This used to be Bolton Arndale Centre, a thriving shopping arcade in the centre of Bolton. Its now dead with many of the shops closed down and boarded up. Extremely depressing to see the heart of Bolton destroyed. Boots the chemist, Primary and a couple of other shops remain in business here but its only a matter of time.

Was once a good place to shop but now it has not got much to offer. I used to shop here a lot but now I mainly use it as a shortcut. Soon as you walk in your hit with the pungent aroma of subway and what seems like jewellers on every corner. If you are lucky enough to treat your self to a new watch every month it might be great for you but for the general shopper there really isn't much to choose from. If you need a few t shirts, couple of books from works or a meatball marinara that's ok but if your expecting a good afternoon of shopping there are many better places to go.

Good location and car park. Good shopping centre for clothes and something to eat but not much more. Hopefully something will take over the old space soon. The Primark is big enough with loads of cheap clothing. There's a Subway to eat. Centre has car parking and two lots of toilets.

The Crompton shopping mall is the location for Primark store Bolton. It is about 5 minutes walk to the Bolton central train station. They have many other stores selling dresses, watches ⌚️, household items, and perfumes, and they got some eateries where you can buy snacks to eat. This shopping 🛍 mall is neat, it has washrooms, but parking is the big issue. Their prices are very cheap and affordable, and the mall is medium size.

The centre itself is clean and very nice..just a shame there's not many units filled. Primark is obviously very busy, there's a lovely boutique in there called Fluffy Belles ran by a kind helpful lady who was brilliant with us... Subway and a fragrance shop were also there plus The Works - which was good value for money. All in all its not a bad centre just needs filling and the shop arl needs moving on (see review).

No face masks, stores closed, glowering shop staff and lack lustre atmosphere. Bolton is deteriorating into the depths of the 7 stages of Dante's hell. I went home and bathed in sanitiser and bleach.

This place is dead, infact bolton Town centre is dead. So many high streets shops have closed or moved to other towns. Councils they need to sort out council rates for the business lower them so people with business can afford and they stay and carry on with the business. Also they need to sort out the parking, charge less, so people can park there cars do shopping.

Bolton Library is probably the best bit of this tired, run down shopping centre. There is a Primark store still running inside, although it is moving soon. Queues in Primark are ridiculous, and the managers talking about staffing near unused checkouts is annoying.

Was a good place but has been let down by Bolton Council. Advise waiting until shopping centre rebuilt and sensible councillors are elected.

Absolute rubbish. Most of the retailers are closed. Primark survives by the skin of its teeth. Time to be bulldozed.

It is good if you like some shops, however it can be a trek to get from 1 shop to another as many units have closed down. This means there are many closed outlets but due to the regeneration of Crompton Place Shopping Centre many of the units have moved to The Market Place Shopping Centre for how long I do not know. I suppose it is better than trailing all across Bolton, of course they is hardly anything new to see.

Primark click and collect was easy. Store its self needs to be bigger and better like Manchester ,maybe they will be moving with the new plans for Bolton town centre , there needs to be something to get shoppers back into Bolton .

Went to the market today to get something to eat in well bred cafe and got our order wrong. The girl with the long blonde hair suffers from a bad attitude problem. The way she spoke to us was disgusting, won't be going there again.

The last time I went here was the pre pandemic. Changed so much not as good as it used to be, shops closed and empty shame really Bolton use to be a good shopping centre.

  • 1/5 Denise B. 2 years ago on Google
So sad to see the shopping arcade closing. The heart of Bolton is lost now and I don't think it will ever get back to the thriving town it once was.

  • 4/5 Trisha W. 1 year ago on Google
It was a shame to see so many shops had closed down. I suppose it is a sign of the times, it use to be the place to shop. The centre it's self was clean and staff were very helpful. The centre was quite busy.

If you have never been to this place .... YOU NEED TO GO ! ITS BRILLIANT. I went on my own to buy my partners engagement ring and very happily spent a couple of hours in there. Well worth a visit.

Decent skipping in the town centre. Needs investment. A lot of shops closing down. Good events through the year. Los to do in the library and aquarium

  • 2/5 Paul R. 1 year ago on Google
It's a shame that this place is now in terminal decline with number of shops shut now outnumbers the open shops. But for Primark it would probably be shut completely.

It houses card factory and basically primark, would only advice shopping here if you need a key cut, some easy subway or primark.

  • 2/5 Jordan B. 2 years ago on Google
Like most highstreets, over 70% of stores are shut. Nothing much to get excited about unless you want to escape the rain and use it as a cut through.

