity. The hospitality of the great people in charge to serve you adds to the wonderful experience. The seating arrangement is superb too, with combination of indoor and outdoor seating. Food is reasonably priced

A decent place for lunch or dinner in the heart of the Bolpur. They prepare finger-licking Bengal cuisines. You must try the Mutton Curry. The Alu Posto in the Thali was extremely good. The atmosphere is also cozy. The interior will give a feel of Shantiniketan vibes. The items in the Thalis are unlimited except Fish/Mutton/Chicken.

One of the best places to eat in Bolpur/Shantiniketan. They serve lunch/dinner thalis (plates) as well. Taste is amazing. Service is prompt and the premises are great too. There's a boutique next to the restaurant as well

Good, overall. For being a Kolkata's Bangali, it's just fine the way it should be. The posto dish has Bankura-ish flavor. However, we came to know about about another place, where it gets it's lovely crockery from (Confetti, Daronda).

Food is ok, like home food. One mutton piece was totally not eatable, when we notify the person there, his response was 'before consuming you should inform, then we could change', how come one can do that. Rest food was good. Ambiance was decent.

It is one of the best Bengali Restaurants in Bolpur. Excellent ambiance with warm hospitality. They maintain 100% hygiene. They serve delicious bengali food at economic rate. The restaurant is spacious with huge car parking facility. They attend all customers very carefully. One must visit this restaurant while visiting Bolpur.

A very decent restaurant to stop for lunch. Nothing out of the extraordinary but the food is standard and on point. The meat portion sizes can improve a bit.

The food, for the price, was okay. We had chicken pakoda, as a starter, which was a bit undercooked. So the food was underwhelming. Not as great as it is hyped up to be.

One of the worst resturant..from where I'll start?..first impression staffs were busy on watching IPL..they have some items showing on the table mentioning today's special..when we tell them to take order they said it's finished...then we ordered prawn malaikari.. that was without salt..and polau was literally half cooked...staffs behaviour is horrible..when we were complaining they were showing cold attitude..we were asking the restaurant owner number they said he doesn't leave here..he leaves in states..I really want the number of owner just to tell him his staffs will make him bankrupt

Mouth watering delicious Bengali food. We started off with the delicious fish fry and tried the chicken and fish thali (you can choose either) They also have other ala carte options as well.

Worst experience we have.Their behaviour is too bad and food is also very. The waiters were busy to watch TV, instead of attending guest.

There are some extreme reviews that I got across the web. This is neither a 5 rated restaurant nor a 1 rated one. The food and ambiance are average both. We had thalis - fish, mutton, chicken, Pulao and chicken and French fries. Food was good. Reasonable portion sizes - sufficient for one person. Slightly expensive if you compare what is otherwise available but worth a try.

Nice place to visit, great ambiance, superb plating. But most importantly food taste which need to improve a lot, even as a Bengali food. Hygiene factor is there as we found hair on rice, but they change the plate immediately, which is a good gesture. Overall good experience, good stuff, but taste need to be improve.

Always one of the busiest and most popular dining places in Santiniketan. The quality of the food is quite good, but the taste is not great at all. However the environment and serving time are very good. Their food can be tested at once. However, it is not at the bottom of the list of food places in Santiniketan. More variety in tests and menus can boost their ratings. 🙏🙏🍝🍜

We visited the place for lunch while returning from tarapith.. The place is beautiful , it has a parking, spacious inside and beautifully decorated... it has AC and NonAC sitting arrangement, staffs are polite and food is good. If you are for a restaurant for authentic Bengali food .. this the place to consider.

Ambience and service was superb. The waiter not only welcomed us with a smile but helped us in choosing the right quantity when we preferred a-la-carte. This was backed by food of extremely high quality. It was a very enjoyable meal.

This restaurant is an authentic Bengali establishment, known for its delectable Bengali cuisine. While their Chinese dishes may not be up to par, the Bengali dishes served here are truly exceptional. The ambience of the restaurant is also noteworthy, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere for diners. Additionally, this place offers an in-house boutique, adding a unique touch to the overall experience. Overall, this restaurant provides a professional and enjoyable dining experience, with a focus on Bengali cuisine and a charming ambience.

