Authentic bengali dishes specially fish and mutton dishes are really mouth watering as well as pocket friendly. They provide parcel perfectly in containers. Behavior of serving men has been excellent, tirelessly served food repeatedly as per your requirement. Owner/ management is so cautious about the reputation of the food and service, they ask you whether you liked or not after finishing your meal. In today's commercial business mentality oriented business institutions Mahamaya hotel is way ahead of others in hospitality and quality.

Food is good. Prices are reasonable as per Bolpur standards. But they are charging extra near about 40 rupees to pack a 80 rupees thali. Even if you bought alluminium foils from outside they won't pack food in that. It's clearly cheating. For Dine-In it's good. For takeaway it's really really bad.

If you are hungry and want food like home cooked one, you can go here. Totowalas will charge 10rs, if you go by a shared toto. It's hardly 5mnts drive from station. On the left side. It's running from 1958. It's clean. Service is very good. One interesting point is, IF YOU PREFER MACHER MATHA, OR LYAJA, THEY CAN PROVIDE IT. Matha is really big. 😃 😀

After a long day of work, we are looking for a place to have some Roties & Tadka and we told them to parcel those things. They took approx 30 mins to prepare the food and that was ok. After that, the billing part came. For each e every container they are charging Rs.5/-, in fact they just have wrapped the roties with the silver foil wrap they have charged Rs.5/-, and the worst part is they are also going to charge for the simple Shal Patar Plate also, but after seeing our facial expression they didn't do that. Now the Taste part- Roties are half done + Tadka is saltless + full of chilies & tasteless.....
