I went for a casual swim only to get there and find it was lane swimming And children having lessons only a couple of lanes available. pool was so shallow at one end that I actually banged my knee on the bottom of it,,couldn't access steps due to the lanes, didn't like that spectators are walking through changing rooms in their outdoor shoes

Disgraceful do not bother joining, this place is a joke! If you have any membership issues your email will take 14 days to be replied to, if at all. What sort of functioning company takes that long to reply to an email? I stopped swimming because the pool originally offered adult only lane swimming, this changed and it was full of families therefore not what I signed up for. I asked to cancel my membership back in February and it has taken this long to now of been sent a debt company fine adding an admin fee on to the remaining balance they say I owe. My husband suffered a stroke whist I was waiting for a reply to my emails and I explained my circumstances had changed and I wasn't in a position to pay the cancellation fee, the response to this was absolutely nothing, no compassion, not even an acknowledgement, its disgusting.

Absolute joke if you work, finish early afternoon and want to use the gym, packed with school kids - no limit or restrictions on how many are let in, they hog every piece of equipment and machine and you definitely cannot use the small changing rooms for a shower or a locker st these times either. Staff unwilling to help to resolve it, total waste of my time and money so congratulations on losing a customer - may as well stop adults using it in the afternoons to stop ripping people off - at least they'd know what the timetable would be then to access the gym when it's less busy.

Swiiming lessons are main reason we come here and they're just getting worse and worse. Too many children in a class resulting in a poor lesson for them. 10 children to a level 2 class is far too many in my opinion. Cannot fault the teacher as she is trying to do her best. Will leave it a few more weeks to see if the situation improves, but currently far too busy!.

Not enough parking in the car park a lot of the time, then restrictions in the local area so end up having to park far away. The changing rooms are really poor, lots of broken locks and quite dirty. The pools are fine though. Decent sports hall that can be booked for kids parties.

I was charged multiple times in cash for one month at the gym, by Chris especially, with no record. But I heard someone else say "let's see how many times we can get him to pay for the same thing". He also told me he won thousands of pounds on Leicester to win the Premier League the lying git.

First time taking my 1 year old swimming last Friday, it was ok however I started off with ear ache at night time and I’m now in excruciating pain with an ear infection in both ears probably due to the water in the baby pool. I’ve been swimming several times before in different places and never once suffered with this, says a lot about the cleanliness of the pool area. I’m so glad it isn’t my son in this pain. Won’t be returning 😞

Swimming if you are looking for a swimming pool with easy access think again. Changing rooms are tiny, absolute no effort made to help. Viewing area for swimming in the main pool is up x3 flights of stairs which is great if you are fit and able, if you have a small child in a pram think again or if you are disabled think again. The manager is by far the most unreasonable guy I've ever met. One swimming instructor (male) wasn't looking at children in the pool and my child would have drowned if my husband didn't scream from the Viewing area twice! My child lost all confidence at that point and cried at every lesson. This could have been avoided if he was paying attention. I would advise you to look at every other pool in the surrounding areas before using this one. They could be great if they just had a heart!

Update: Have removed a star for the rudeness of the staff this evening. On 06/02/19 there was a power cut in the pool and sports hall, however the entrance and gym were still lit up so there was no way of knowing this until you were inside. We were met by who i assume was the general manager (only one in a shirt other than the receptionist) who was greeting customers with "Thats not on, there is no power. You will have to go in the gym!". No courtesy, no apologies for the situation just a turse, one line response. He then went back to ignoring customers and laughing with the pool staff. I dont think his attitude was called guven the situation. Not impressed at all given that me and my partner pay for membership here.

Staff make this place such a nice place to go - i generally attend for swimming in the evenings as the schools generally use the pool daytimes . Apart from weekends and the over 50s which was on a Thursday

Took my son swimming here whilst my wife had an appointment in the area. Staff were friendly and helpful, the changing rooms and all the pool area was immaculately clean and we had a good time. We visited around lunch time on a Saturday and it was quiet, although there was a big England football game that day which may have otherwise occupied people! Would recommend this swimming pool, thanks

I took my granddaughter for her first swimming lesson this morning and was really impressed. The lady on reception was very helpful and the lady who took the class was fabulous with all the children. I would definately recommend this pool for swimming lessons

Do not send your child here for swimming lessons. My children attended 1 lesson each and we took them straight out. The instructor, Emma, in my opinion is in completely the wrong job. Didn't bother to introduce her self or speak to me or my daughter before the lesson started. She literally pointed my daughter towards the armbands and told her to put them on. (My daughter was 4 at the time, very nervous and didn't know how to get the armbands on!). The lesson consisted of Emma stood at the side of the pool literally screaming at the children to kick their legs. Other than that, there was no other teaching going on. My daughter was absolutely petrified, didn't understand what Emma wanted her to do and cried the whole time. Emma didn't notice this at all as she was more interested in taking photos of the other children on her Ipad. Some of the children wanted to dive in at the bog pool. Emma instructed the children to get to the big pool and waltzed off, shouting "ive not got all day". My daughter, who was terrified, ended up stood at the pool crying her eyes out. Then it was time for my little boys lesson. He was 3 and again, very scared. Unfortunately, he wouldn't go anywhere near the pool and stood at the door crying. Emma didn't come over to us once throughout the whole lesson - we were completely ignored. We left and complained to the manager. After speaking to Farnworth swimming baths Emma is well known for this behaviour. They describe her as being monotone.... I would describe her as aggressive and rude. Why the leisure centre don't do anything about it is beyond me. She is in completely the wrong job and caused my children to both be even more frightened of swimming lessons than before !

Do not join this gym! I had a NO contact membership I gave notice to cancel but it takes 2 weeks for someone to look at the email for them to cancel your membership, in that time your next payment goes out it says they will refund you. Instead of waiting for that to happen I cancelled the direct debit and obviously stopped using the gym. 1 month on I have threatening emails and texts saying I owe them money or they will take it to court. You can’t get in touch of someone at the gym, it’s a joke.

Good setup these days and swimming lessons are of a good quality. Well until most peoples favourite instructor has left. Only time will tell if the quality remains the same or excels further.
