As a vegan household, it’s hard to find a good takeaway in Bolton. Plant pigs food is absolutely delicious & it’s ALL vegan not just a few items! We ordered the Chick’n Gyros, the Tex-Mex burger, 2 x biscoff cookies with cream, a Ferraro milkshake & a strawberry milkshake. The Food was unbelievably tasty, fresh and delivered hot. Really happy with everything and will 100% be eating here in the very near future. If your vegan, I would recommend this place and if your not, your missing out!!

Great to have a vegan takeaway. The burgers are always great and the Mrs has the gyro. Shakes are amazing and personally prefer them to cow based shakes. Would like to have a bit more seasoning in the gyro but otherwise it's all good.

Best burger I've tasted. Chips banging. Big portions. Total food coma afterwards 😆. Definitely recommend!

After ordering from here for a year I thought it was time to review! Food is always spot on and very consistent. I moved to Bolton with the fear of there not being many vegan options (have lactose intolerance and eating vegan is the only viable and anxiety free option 90% of time) and although there isn't in general, this place makes up for it ten fold! The only downside is the effect on my bank account from ordering so often 😂

Great food at a great price. Currently working our way through the menu, last week was the "chickin" gyros which were great, followed by this weeks burgers. I had "The Sweet One" burger (pictured), and my other half had the "The Spicy One", with a side of chickin nugs. Great service and prompt delivery. Non-vegan folk need not be scared, very flavoursome, you wont be disappointed.

Delicious vegan "junk" food (BIG flavour but not greasy!) If you're collecting: Following the trail off the main road where there's a "Plant pigs" sign, continue to follow the road over the small bridge, along past the cricket pitch, towards the buildings at the far end. You'll come to a gravel car park, turn left and there will be a low (currently grey) building with the Alt Burger/Plant Pigs sign on it, just give them a knock on the (currently white) door. It might be difficult for people who use mobility aids as there's a slight decline and "lip" by the door but staff are friendly and you can add messages for specific requirements on the order form. It is safe for pedestrians and the road has a low speed limit and speed bumps. I've ordered from here quite a few times over the last couple of years (both delivery and collection) and hoo boy do they do good food or what?! It's a shame they changed their name (Alt Burger sounds so generic!) but the food and shakes are as good as ever. I've tried everything on the menu that isn't spicy and there's nothing I don't like! The prices are decent, the portions are filling and the staff are lovely. The only "negatives" I've experienced have been: Deliveries getting delayed after the order form automatically changes our postcode sometimes and the delivery people haven't checked their messages for the correct address. On one occasion we were accidentally given a cookie from someone else's order so had to turn around in the car and drop it back off (luckily we had just pulled out the car park). The "nutty" shakes are a bit too rich for my taste - of course this is entirely subjective! Twice we've turned up to collect but food was just a few minutes late (not a big deal) but then it would somehow be lukewarm within the short journey home - this also happens with "on time" deliveries so I don't think their packaging is well insulated enough. Tater tots don't have enough sauce - there's usually a bit on top but not enough for all the tots in the pot beneath - the "truffle mayo" also sadly only tasted like mayo to my tastebuds. Fries have also been a bit on the dry side. On one occasion our order was cancelled BUT we were notified by text that it was because the oven had unfortunately broken, the staff were very apologetic and provided a full refund so there wasn't an issue at all, just an understandable downside of it being a small business...On that note it's also a shame that the opening hours and delivery area are quite limited because they're so good!

The food was absolutely amazing! I’ve been vegan for 2 years and this is honestly the BEST vegan deserts, mains AND milkshakes that I’ve ever had. My friend isn’t vegan but she said she couldn’t tell the difference between any of the items I can’t wait to order again soon. We ordered the gyro - WOW Tex mex loaded fries - AMAZING A burger - FANTASTIC Mac & cheese balls - anszunfb& huge portion Milkshakes and desserts - out of this world!! Honestly absolutely amazing food.

We have eaten from alt around 5-6 times. Absolutely love the food, better than the vegan restaurants in Manchester City Center. Massive thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I ordered from here just before Christmas, and I cannot wait to order again soon! The mushroom calamari was a personal favourite, but all the food we ordered was such good quality, very tasty and not at all greasy like you get with other fast food. Extra brownie points from me for the recyclable/biodegradable packaging too - such a clever thought! Amazing food, keep up the good work Plant Pigs 🌱🐽

Ordered three times from here so far - so happy we now have a local vegan takeaway. Variety of foods that taste amazing! The chocolate fudge cake is by far the best vegan dessert I’ve tasted 😊 Extra thanks for changing our delivery address at short notice yesterday due to my car breaking down!

Exactly what is needed food I perfect in every way shoud be 5 stars, however the issue is they are hardly ever open for regular customers, shut for food festival or at a barbecue somewhere, love the food easily the best vegan option around but that's no good if you can't order it. The last 4 time i have tried to order on there advertised opening times they have been shut they need to be open more for there regular customers.

First order from here was perfect. Unfortunately our second order arrived cold and a burger was missing. Fries seemed undercooked. Put us off ordering again. Delivery was very expensive.

What a refreshing change to the usual takeaways. Tried it with family who were vegan and loved it that much we have returned more than once! Great selection and good prices across the menu. Absolute favourite was the breakfast burger but everything we have had (Not dogs, Burgers, Selection box, Kids meals) has been brilliant.

I'm not normally a person who eats vegan. I decided to order a delivery on a cold Friday night just to try out the food. I was not disappointed. The Pickle Fries were a delight. Crispy light batter was excellent. I also tried the Mac & Cheese Balls. Deep fried and crisp. The Sweet Chilli dip complemented them really well. Next I opted for a 'Chicken' Giro which again was excellent and very tasty. By the end I was stuffed so the chocolate fudge ake is in the fridge for later or tomorrow. All the food is presented really well. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

Love this place so much! Every single thing we have ever ordered has been absolutely amazing and we love that it’s exclusively vegan, so no worries about cross contamination that you might get with a regular takeaway. Highly recommend - it’s becoming a weekend tradition in our house! P.s the cinnamon s’mores cookie dough that was available around Christmas last year was to die for - I really hope you’ll be doing it again this year!😋
