Decided I wanted a carvery and this place never let's me down for quality for the price you pay. Wasn't too busy as only just opened the carvery but good customer service. Only thing this visit that let it down was my drinks order took longer then expected to arrive it did arrive with a smile and a good service though.

Sunday afternoon at 2pm, the busiest time of the week for a carvery venue, and we hadn't booked. This place was packed. But within five minutes they had us seated, and it was quite spacious too, and twenty minutes later the food arrived, and it was great. Well presented and tasty, and plenty. Didn't have a carvery but have had one here before and that was brilliant too. Despite the sheer amount of customers everything was clean and everything was clockwork, everybody knew exactly what they were doing. The staff were tidy and polite. It's not a posh restaurant so don't expect crystal, but it's great value. I'm not going to say that everyone will have a perfect visit. But we did.

We had the pleasure of eating here while visiting family. Wow how nice the staff are, pleasant professional and full of smiles. We had the carvery and the chef serving was probably the friendliest bloke I've met. The food was fantastic hot fresh and great value. I loved the kids area and although some of the grab machines didn't work we were quickly refunded with many apologies. I can't wait to visit again.many thanks

So where do I start, meals were all piping hot, plenty of choice, lovely staff (especially Sarah) prepared to go the extra mile, nothing was too much trouble. We had both carvery & off the fixed menu & all was excellent, after generous portions of mains we just had to try the puddings, what a smart move that was !! The sticky toffee pudding was to die for, piping hot like the rest of the food, generous portion once again & a very pleasing taste with lots of sticky toffee but not too much to spoil it. Last but not least the pricing was very competitive too. All in all a very pleasant visit and will definitely be returning. Well done to all on shift !!

Stopped in for a drink and a cake while visiting in Mansfield. First time visit and wow. The size of the cakes were huge as you can see from the picture, that lemon cheesecake was the best I've tasted up to date. It has a lemon curd type syrup though it and on the top. Some little candied lemon pieces and a big blob of whipping cream, whipped to almost butter cream consistency and it came with some single pouring cream too. It tasted absolutely Heavenly, i couldn't finish it all, but i had a good go. Can't wait to visit again and try the carvery first before the cake 😊

Want for a carvery with my mum and my son, we all loved it, beautifully cooked meats, great selection of vegetables and all wonderfully tasty! We even got a desert to take away because the cakes looked so amazing we just couldn't leave without some! We will most definitely eat here again.

Was greeted buy the host and hostess Tom and Emma with smiles for miles . Was shown our table we booked and was amazed with the service we got from bar staff to the waiters and waitress , Nathan , Clayton and a young girl who I didn’t quite catch her name but she was amazing . Food and drinks ordered at bar met with smiles from another lady and she dealt with our order with proper professionalism. We then went to the carvery station and was greeted by Cameron and Tina first who made sure we was served professionalism again . Food was hot cooked to perfection and Ben who was making sure the station was clean and enough food out for the customers was spot on , check backs was prompt and we had no problem with our food or anything . The place is welcoming and you feel at home with all the staff once again lovely Sunday lunch out and amazing quality of presentation and food and the waiter nathan walking around in a think it was a inflatable turkey costume . Smiles all round We be deffently going again But a lot easier booking a table for our visit

What a great place with amazing staff. Adele was the perfect host. What a great team if people. First we stopped for the magnificent coffee and cake. Never seen cakes so huge. So big i brought some home. Then called back later for the carvery which was beautiful cooked to perfection and tasty. This is definatly one not to miss and worth the drive out just for a giant piece of cake. Now on our list of good places to eat with friendly staff who care about there customers. A big thank you to all. And an even bigger hello and thank you to ADELE who made us feel so welcome. Best regards Gary & Karen BE57AGE

Kings Mill Farm is exactly what you'd expect from a carvery. The service is always quick and attentive, even when it's busy. Staff are kind and helpful. The range at the carvery is always bang on too.

Came for carvery lunch today. As it was busy we sat at a bar table. Food and service was excellent. My dinner guest was amazed that the cutlery was sat at the table waiting for us when we came back from collecting our food even though we hadn’t provided a table number. Magical

Compared to another carvery we tried nearby (which wasn't good), this was so much better. Perfectly cooked turkey and beef, a great choice of veg and everything piping hot. They even gave me a slice of cake free as it was my 60th birthday.

This place is so much better. The cakes etc are still too big, a heart attack waiting to happen but apart from that it's all great. The carvery is brilliant, lots of choice of vegetables and the meat is very nice. The added bonus and this is why they get my vote over Toby Carvery is you can have a small plate if you're not a big eater like me. The staff are lovely and accommodating, the premises clean and well set out. Not bad prices either and lots of parking. Well done Greene King.

Been wanting to try this place, went in for breakfast and there was a wait to order but the tall dark haired guy opened another till and saw to us. Very friendly and good customer service, but all Downhill from that. The breakfast is very lazy, it’s not even that it’s poor quality. The bacon has been cooked in an oven on a tray and was all stuck together and very pale, people had been digging for a bit that had colour which had broken a lot up into pale fatty strands. The toast was cooked on the griddle so it was really just bread with burn lines on it. The mushrooms were weirdly dry and chewy but also greasy but the eggs were by far the worst, solid yolks on all of them and the scrambled eggs were just a solid mass. 2 stars for the young man with good customer service alone. And it’s not even dog friendly!

It was almost empty, yet the tables were cluttered with dirty plates. The table we were shown to was covered in crumbs and salt. I wiped it and the wipe I used came off very dirty. The staff at the bar were friendly but not very sure about what they were doing. My husband enjoyed the carvery. The rest of us were left disappointed and the youngest had pasta with an inch of water in the bottom of her bowl and that put her off eating. We probably should have complained but there didn't seem to be anyone around and were not fond of confrontation. We wont be going back in a hurry unless it's for the carvery.

Absolutely horrendous food, especially vegetables. The carrot tasted as if it was boiled, mashed, and put back to resemble a carrot. Chips were soft as if boiled as well. It's weird because my partners chips were perfect. Peas were eatable, and the pie was okay, both only a bit dry. First time and last in this pub.

Got there just as the carvery was put out. It was lovely. I'm not a fan of heatlamps as I think it dries food out. Best getting there when everything is fresh. Staff very polite and attentive. Took some cakes home for later. They were amazing.

Me and my Boyfriend love Kings Mill Farm for both Carvery and food off the menu. My Boyfriend doesn’t usually really comment on food but we went for Christmas Day and had a Carvery last year we both enjoyed it so much we have booked again for this Christmas Day! All of the Staff are so Friendly and we appreciate that you work long hours and especially Christmas Day to make sure we have a nice Christmas, I think that’s just so lovely! All staff are still so Friendly x

Had the all day breakfast. The sausages were pretty bad, dry and barely warm - I'd assume that they were left over from the all you can eat buffet; we arrived 30 minutes after it ended. There were also large pieces of egg shell in the eggs. The rest of the meal was fine, the service was fast, the waitresses were helpful and friendly. We were in and out in 30 minutes. It cost 8.99, and you do get a lot for your money on the all day breakfast and other meals we've had there.

Happy that we managed to get a table without booking which was good BUT there's not enough staff serving so the ones who are are rushed off their feet! Queues for ordering food, drinks and carvery were massive!! At least a 15 min wait in each queue! Good selection of food on the carvery but didn't bother with the gluten free gravy as it was disgusting last time. More staff serving would make this place much more efficient. Prices weren't bad though.
