Ordered 17/08/2023 via Uber eats. Food was great, the butter chicken looked quite light on chicken but it was all hidden in one side / part of the bowl. The mango Falooda was large size but is what you would class as medium drinks cup so tasty but not good value. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ordered my food today for myself and my colleagues in the office. Portion was like it was just a food tester. Very small portion and big price which is just a joke. Hot drinks and food were fully cold and was not even closer to taste anything . Extremely disappointed of it. If you just want feel the glance of nasty taste be my guest to order food from here. I Wont recommend it to anyone at all to be honest.

Was extremely disappointed with the food. The portion size was a joke. Like ridiculously overpriced for what you get. £3 something for about 10 chips. The wraps were smaller than the length of my hand. Emailed 3 days ago to complain but not had a response hence the review. Would not recommend.

Some items/ingredients were unavailable on the menu, mint chai was nowhere near mint it was overpowered with cardamom. Better to have full proper desi breakfast at home at your own comfort than @ Chaiwala Bolton pointless. Maybe the name could be Adhawala? Will try Rochdale!

Regular spot throughout the year for a reliable, consistent karak chai. Not messed around with the rest of the menu. As they say, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'. Their Nutella/Lotus paratha's are tasty, albeit overpriced for what they are.

Be consistent, yesterday's mogo chips were delicious, today's were under cooked and dry, hardly any sauce on it, very disappointed 👎

I visited the Bolton drive thru for a Karak Coffee which had run out but Sam the worker was excellent she displayed the best customer service and is and should be used as an example for others. She took time out and helped me decide what drink to have and was absolutely lovely - honestly I will be going again and recommending the place due to the way Sam was thank you 😊

Not the samosa chaat that I expected. Paid £5.10 Not worth it. 1 samosa small one in the small box with channa masala, there was no sev, or anything crispy in it. Two starts for taste and how warm it was.

Decent food in a clean place. Overall very good ambiance. The staff and also very friendly and they accept card payments which is a bonus. The portion sizes are small and so is a bit dear for what you get, but tastes very good. We ordered the desi breakfast with chana and paratha, chana were very nice with the paratha. We also ordered the masala chips, which were not for me, they seemed like they had been cooked in ketchup, but they did not taste bad, just not to my taste. The pav bhaji was very tasty, not too spicy or chilly, just right. We ordered a karak chai which was quite nice, but the pink chai was amazing Overall a decent breakfast.

The only thing I love is their chai. It’s very well known in town too. However, they are increasing prices which is disappointing. Need to up their taste in the rest of the menu

I used to go there regularly with friends but I try to avoid now as it's full of students and can get so noisy. They just buy 1 drink and then just hog the tables all afternoon. Some days it's just packed with men only. So not very family friendly. Food is not so good as it used to be. Standards have really slipped

The service provider's need to pull their socks up. Menu needs a little review. Sweets need to be better. Chai and nan khatai may be nice. Tea and something sweet is a regular in many households. Your savoury eats are good but hold back on the sweet sauce/chutney. Must do better

21st november evening member of staff very rude. Waved me off at 9.47pm and just said I have to close the shutters in 5minutes, shouting over the que. Was very strange and clearly no customer service skills People still inside queing. I just wanted a few bottles of water... pretty poor to be honest.

The best chai I’ve tasted so far! Nice little franchise. The kebab roll (chicken) are yummy, get it! The falooda is decent, but a little too much cream, I’d prefer more falooda to be honest lol. Polite and nice staff. Imili (tamarind) chips are nice, but make sure to eat whilst a hot as when they get cold, they became stale fast. The Bombay sandwich was delicious! Definitely recommend a visit! The Karak chai is amazing! Please check out my other Chaiiwala review for a more detailed #foodie review

The quality of ingredients from here are poor. The food is very greasy and after eating an aloo paratha I became ill with stomach crams all night. Chaiiwala is a chain of restaurants throughout the UK - seems more of a gimmick to me. The concept is good however I would recommend restaurants such as Dishoom with quality ingredients.

Thata not how karachi bunkabab is. Its not supposed to be lamb or masala omette or mango chutney.plz stop callimg it karachi bunkabab. Original bunkabab is made with shami kabab simple small omlette green chutney and tamarind chutney and onion and gabbage. You can get original bunkabab from wilmslow road lahori icebar and falooda or in bolton its salateen.

Went there for the first time and waited in the queue to be served but felt very uncomfortable due to 5 asain male customers looking at me in a somewhat way that I started to feel uncomfortable so decided to leave. I never got the opportunity to taste the menu and I probably won't in the near future.

It’s ok! Food is good! There is one wobbly table in the middle closet to the counter, last time I came was a year ago and they still haven’t sorted it out! Plus the misses ordered a hot chocolate, was given another persons order!

  • 5/5 Mubz a. 3 years ago on Google
Had an issue with my order but this was due to Uber and not them. Raised this with management at Chaiwala who sorted my order out promptly thereafter, they did not charge me for my order due to the issue. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend!!

One of the worst places I have dined at. Over priced, pre packaged food. Even then cooked badly.

