Great place to go for a celebratory meal with drinks. Pretty interior with blossom trees and a conservatory area. Food and service were spot on. Portion sizes are generous but worth leaving room for dessert! Vegetarian options are adventurous and tasty. Menu is updated frequently - will definitely return!

What an experience! This restaurant was incredible. From the moment we walked in, we were politely greeted and shown to our table. Drinks were ordered and came promptly! I ordered the Beef burger, which was absolutely delicious. I followed that with the millionaire chocolate caramel bomb which was so sweet and tasty! Very happy with the service, the food and the atmosphere!

Absolutely sensational. Every course was out of this world. Great service, lovely decor and the food was cooked to absolute perfection. This is the wife's favourite restaurant and having been before and enjoyed it, I genuinely wasn't blown away by the menu beforehand. I had the black pudding scotch egg which was perfectly soft and had a runny yolk. Great flavour and perfectly accompanied by the mustard mayonnaise. Proper thick creamy home made mayo too! I had the gammon chop, done to perfection, nice crispy edges but still succulent and juicy. The hand cut chips were golden and crispy on the outside with fluffy insides like little potato clouds 😄 the peppercorn sauce was rich and tasty but without overpowering the gammon. The poached egg on top was soft with a deliciously rich and creamy yolk. Lastly I had the Milk Chocolate Melting Bomb which was seriously on another level. I LOVE chocolate but often find chocolate desserts too rich and sickly, but this was exactly the right balance of delicious creamy melty chocolate with crunchy bits of orange in and a smooth toffee/caramel mousse which just added another dimension to the depth of flavour. It was honestly out of this world and the best dessert I've had in a very very long time. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed if you come here ❤️

Visited The Cherry Tree last night for mine and my boyfriends anniversary. We booked using their online service and I must have marked down that our visit was for an anniversary but I’d forgotten. We were greeted and congratulated for our anniversary, taken to our table and received free Prosecco and a card. The service was fast and the food was so delicious. We also received a complimentary dessert which was lovely. We had the most amazing time and I can’t thank the staff enough for making our visit so special, couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Definitely worth 5 star's 🌟 The food was delicious, the waitress (Shona I think) was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was great. I love the decor and it was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday evening. We chose from the Market Menu which is 2 courses for £26.95 or 3 for £30.95. There was one vegetarian starter; halloumi Ceaser Salad snd one main; sweet potato and yellow lentil dahl with cauliflower bhajis all of which were delicious. I'll definitely be visiting again, 100% recommend.

Food was great. Service top notch. Cocktails are 10/10 every time. Bar service was slower than usual and only seemed to be on bar man on. Back again soon

Beautiful food! Lovely service! Everyone at the table agreed the food was superb! Personally absolutely loved the Cherry Blossom cocktail! We didn’t have reservation but they were very accommodating and professional! I would recommend booking though, of course!

I always have a grand time at the Cherry Tree. Their welcome is always friendly and efficient; their service always prompt and professional and the food is always creative, flavoursome and good value. I reccomend making a reservation on line to avoid disappointment; as it's always busy and the process is easy to do! For their afternoon tea: comparable prices with great selection, accompanied by beautiful surroundings. Fab time, enjoying a much needed catch up.

This restaurant is absolutely spot on. Staff where very polite, very professional. The atmosphere was good. The food arrived in very good time. The starters and main we got was delicious, food was cooked to perfection, everything is very very clean, from cutlery to plates to tables. Could not fault anything, Will definitely be going again. We booked a table for 8 here, for a family event. The staff were great, very attentive and had some treats for the people in our group who were celebrating their birthdays. The food was great, and very reasonably priced for the quality you get. Can't knock them for anything, the service was fantastic - would definitely return and recommend.

I’ve been to a few restaurants and this one ain’t special because it commands higher prices or deposits on reservations . The views are great and as one would expect From a country restaurant. But for 150£ get 4 tsp of lobster, two small pieces of beef fillet, a distant taste of pepper in the sauce, a liver pâté that won’t be remembered, a cheese cake, two beers, two sparkling wine. Sorry all nothing too special to warrant value charged.

The food has always been great here, and it's a very unique and nice atmosphere. However, our recent visit was tainted by poor staff etiquette and shocking attitudes. We were a table of 6, ordering a lot of food and drinks throughout the meal. The restaurant was somewhat busy, but with plenty of staff, our waitress only had a few tables to wait on. My grandmother asked for some more drinks, the waitress took her order and started walking off. My Father said "excuse me" to get her attention to get some more drinks ordered, to which she looked at him, rolled her eyes, and scoffed. This angered my dad, and he talked loudly across the table to us about how they'd not be getting any tips with this service (bearing in mind the bill was over £300). When it came to paying the bill a different waitress came with the card machine, muttered something under her breath and giggled. She'd already clicked 'No gratuity' on the card reader, so it was obvious she found some humour in clicking no tip ahead of my Father. This just exemplified the shocking attitude from the staff, as it was clear that it wasn't isolated to an individual, and that they are childish.

