    This is the best experience i’ve had with a personal trainer. He’s very helpful and motivating. He’s not forceful at all but knows how to push you to your limits and reach your desired goal. I’ve improved a lot and his sessions have helped me in my day to day life. Any knee pain and shoulder pain i used have are completely gone thanks to his amazing workouts.

    I’ve been training with Paul for a couple of months now after being recommended by my physio. Due to my work as a plasterer, I’ve struggled for the past few years with back issues such as mobility and constant injuries. I’ve trained at other gyms and had other PT’s, but never seen an improvement in my health, strength, physique and as a result of those my confidence and mental health like I have since training with Paul. At 43 I’m in the best shape of my life! And I’ve never felt as strong and confident. I would highly recommend training with Paul. Also a great guy.

    We only started training with Paul around 4 weeks ago and are already reaping the rewards in body and mind. Paul tailors every session to make them different, energizing, fun and motivational. His knowledge is second to none and has a thorough understanding of how the body moves and functions, given his experience and his professional Rugby career background. Whatever goals you have he would no doubt be able to help you achieve them. He is always engaged throughout the entire session and encourages you to push yourself and do your best. We are generally fit and have always exercised, but became bored working out at home, don't like gyms and wanted a change but its always a big decision to go to a PT, from a time and money aspect. And we did look at other PT people/companies but Paul stood and when we met him it was clear he was the guys for us, he is friendly, professional and also has great sense of humour. We highly recommend him to anyone for all levels of fitness, as we feel that this is honestly the best thing we have done for ourselves in years.

    Been coming to Paul now since April. Having a knee injury (transverse patella fracture) and weight problems i knew joining a mainstream gym/open gym just didn't suit me and then i found Paul! Paul adapts exercises to my injury but also pushes me enough so i do more and more each week. Knows his stuff and really approachable and friendly. Gym is kitted out with everything you need, clean and has a shower and toilet facilities if needed.

    I started training with Paul about a year ago, my hip has always been a problem and I was struggling to walk. Not only do I have a pretty pain free walk now, I feel confident in tackling most things. As a woman of 40 I sometimes find training hard with a one to one, but Paul has such amazing way and he is so knowledgeable with injuries and goals, that you feel totally as ease. I would really recommend!

    Fantastic set up. The gym is lovely, with great equipment and facilities. Paul is one of the best trainers I’ve worked with. He tailors every session to my specific needs and fitness goals. I love training with him.

    I've just had my 4th PT session with the amazing trainer Paul Johnson . I cannot thank him enough for helping me with my rehab. I've had a very difficult time since 2015 as I got hit with the news I'd got a brain tumour. Since 2015, I've had 4 operations for the tumour- 2016,2018 & 2019 under the amazing Salford Royal Hospital & they've saved my sight. Given all this I then was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (M.E.),which gave me weak muscles,no energy & brain fog. I've also had numerous falls. I then saw on Instagram Paul had started his own training business & I messaged him to see if he could help me as I just wanted to get stronger as my body was totally weak & I'm so thankful I could be helped. I have a 1 hour session, once a week as my Chronic Fatigue physio advised 1 session a week. I chose Paul as he's a former superleague & GB player & I knew he'd have the right approach. He caters the sessions to the abilities of his clients. He has a great understanding of people that have had major health issues. Since starting the sessions, my mental state is better, my physicality has improved & I feel stronger already. He has a purpose built modern gym with a wide range of training equipment to suit all levels of physicality. He's very professional & offers competitive rates. If your looking to train or need rehab Paul is the definite trainer for you.

    I came to Paul four months after breaking my leg (tib and fib) I'd previously spent over two months working with a Physio elsewhere and really struggled to make progress. I was struggling both physically and mentally at the time I switched to Paul After spending two months working with Paul, the results I've had have been amazing. I'm back running, playing golf and football. All of which I wasn't able to do before. I'm physically stronger than I was before my injury. The wealth of knowledge and experience Paul has is amazing combined with a real personal relationship. The sessions seem very well planned with good progress tracking week by week. I would recomend Paul Johnson to anyone and can't thank him enough!

    I was first introduced to Paul through the lockdown at a point in my life when I was feeling extremely low, unfit, unhealthy and harbouring an ankle injury that would not go away! Throughout the period of time we worked together, Paul helped me with my confidence, my fitness and my sports injury tailoring my sessions focussing on my goals and aspirations. All of this was done with a smile and an obvious high level of knowledge which made it all the better! Thank you Paul for all of your help and support (but I do not thank you for the Sunday morning beastings)! 😂😩 If you are wanting to start a journey of self improvement, look no further than Paul!

