Very bad!! I had to call 20 times today just to speak to the receptionist also when I called it kept ringing then someone picked it up and ended the call they did that multiple times. When they picked up they told me that they don't have any appointment in the next seven days even though I told them that it would be an emergency appointment. Very disappointed. The receptionist are very rude.

The Practice Nurse at the surgery is wonderful: empathic, attentive, supportive and invariably professional and constructive, she explains and agrees treatment in a way that makes me feel I understand the nature of my problem and how it is best addressed. I always feel that issues are treated seriously in a considered and professional manner which takes account of all aspects of my life. I always leave reassured, confident I am receiving the best and most appropriate treatment.

After receiving some poor service I got a call from the surgery and Gemma was great. She sorted everything out and made me feel like I me and my daughter matter. It’s not easy to have a child with constant flare up of eczema so it’s hard to always keep track of medication and what she needs. Sometimes the dr surgery make mistakes but they have really out done themselves and made me happy again.

I have been with Shanti Medical for many years and they have not improved! Their receptionists need to be sacked. I don't understand who they think they are but they are very arrogant. They think they know better than the person calling in. No one calls in because they fancy a trip to the surgery. They have genuine reasons. They do not listen to what you have to say and interrupt you. When you call it out they become rude and defensive. I do not recommend Shanti Medical Centre and will be leaving soon. The doctors are fine it is just the rude receptionists and their booking systems.

I hate needles but luckily I was seen to by Marianne and can’t thank her enough for calming me down as well as the time and great advice she gave me. Friendly and efficient service.

Booking an appointment has become a joke, the receptionists need to learn to support people rather than pushing self serve down everyones throat. Looking for a new surgery as this has gone from bad to worse.

Receptionist have zero manners. Made me stand and wait in front of the desk and watch her have a gossip (made eye contact many times so she knew I was waiting), when she did eventually speak to me she was extremely rude and sipping her tea. While waiting I heared her laugh at a patient who another receptionist was dealing with over the phone saying 'its common sense to go to the hospital for that'. Disgusting service

In all the times I have called Shanti Medical Centre's reception the calls become very stressful and confusing as if they don't fully understand my query and the way they speak seems rude and unhelpful. But today I have spoken to Precious who is covering at the moment, and she has been extremely helpful, she has explained to me clearly why there has been a delay in my repeat prescription not being signed and sent over to my chemist as there has been a limited number of doctors available who can do this, and she was very honest with me which I really appreciated. She will be putting my name on the list to ensure my prescription gets signed off. I left the call with a smile, and I hope she is able to share her friendly and honest service with the other permanent receptionists.

Marion was a star. She made my daughter feel at ease for her bloods. She was professional and attentive. A great asset to shanti medical centre. All the staff are friendly and accommodating to your needs.

Had my diabetic review today with Marion and can't praise her enough! Very much appreciated after a couple of bad experiences at the surgery. Marion is a credit to the practice.

14/09/22 4.20pm appointment. Brilliant service at reception. My son Seen by paramedic/nurse. No fuss. Didn’t make undue excuses not to prescribe. Thorough and professional. Made the necessary diagnosis to get him back on his feet 👍🏽 I was also seen by Dr L Odoleye, 07/11/22 an absolute brilliant GP. Need more like her at Shanti. Listened, understood and diagnosed accordingly. No excuses not to give prescription and deals with matter in hand. Brilliant

The best thing about shanti medical centre is Sarah the nurse practitioner. She’s so professional and absolutely brilliant with children. She deserves 5 stars. She is the only member of staff who knows exactly what she’s doing and is brilliant at her job However, the other members of staff could do with ALOT more training considering the receptionist on my last visit hadn’t even booked me in, I’d been waiting over 30 minutes and I had to ask her again whether she had done it properly as people were being seen to and leaving before me. The practice really needs to invest in better quality staff and training. They are the reason of the one star! I just rang up for my 3 month old baby who has a high temperature only to be told he can get a phone call appointment ?!?! Ridiculous service. The surgery would be better off shut down. .

Five stars for the Practice Nurse, Sarah. She is amazing at her job! She’s very efficient, easy to communicate with and always makes me feel comfortable. The surgery on the other hand need to improve their phone service. It’s a nightmare trying to get through to them!

Went in for a smear and needed a pill check. Was booked in for doctor tomorrow, however nurse during smear took initiative to check BP as I was on pill etc. Service was excellent and very thorough. Managed to get my repeat pill prescription sorted straightaway without having to visit the doctor again. Saved me a trip! Thank you

Nurse Marion was amazing as always. I saw her previously for my bloods 4 weeks ago too. Knowing I get anxious with my bloods being taken she makes me feel at ease and before I know it the jobs done! She is a credit to the surgery!

Marion is a lovely lady who efficiently and competently conducted a venepucture. She had a lovely bedside manner whereby she seamlessly completed the bloods. I am appreciative of her care; thank you again Marion!