Friendly, quick service, and tasty food. We were a large group and pre-ordered, which meant food came quickly. Had the festive menu, which was very nice. It is quite pricey but is high-quality food. Portions could be slightly larger. Would come here again but save for a special occasion.

So I’ve never been before, heard lots of good reviews about the place, so we went on my Daughters Birthday…. Impressive place, beautiful display of Cherry trees etc, decorated to high standard…. Worth a visit, just to sit on the infamous swinging seat, outside. 💞 Cannot fault the staff, polite and friendly. 😊 Prices were high, but the quality is second to none… However, we went on a Sunday, so a couple of us in the family had Sunday Roast, I had lamb and it was done to perfection, the only gripe I had, it all looked over cooked and the Yorkshire puddings were burnt and brittle…. 😏 The price didn’t do it justice. I ate it all the same, as I was hungry… it was 7pm, after all…. Will I go again? Maybe, but not for a while…

I'm just here to say I've always loved the cocktails here but... wow! You really upped the game on the Cherry Blossom martini! I didn't get chance to take a photo of the way it arrived because I wasn't expecting the surprise! Loved it! (Great food, service, atmosphere also as always)

We were coming down from Scotland to meet my parents for dinner to celebrate my mom's birthday. They live 2 hours south and it was 3 hours for us so we thought Chorley was a good middle ground. I spent at least 6 hours researching on trip advisor and Google reviews and must have looked at menus of at least 100 restaurants locally. I am very fussy and wanted it to be perfect. I wanted the interior to be visually impressive, but also wanted a delicious sounding menu and sometimes finding the two together seems an impossible task at times! Eventually I came across the Cherry Tree, at first I loved it due to the interior pics I see - my mom loves flowers and I am obsessed with cherry blossoms so thought it had the wow factor visually and then when I saw the menu I was sold! My mom enjoys tropical flavours being from South Africa and I knew the passion fruit cocktail would appeal! as would the coconut and mango cheesecake for dessert. We are both foodies and I am a baker by profession so the dessert menu is always where I head first and often they are lacking and are the same old boring offerings so we loved the inventive desserts. We were all 6 of us blown away by the incredible food, stylish surroundings and most of all the faultless service. It's not often you have a meal out with nothing you can fault but we did - they even had a birthday card waiting for my mom at the table which was the loveliest touch. Ethan was our waiter and was attentive and great the whole evening. They brought a special birthday dessert to our table (a different waitress brought this) and then as we left she especially said to my mom 'happy birthday again'! which my mom was so touched about. We stayed overnight at the LDS temple which is just 15 mins away so although we live in Scotland we will be recommending the Cherry Tree to our LDS friends who come to visit from UK wide as somewhere they should definitely pay a visit too. A truly memorable night and I was so pleased we found you!

From start to finish the experience was incredible, the whole restaurant looks and smells incredible, service is friendly and super quick, between two of us we shared a starter and main each and we had finished our meal 45 minutes after getting in and sitting down which was super impressive with how busy the restaurant was! The food was delicious absolutely delicious and is well presented when served to you. Will definitely return!!

Took my friend for her birthday, lovely place and we really enjoyed our food. She got a birthday card and a dessert which is a nice touch.

My food was excellent as usual. My sister had her steak cooked wrong twice, but the manager was so excellent in dealing with it that my sister didn't leave too disappointed. Service was superb, and there's always a nice atmosphere in there.

Go here, just go here, it is amazing. We spent a little under £100 for a 3 course meal for 2 so it isn't cheap but the flavour is incredible. The decor is stunning. Very good service and friendly waiting on staff. I will visit again.

I never knew about this place until my cousin took me. Wow! It's so beautiful inside, the decor is lovely. I've been 3 times now and each time I couldn't fault it. The service is fantastic! The staff are so friendly, attentive and always smiling. The food has been excellent each time and the menu changes (I suspect seasonally). I was gutted because we got a free bottle of prosecco for the next visit due to spending over a certain amount but my partner threw it away! Haha. Also, took my mum for her birthday and the staff prepared her a birthday card which I thought was a lovely touch ♡

Really lucky to be taken care of by Stephen today, couldn't do enough for us and we had a wonderful lunch because of it. Well that, the very cool setting and amazing food. Will defo be returning
