It is really awesome place to stay. The environment of this area is amazing. People are friendly and helpful. Bus service is good. The most problem of this area is that it is too hot during summer than any other areas in west bengal. So if you want to visit then visit during winter only. During winter it's just amazing.

Bolpur Shantiniketan Station is Ok only, doesn't match with the expectations. This is an International Tourist attraction. But no national level facilities are available... Escalators are there but not working maxinun times. Drinking water, seating arrangements, light on the platforms are very inadequate... Railway staffs like Ticket Collectors, RPF or GRPs are hardly visible... So, no security check or health check & no saniization drive on the platforms during the ongoing COVID 19 situation. Maximum people are roming on the platforms without mask.

Beautiful neat and cleaning railway station. This is quite fit to access Santiniketan Visvabharati University campus. Just at a 200mtr distance, Geetanjali complex (Rail museum) is also found where there is preserved rail memories of Rabindranath Tagore during his routine life of travelling.

A rail gateway to the famed Shantiniketan and Viswa bharati university. It takes about 2.5 hours from Kolkatta to get here and the station is fairly well maintained. Electric rickshaws that seat 5 people in comfort can be hired to get around. The trains arriving into Bolpur from kolkatta and west normally stop on platform 1, so one can just walk out. The west bound trains to Howrah and other places are on platform 2 and it was a pleasant surprise to see a escalator operating for the benefit of all.