    I am the classic low confidence, don’t know what I’m doing, train for a month then quit for 8 months kind of person .. until I found Paul. Firstly, the one to one studio itself is so unique. So clean, field at the back which often has deers running through, access to the shower which is perfect for me to then be able to go straight to work. As a working mum, the studio is my haven where I can solely focus on myself with no distractions. Paul mixes up the sessions and he encourages me to push myself which I honestly never thought was achievable. For the first time I have seen results. What Paul will fail to mention because of the humble guy he is, is that he has over 20 years experience as a professional rugby player and a masters degree in Strength and Conditioning. This knowledge clearly shines through during his sessions.

    Paul is a fantastic PT, his enthusiasm, knowledge and experience makes him one of the best in the business. I would highly recommend Paul to anyone, no matter what level of fitness, Paul will tailor a plan to suit your ability.     Highly recommend, Paul has taken time to understand my individual capabilities and goals to tailor sessions for ultimate results. His extensive knowledge and experience within strength and conditioning has helped to achieve goals, build on an understanding and achieve long lasting result, all in a modern, new and very equipped private gym!

    Before he started training with Paul, my teenage son had spent over 12 months struggling with his health and fitness, spending more time injured than playing. Thanks to the fitness programme Paul put in place, he's now back training and playing competitively. Most importantly, he's loving every minute of it and has remained injury free. We can't thank Paul enough for building his strength and confidence back up and if you ask my son, he'd tell you that the PT sessions are definitely his favourite part of the week.

    over the course of just under 1 year with PJ i have become 3 times as strong and twice as big. I always have a great session and conversation. He's a welcoming trainer, open to all, and couldn't be more recommended. The investment into the equipment is amazing and is THE best quality in the industry. you can tell he really cares about his gym and the people that train there. i often find myself smiling while training because the pump is that good. phenomenal!

    Paul is an inspiring trainer, pushing the boundary’s with a great sense of humour. His attention to form is critical and he makes each session interesting and challenging. I can see my progress over the months and I’m now far stronger for my two sports (running and cycling). I’d recommend anyone at any level of fitness to try Paul. You won’t regret it.

Paul is really upbeat, motivational and he's always banging out the best TUNES! It's like training with a mate every week and it never gets boring because he switches it up every session. He's also willing to implement in anything you might want to try, I've always wanted to do a bit of boxing and we've started on that, he was more than happy to give it a go and help me be more confident with it and I really enjoyed it. When I started, I was having problems with my knee and mentioned it to Paul, he helped me with exercises in the sessions and I'm pleased to say it doesn't cause me any problems anymore. His gym is fully kitted out with some really great equipment and I always look forward to training 1 on 1. It's a very chilled and private gym, which is perfectly suited to anyone with low confidence or anxiety etc... I've trained with a few Personal Trainer's in and around Bolton, but Paul is by far the best, which explains why he is fully booked most days. He has a long history in fitness and isn't just someone starting out. I'm really glad I found him and his gym is perfect for me. Also, I'm not just seeing a big difference physically, my confidence has been boosted massively and I generally feel much more energetic, happy and positive. Thanks so much Paul, can't wait to see the progress I make in another 6 months. See you Wednesday!

    Paul has been amazing. I have struggled with back pains 16 years and have been to see physios after physios, chiropractors, osteopaths. It only gave me temporary fixes. Working with Paul has really helped my mobility and strength. I can't recommend him enough

    PJ is by far the best personal trainer I have had! Its great how much he knows about muscle groups and for me injury rehabilitation! His sessions are always varied, dynamic and a shed load of fun. He knows when to push and when to pace it I've already started seen great results in a short space of time. I would lightly recommend him to anyone looking to get fit and in good shape!

    I have been training with Paul for 7 months and I’m really happy with the results - I’m much fitter and stronger than when I started. Paul is a excellent trainer, really encouraging and knowledgeable and his gym is great too. I look forward to our sessions each week and I’d recommended him as a trainer to anyone, whatever level you’re at.

    Paul is friendly, helpful and has tons of professional expertise. He has helped me as a desk worker to improve my strength and posture. Training is relaxed and pleasant in his light and clean gym space with good equipment. His style is encouraging and not pushy so I have gone from feeling reluctant to really enjoying fitness again. I thoroughly recommend Paul if you have any aches and stiffness from working with computers. He generously goes above and beyond to help you and really knows his stuff from his degrees, experience of professional rugby and coaching.