Shanti Medical Centre staff are all amazing!! Everyone listens to your problems, do not discriminate, ensure you are doing well mentally and emotionally, go through options for the best outcome of appointment, meet individual needs of every patient. They are so understanding and have appointments available on the day you call/book or can book in advance for the days you are off work.

Called yesterday morning Friday (am) for my partner who required urgent attention. I was given a phone appointment (ok fair enough) and the doctor was great and advised he MUST see my partner the same day and he would sort with reception. We got a call to be told Monday?!! This frankly is quite appalling. My doctors (a fab one in Bolton) will NEVER turn down an ‘urgently’ required appointment. Why don’t you have designated slots for priorities/emergencies?! I rang your doctors again and kept being told to call 111 or wait until 6:30pm to call out of hours docs elsewhere. We did in fact call 111 due to the severity of the chest infection and were eventually (2am Saturday morning) provided the medication and help we asked for the previous day. My partner will be leaving your surgery immediately. We have a baby on the way and I would live in fear should we ever rely on this surgery for our little one

I filled in an online appointment form and as arranged did a telephone consultation. The process was effective and time efficient. Because I work shifts it’s now my preferred form of Gp appointments on the proviso that I can have a face to face clinic appointment when I feel it’s needed.

Poor service been trying to get hold of my G.P for months and I an Conidering speaking with a solicitor to see if you have been negligent. Told me I can't make an appointment over the counter told them I have no working phone. I've had major problems here and I am considering sueing the people responsible. Negligence with people with mental illness is not a good image for your medical center. If they fail to meet standards I will bring a legal action vs you. Fix your problems before they get worse.

Total waste of time. 3 times I have been given an appointment to see the nurse for an Asthma review, only to have 1st appointment mistakenly passed on to the health practitioner who isn’t qualified to do this sort of review, 2nd appointment was with a more qualified health practitioner. She could do my Asthma review, but I needed some meds changed, and she wasn’t qualified to do that, so 3rd appointment was quite urgent to see the fully qualified nurse to change my prescription, but this was taken over by a phone call from the 2nd health practitioner telling me my correct dosage for my meds, which we’d already discussed at my 2nd appointment! This is why I just suffer in silence, complete waste of time.

Initially I had some support for my mother and I, despite me being 350 miles away. I felt this surgery tried to support my Mum & my family through a difficult period which is still ongoing. Sarah the practice manager of the surgery had initially gone above & beyond and kept me updated and provided help and advice. I was going to recommend them highly for sympathetic services and for really listening to my mothers’ needs. However, in the last two weeks, the surgery has been presented with an unsubstantiated document of dubious origins and decided to ignore my frequent and many requests for a copy of this to establish and ascertain its authenticity. My many phone calls have been ignored. I cannot email them as they have no email - how can this be in this day & age, surely everyone has an email facility and if not, why not? I feel extremely let down and ignored.

The doctor checked his temperature and held a thorough examination. my son is five and she made sure he was comfortable- this is the first time I've seen someone so through at this gp practice. Thank you very much to that doctor!!

Been with Shanti for as long as i can remember. This is the first review i have written. Stay away from Shanti, these guys will surely ruin your health rather than help. Appointments are hard to get, i waited 10 days and when the gp decided to ring me it was from a private number. Missed the calls because i wasnt advised itd be a private number. Website is down nearly every other day. Receptionists are so poor, not helpful at all. The way they talk to people, OMG worst ever. I have asked for there complaints procedure, which they are not sending me, so my complaint is going to Nhs England. Gone down hill, and getting worse. STAY AWAY.

Quite literally the worst doctors surgery EVER. Do NOT bother registering here. They take ages to answer the phone. Will point blank refuse to give you an appointment even you sound like you're dying. Receptionists are rude and don't know what they're doing. This place has gone seriously downhill for the past few years. Used to be amazing but past 5 years have shown it go from bad to worse. If I could give less stars I would.

Have nothing but praises for this nurse at shanti medical centre and the service I received from reception . Met with a warm smile on arrival by all receptionist polite and efficient. 5* service for me . The nurse who took my bloods (Marion)was a very caring careful and very very polite, Warm , welcoming and put me at ease straight away . Hate taking bloods as I am quite slim . This was the best experience I’ve had taking bloods. A very beautiful ,caring , kind hearted nurse. 10 out of 10 for me . Can not fault any part of this lady’s service . Would have no problems taking bloods again From this nurse . I didn’t feel anything at all . Hope this nurse stays at shanti And the service stays this way . Thanks you Marion and all reception staff for making my recent visits a pleasant experience

My experience with the Nurse has always been a pleasant one. She is always ready and waiting to assist. She spent time to listen to your expressions. The atmosphere with her is always calming and inviting. Continue to shine and be a upliftment for many.