Ghore Baire offers a delightful dining experience that beautifully encapsulates the essence of authentic Bengali cuisine. The restaurant boasts a decent ambiance and an extensive menu, both of which contribute to a satisfying visit. I had the pleasure of savoring their well-prepared mutton dish, accompanied by delicious rice and paratha. What truly stood out, though, was their flavorful chutney, adding a unique twist to the meal. Whether you prefer à la carte or thali, Ghore Baire caters to both preferences exceptionally well. The restaurant's decor is thoughtfully designed, creating an artistic atmosphere. The presence of Rabindranath Tagore photos and other art pieces inspired by him adds a cultural touch that enhances the overall dining experience. Moreover, I must commend the excellent service provided by the attentive staff, which made us feel truly valued as diners. However, I would like to mention that the washroom facilities could be improved to ensure cleanliness and hygiene. Taking all these factors into account, I would rate Ghore Baire four stars. Despite the minor concern about the washroom, the restaurant's great food, attentive service, and artistic ambiance make it a must-visit spot in Santiniketan for anyone looking to savor the flavors of authentic Bengali cuisine.

We ordered bengali chicken thali of 275... everything in it was on 🔥..we cant even find a single bad thing about this entire place..boys r well dressed restaurant was well lightened except for the mosquito. We even tried peas polao and believe me..it was 6 on 5..a must try at ghare baire.thalis items are enough for two person with one plate polao. One thing to mention about the owner he is so much artistic with unique mind..the washroom got a rose in a ceramic cup ❤️

It would be a sin if you miss this place during your visit to shantiniketan. Everything was fabulous. Food was mouthwatering with perfection in every dish, prices are very reasonable for the quality, relaxed ambience and courteous staff. It made our day.

Visited on March 08th 2023. The place was too crowded then because of the dol/holi festival. Ordered 2 Nonveg thalis one with masala fish and one with mutton. Personal feedback - The taste- mutton was too bland but the masala fish was tasty (would recommend masala fish) Quantity - since it was a thali, it was wholesome (4 small pieces of mutton and 1 piece fish) Service - good Ambience - good

We had ordered Chicken thali but didn’t like the chicken soup (jhol) at all. It’s too thin. Didn’t like the taste at all but it was average. Expected more from the famous restaurant. Ambience was awesome. 👍🏽

Food is average but costly compare to it's quality. Atmosphere is good. Service is good. Need to improve the quality and quantity both compare to price. Anyway you can visit 1 or 2 times as it is in main city.

Ghore Baire is a must visit for every foodie travelling to Bolpur. This place is as good as any highly reputed restaurant in Kolkata. The food was good as always and the portion sizes are excellent. Probably the best place to enjoy a good meal with friends or family. You can get thalis or even go for ala carte orders as well. They make a lipsmacking kabiraji and the alu posto was awesome as well. They served a paratha that was the size of an entire plate. In the restaurant, you can find a variety of table sizes, so no worries if you're dining in as a big group or a couple. The decor is also a top notch with Instagramable corners all around the restaurant.

Nice ambience, the flavour of bolpur and the quality of food they have provided was great.. Best part is their thali is available in evening time also.. Food we have ordered..one veg thali that contains: 1. Rice with ghee 2. Dal and jhuri aloo bhaja 3. Aloo posto 4. Alu potol rosha 5. Chatni 6. Papad 7. Misti 8. Prawn masala (separate) Food was good in taste, prawn should be little fried more, overall it was very good, they will repeat the rice also.. They have their own buisness within the premises, you can check out that also while visiting the restaurant, staffs are very friendly and well-behaved, if you are visiting bolpur and mostly searching for thali at dinner, it's the best place to visit..

It's a good restaurant. You will get to taste the authentic bengali cuisine. They have good sitting area. One is inside the restaurant and the other is outside in the garden. The place is hygenic and well maintained. The staffs are good and maintain proper bengali outfits. It is not heavily crowded. For two people there will be a pocket pinch of Rs. 700 Approximately. There is good parking facility also. If you're visiting bolpur, you can try eating out at this place.

Their Thalis are pretty decent in value for money. Even though I wouldn't say that their food is exceptionally good, it is pretty decent. Especially by the standards of food available in Bolpur in general, this restaurant stands out in maintaining their quality, courteous service and ambiance. I would surely visit this restaurant if I'm in the mood for some homely Bengali food in Bolpur.
