Beautiful lake to scroll around alone or with the kids!! After a rainy day you will have mud so be careful, but it is pram friendly

Picturesque nature reserve off Chorley Old Road. Take a bag of bird food and feed the Swans, Geese and waterfowl. Parking for about 25 vehicles.

What a beautiful place. We had a fantastic walk around the lake. More could be made of it like putting picnic areas in or using the water for different activities. But a beautiful place.

It's a lovely nature reserve, not too busy on a hot, sunny, Sunday. There were a number of people wandering round of varying ages from young to old. A family enjoyed a BBQ, everyone I saw seemed respectful of the place, sadly there are a number of areas with litter, including the lake. It's a real shame to see considering there are several bins around. There are plenty of benches and grassy areas for the kids. It's lovely being able to get so close to the wildlife.

1.2km flat step free loop around the lodge. Loads of birds and wildlife. Free parking.

Lovely spot to walk around the lake and look at the trees and the water fowl. The only disappointing aspect is that some ignorant dog owners won't pick up what they're supposed to. Definitely worth a visit.

Not been here since I was a child, was lovely to take my own children and everything was lush and green, this is a good walk when you are walking round the entire lodge. Was great seeing the birds, ducks and geese.

The route around the reservoir was a lovely flat, partly paved path, however if you follow the longer trails away from the reservoir it's extremely muddy!! So beware.

Lovely little lake that you can walk around. Quiet area, very popular with dog walkers as you'd expect. Birds from the water approach if you stand near on the bank - probably anticipating food. All in all a nice scenic route.

We go here a lot to feed the ducks, swans and geese. The kids love walking around it afterwards and take about an hour or so. If like to see it cleaned up a bit and some of the bushes cut back. I don't know if you can fish on it but it's love to one day.

Great for a couple of laps to get you some fresh air, and your steps in. Grandkids love it too.