  • 1/5 alison w. 1 year ago on Google
All shops closed down. It's like a ghost town in bolton now. Only went today cos food and drink festival on. Council have put the rates up so much that it's driven loads of business out. You think they would keep.prices low and keep buildings open which are just sitting there derelict. So sad. They need to take a leaf out of burys council, there market and shops are thriving

  • 1/5 Mark T. 1 year ago on Google
It's just pitiful. Should be called World Of Shutters. And the shops that are not shuttered up should consider it and whoever owns it should have a word with the two foul mouthed "cleaners" who couldn't put a sentence together without swearing and making sure everyone heard them. Disgrace. What has Bolton become? Once a thriving shopping centre has now nothing to offer. Sad.

It's such a shame, & a sign of the times, with covid hitting businesses hard and now the cost of living crisis. There's hardly any shops open in crompton place shopping Center anymore, Bolton used to be a thriving town now it's just like a ghost town, sad really!

  • 4/5 David F. 1 year ago on Google
Clean shopping centre,And not a magnet for youths also the library/ advisories centre has taken over a unit well lit And a lot of seating area's.

  • 2/5 Darren W. 1 year ago on Google
Half the shops are closed down and the rest offer nothing, which is a shame for the food establishments. A dying place if ever I saw one.

  • 3/5 Terence N. 1 year ago on Google
I feel so sad about this place — so many empty units, even though there're some fancy ones open like Subway and Primark with a nice community library, which looks modern. Inside the shopping centre it's clean and there should be much potential for development and regeneration. What an epitome of towns like Bolton, like being forgotten by the country.

  • 4/5 craig n. 1 year ago on Google
Used to love this place as a kid, they had an aviary and statues and it was lively and looked clean....thanks bolton council for yet again not doing a good job! All they had to do was maintain it (and not be so greedy on their rates!)

  • 1/5 Gaz B. 1 year ago on Google
Could do with good clean up external areas especially entrances. However I do believe it's actually going to be demolished and rebuilt. With the possibility of an hotel? But I believe it's been on the plans for few years, so I guess time will tell. Not much going on in Bolton and definitely not much for clothes retailers, mainly for women and not much for that. Even marks and Spencer's store be gone by end of February 2023. Go to Bury an amazing market and other retailers on the high Street to choose from. Sorry but unless things change Bolton will become a gost town even though the Bolton council are allowing apartments to be built across the Bolton town and surrounding areas. Maybe by 2025? Bolton shopping mall and the town will be improved to be better shop experience. Hopefully the security and customer services colluges personal will have better customer service. But this is my personal statement of how I see the Bolton town. I hope it'll improve for the better otherwise it won't encourage other members of the public, old or new to the Bolton town.

It's not big compared with the usual Primark size but can be a quick option if there is non around. It's best to visit on weekdays as the weekend is crazy with a very long queue and clumsy store.

  • 2/5 Sharpy (. 11 months ago on Google
Very dead atmosphere, most shops have been closed down or moved out. Bolton library moved in, but still, not as great as it use to be.

  • 3/5 Gary J. 9 months ago on Google
Good Store but not a big store so not a lot of choice. As always, the men section is small compared to other sections. Normally a bit of a queue but you don't have to wait too long.

  • 5/5 Eleanor B. 8 months ago on Google
The store was organised well, with staff going around making sure clothes were all on hangers and in their places if they'd accidentally been knocked. Considering how quiet town was, Primark was really busy and the queue was lengthy. That said, additional tills were opened to ensure the queue was maintained.

  • 3/5 Mo H. 8 months ago on Google
Primark is just for a certain demographic now. I won't be shopping there any more, clothing is aimed as much younger people sadly. But the store is clean, tidy and well stocked.

It's ok but like many shopping centres, it's looking tired. Maybe new stores are needed. Covid isn't helping. They need to stop the Sky TV stand from setting up constantly; I get asked everytime I go past.

Light and airy with a good selection of shops including; Zara, Ernest Jones, Pandora, H & M, Boots, Claire's Accessories. Pity Debenham's has closed down. Also includes a few food shops, both take aways and sit down. Downstairs there are a few bars and a large Italian Restaurant, upstairs there's the Lite cinema.

Recently I was stuck at traffic lights outside Crompton Place, they were standard traffic lights with the full range of colours red, amber and green. The traffic lights functioned as expected and efficiently governed the flow of traffic. I did consider a 4 star review, but the vehicle in front of me was a metallic beige colour which was upsetting to me.