A nice place to have a desi tea and a catch up. Reasonably priced but with limited options. Would have preferred if they did more barista style coffees but I understand that isn’t part of the concept. Good place.

Parking ticket!! I thought the car park behind chaiwala Bolton was free. I went there Saturday night 9.42 pm. and left chaiwala 11pm. I got a parking ticket for £60. Apparently if you park more than an hour you get a ticket. I have been many times before but I won't be visiting again because of this parking issue, parking is free even at town centre in the evenings! Chaiwala and the other businesses nearby should do something about this or they will lose business in the future. Warning for others.

Been here several times. Karak Tea is always spot on and beats many of the other branches easily. Respectful staff and the food is lovely too. Well done guys and keep it up!

Service is brill, the tea is is a family favourite. If any issues arises, the manager/owner is always happy to help, despite not being available, a direct email is all that is needed for him to resolve the issue. Highly recommend this place for a fast and friendly service.

40+ mins for 2 breakfast rolls! Ordered a chai latte, never asked if we wanted it now or later. No heating either. No 4g or 5g!! They have a drive through, god knows why!? Should of gone to Greggs

Came from leeds to sort my car out was recommended a garage in bolton. So drove up from leeds with my brother. Went to the garage they said it can take upto 5hours to have my car ready. But they had no waiting area as its a small garage. Not knowing bolton area. We just walked down the road and spotted chaii wala we walked in. All I wanna say is they were so understanding we explained to them we was from leeds and got nowhere to go as our car is in the garage could we wait in here. They said we can wait in there till my car is ready. Thank you guys. Really appreciate it. Food was lovely and fresh.. I swear can't thank you guys enough 🙏

I came in last night just before closing time, I was sat down enjoying my drink and I witnessed some confrontation between the staff members and some really rude customers and I have to say the staff handle it really well. The attitude that came off the customers was utterly disrespectful and absolutely appalling! The two women was trying their hardest for free drinks, resulting in the young worker being left in tears. Hats off to the staff for handling it so well and professional as possible and following rules and regulations, even though they were getting absolutely bombarded with abuse and stress. Good on the staff for standing their ground and not giving in to their demands, after the women were still refusing to listen to what the staff had to say. I highly recommend this branch especially for the service and of course the chai😊

It is an okay place to have tea and snacks. Few years ago it was having great choices but now limited choices with no great taste.

  • 4/5 Farook Q. 1 year ago on Google
The food & tea was delicious. The only downside was that the door stayed open most of the time; it was freezing! An automatic swing-shut would work wonders to make people feel at home.

  • 4/5 Usman M. 1 year ago on Google
Im a fan. Nice deco, ambient, beautiful. However the Pink tea has too much cream in it and is too sweet. Also too expensive at £2.50 for what is a very small portion size. Also the 45 mins you get before getting a fine for parking is a disgrace needs automatically extending without having to enter car details or custom will be lost, trust me. All in all though I like it and im a fan.

Let’s start by saying the karakh chai is very good, however the food is nothing to write home about I ordered the kebab roll, bland, no spices taste, over powered by mint sauce Service was ok. Atmosphere, dead, we were the only sit down customer Overpriced

  • 4/5 Abdulhaleem A. 5 months ago on Google
Ive had their whole menu , its really nice but its pricy , 2 pastries will cost you almost £6 . Portions can also be quite small . Im kinda torn due to these issues … i like it but for the portion and price , its hard to justify.

Was definitely the go to place for your chai fix. However the last few times I've felt the has tasted a bit thick and full of powder. Either its not cooked properly as a real karak or rushing on the busier days. The rest of the stuff is usual on point and as it says. Nothing extraordinary great for the price but decent and you know what you're getting. Just the tea hasn't been on point recently.

Honest review of the business as a whole. I have to be honest this business does not do masala beans the way masala beans is suppose to taste. The portions are small and priced unreasonably. However, the chai is great and customer service is fair. I have had good and bad experience as I'm always trying different branches.

Nice place to take the parents. Simple food, cheap and nice atmosphere. Got to remember to order a decent amount of food as it may seem like you’ve ordered a lot of food but some portion sizes aren’t massive but for the price they charge it’s fine.

Food was not to my taste. This is the second time I've been and again been severely disappointed. Their rolls are dry, the butter chicken roll was the overly dry, but was described as "succulent chicken". The kebab roll had a weird after taste, and the chicken sandwich was also dry. I would not go again for any of the food.

Waiting times are still ridiculous again, Uber Eats and Just Eat seem to have priority. Told 10mins for 2 x Omelette Buns and 1 x Chai, took 20mins. Also massive difference in quality of food compared to Preston branch. Food is much better and generous portions compared to Bolton

  • 3/5 Kamran M. 3 years ago on Google
The karak chai was very nice. The bun omlette was decent but the main attraction for me was masala chips which I heard raves about, however the masala chips were somewhat dry, didnt have much flavour and wasnt typically saucy like the masala chips I've tried in other places which was disappointing. Overall not a bad place to go.
