We really wanted to try Birria Tacos yesterday and this place seemed the option although nearly a half an hour drive away! It was 100000% worth it so much so that we went back again for more today! The portion sizes are great with the option to increase the portion if you're hungrier! The food was amazing, fresh and clearly cooked with a lot of passion! Staff are lovely and friendly and we will deffo be back again for our third visit!

Amazing beef birria, I've come back twice in the space of a week! The perfect balance of cheese and slow cooked beef in the perfectly crisp corn tortilla and pair that with the beautiful consome, wow. Also got the chipotle wings and chipotle chops. Lovely sauce, but would just pick one rather than both. Mexican cola was also very nice, different to your usual coke, but again very nice to try. The staff were also very welcoming and friendly.

Extremely poor customer service. The restaurant has dine in and counter service but was rudely told to order online next time as they normally don't take walk-in orders. first time visit and last never again.didnt seem grateful for my custom.food overpriced and sub standard. Even found a bone in my burrito (pic 3) which put me off my food.

So here's a hidden gem that's been hiding in plain sight. From the outside it looks like any other takeaway in Bolton town centre, however had a hankering for Mexican cuisine so decided to try it and walked over not sure what to expect. Inside the staff weren't very talkative but informed us there were no physical menus, we sit at a table (there's about 4) scan the qr code and can order on there. The girl did tell us any questions just ask. It took an age and the Web page was painfully slow, but eventually we'd ordered birria and a quesedilla dish. Also a couple of authentic Mexican sodas, pineapple and a nicely balanced lime. When the plates arrived they looked a little small and I thought I'd still be hungry afterwards. I was wrong. I couldn't finish it, heavenly though it was. Wonderfully fresh and flavourful, the cream, the salsa, the guac - fantastic. The birria my wife had was outstanding. Couple of drinks two plates and a sharer of tortilla chips and salsa came in at just under £30. It sounds steep, the surroundings a little non descript and lifeless, but the food, the food!!! Food alone would be 5 stars, let down only by the functional and slightly stark atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

I came with a friend, we’d been craving Don Taco’s for what felt like weeks. The Bolton branch may appear small but the staff are super friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing, would recommend the pulled beef quesadillas. Will definitely be coming back again!! :D

Always eat from here and it's amazing. However today it was just awful. Ordered 4 birirria tacos 4 quesadillas chops and wings. Recieved 1 less taco and 1 less quesadilla, they had no wings left which we requested extra chops instead. The birirria tacos tasted off lacked flavour and the sauce was like water, absolutely no flavour to the sauce they just filled it water. Quesadillas were mediocre again the sauce was like water. Never minded the price, but when we recieved one less of the items and the quality of the food was that bad this place actually seems more like a rip off now. Was better with the older chefs. Honestly very disappointed in this place as it used to be my go to place for Mexican food.

the ladies at don tacos bolton are lovely, great customer service. the food itself was fresh, i got the 4 birria tacos, good portion for the price in my opinion! very quick service as well didn’t need to wait long. will be returning :)

Excellent vegan and vegetarian options, really tasty. Ingredients tasted fresh and a good healthy option. Best burritos I've had so far. A little spicy despite asking for no chillies so I'd recommend asking for mild if you don't like too much spice. Delivery could have been quicker, we waited 1hr 15 mins and driver couldn't find our address.

Excellent Mexican food quality and service

I had the smoked chicken Don tacos special, My girlfriend had the crunchy corn tacos, Both were superb, very fresh and tasty, very filling, Not the first time I've eaten here, Can't fault the food, price, or service.

Great quality food with great consistency, been multiple times with food just as good each time. Everything is fresh and of highest quality, definitely worth the money.

Had the biria tacos and the mandarin jarrito - both were delicious. The staff were really helpful and helped me decide what drink to get.

One of the best Mexicans I have ever had . I had to wait longer than I anticipated but it was well worth the wait. You can taste the quality of each and every ingredients and altogether you can't fault anything about the food. 5 star food experience in my humble opinion. Keep up the good work

Massively overrated

Such a lovely place! A lady served us and she was very hospitable and welcoming, the decor inside is very colourful and warming. And the food! The food was well cooked and tasted very authentic but did not take long at all. Me and my friends really enjoyed ourselves and will be back 😁. There was also a wide variety of options and many vegetarian options.

Food is excellent and priced fairly. The decorations are lovely and welcoming but it’s very quiet inside so it would be nice if there was some Mexican / Hispanic music playing to set the mood :)

The food is great, but it's on the pricey side I feel. I've given it a one because they force you to scan the menu even though it would be much easier to supply a menu. When you order online the price's are almost always wrong, and they blame it to do with ordering off deliveroo or something. They don't take an order over the phone which would be so much better. A very frustrating experience every time and thus I won't be returning

What's to say, I just loved it, the tacos they make there are DIVINE, I went only yesterday and I can still remember the spice being just right and the flavours all melding together yet all being so unique, if you have never tried a taco before (which if so, how on earth?!) you definitely should have these guys make your first! (If I could give ten stars I would)

The food was amazing. I didn't like having to order on the app though when we were right there and we could have done with some background music. We ate in, there's only 4 tables though so I guess most take out. I'll be back though.

Had Birria Tacos for the first time and were so tasty! The sauce I ordered was hot - be careful! They even do an extra hot and I couldn’t picture how that would be! Fantastic service, 10/10 food and we’ll be going again!

Visited the Bolton branch of Don Tacos.. SO IMPRESSED! Delicious birria tacos, so flavourful, the right amount of crispy, soft pulled beef... Highly recommend. Spicy wings were also very nice 👍 well worth a visit, it is a small place but has few seating tables

Absolutely amazing. Their food is worth the money, even if it seems slightly pricey. You don’t get food like this in Blackburn, had to travel to Bolton for this and was worth the ride too. Tastes amazing, but more importantly, tastes authentic, like they really care about doing it right. I was pleasantly surprised. That Birria thing as well, I hope they never get rid of it. The Churros are great, all the meats for the different burritos are great, great homemade quac (at least it looks homemade lol). Perfect combo of flavours, not too much or too little of anything. The only change they need to make is to expand.

The burrito I had from here was really really nice But the nachos were very bad (threw them away) I ordered for delivery.

Absolutely spot on. My mate and I have been saying for ages that we would try this and it did NOT disappoint. Worth every penny

This is the second time we have visited this place and we haven't been disappointed. The place is clean and well decorated. We really like the idea of chessboard on a table, which keeps you occupied while they make your order. The food was delicious, well presented and very filling . We will certainly visit again! :)

We have used don tacos a few times now but for the last time unfortunately. The food is really nice when you get it. And that is the issue, when !! Each time we have booked a delivery they confirm that your food will be with you within 1 hour. On each occasion it has taken over 2 and a half hours. If you manage to get through to speak to someone they are apologetic and promise your delivery is on its way and will be with you in 10 minutes. Pure lies. Don't bother trying to call again as they refuse to answer your call. I hate being lied to. If its going to be 2.5 hours then say so, don't tell me 1 hour followed by more false promises. What a shame customer service is so poor as the food is so good.

The best burrtio I've tried in a long time. Me and my partner drove half an hour to get it because we don't have a burrtio place in rochdale but it was worth the drive. Guy who served us was friendly and nice.

AMAZING! I actually went to collect since I wanted to see how they're running and its safe to say I know I'm going to get a good mexican meal that's authentic and really really really good... Thank you so much to the team at Bolton too for the amount of care and hospitality you gave me when I came too! Outstanding, would honestly highly suggest this to anyone.

Expensive and we had mild food poisoning the next day. Some of the food wasn't as described either (pulled beef was actually just mince meat, tacos were in a wrap rather than in a crispy shell), not ok for the price

very authentic tacos and even though it was delivered the taco was still crispy so would have been amazing if eaten at the restaurant. the jalapeño could have been spicier. will try again

Had the chicken tinga (hot) and it was delicious, portion size is decent and tastes like all the individual ingredients and fresh and high quality.

First time eating Mexican cuisine it didn’t disappoint. We ordered a burrito and wings and wow them wings were so fresh and soft and juicy marinated perfectly and the chilli sauce it comes with was just right, the burrito was bang on so yummy. Then gave us free dessert they tasted just like doughnuts you would get from seaside with the chocolate sauce amazing! The guy was very friendly kind can’t fault service. Food spot on service spot on get yourself down here and try there food you won’t be disappointed!!

Really like the food hear, fresh ingredients, avocado very good in guacamole, and in my breuito. A little bit expensive but portions are ok. Tasty.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The food at this place is good but the delivery service is awful. I ordered online and was told 90min, after 1hr 45 rang to chase & told on its way in a aggressive manner. Rang again afer 2 1/4 hrs to be told chef hadn't prepared the order and the kitchen is now closed. I was offered the food tomorrow as an apology but that isn't much use. Shame like I said the food is good but I won't be ordering from here again.

staff there are really nice and helpful they make the food quick too food is really tasty they have a good variety of vegan and veggie options my only complaint is that the prices are extremely high compared to other Mexican places if they reduced prices significantly i would definitely go most likely everyday as i am a student and can’t afford to go out everyday. highly recommend if prices weren’t so high.

The food was beautiful and hit the spot. Very filling and the food was very flavoursome and fresh. I would definitely come again:)
