I never take out the time to write negative reviews but this place really needed one with their extremely poor service from the receptionists. I called the reception at 8am at 39 weeks pregnant with cold and flu symptoms and was told by one of the ladies (who had a extremely unprofessional tone) that the GP can’t do anything and I should call my midwife. Common sense says that midwife’s don’t give prescriptions out for colds and flus. I told the receptionist this and she totally dismissed me and said there’s nothing they can do after I was on hold for 15mins. I then proceeded to Call maternity triage who said they don’t understand why I had called them as the GP normally deals with cold and flu symptoms, pregnant or not (surprise surprise). She told me to call the Gp back. So I called the GP surgery back and a different lady answered the phone this time and said ‘We wouldn’t have told you to call the midwife as we know they don’t give out prescriptions’. I told her someone at the reception DID tell me to call the midwife and turned me away and I ended up wasting an hour calling everyone back and fourth. I told her the call should be looked into and she didn’t even apologise, completely dismissive and told me that she will book me in for a telephone consultation. I will definitely be changing my GP surgery. The unprofessionalism is unbelievable in this place.

The receptionist at this place, are so poor. They don't care. Last time I rang from just outside the surgery they blantely ignored the call for 5 minutes I was watching them as I live on the street. Shocking staff when you ask for an appointment they make you wait 6 months.

As much as I love this GP the receptionists are absolutely rude! They need to learn basic customer service. They talk over you and speak in a very condescending manner. Very very disappointed. Telling me I have to pay for a urine sample collection at the pharmacy for my antenatal appointments?! I don’t even have to pay for prescriptions or dental treatments, why should I pay for a urine sample when I was advised I can collect it from the GP?! Sort your receptionist’s customer service skills out.

I have not had such a thorough and comprehensive appointment with a doctor, ever! Dr Choxi was so very kind, put himself out to make sure I had an appointment with him today. In house, all the tests were done, instead of having to wait for referral after referral, and, from the receptionist all the way to the nurses and this amazing doctor, I cannot say enough about how positive this experience was. He took so much time to explain everything, looked back on my records to get the big picture of my health and, while this should really be common practice, these days it is very rare. I am delighted and extremely impressed with this practice. I feel lucky to have found this doctor

Receptionists from Hell! Dr Nixon and Dr chowksi, top men. But the receptionists, oh my word! Rude, arrogant, self-important, narcissistic, putrid, dim-witted, obtuse, cold , soul- less bunch of twits! Act your wage, women! Typical exchange: "I can give you an appointment in 6 weeks time!" "I'm in pain now, woman!"

The worst GP surgery… can’t get seen by a doctor. Not even for my 5 year old. Definitely need new receptionists. Rude!!! Gone downhill since Dr Caldwell left.

Attended with my daughter - both of us are exempt from wearing a mask. When I explained to the Dr, her response was a simple 'no' and proceeded to assess my daughter outdoors! Treated like second class citizens for not wearing a mask with valid reasons. Her assessment was brief and grudgingly gave me an explanation about how to treat my daughter. Will be switching GP's soon. Government guidelines and medical advice makes us exempt but the look on her face when I told her we are exempt was disgusting!

One of the finest GP surgeries in the North West their services are very professionally maintained the GPs are very caring and giving their best to look after their patients on a regular basis especially Dr Maitrayee Arya, Dr Mohomed Choksi and Dr Paul Nixon. I cannot thank them enough for all their efforts. Thank you very much.

It’s an extreme rarity to get an appointment. The receptionists seem to avoid answering the phone and are rude when they eventually do. Would have rated it 1 star, however 2 of the GP’s are genuinely really good but it’s extremely hard to get an appointment with them.

The drs are fine and do a great job but the receptionist most off them are on phone to their family telling them to come in straight away cause there's been a cancellation or make personal calls to family then try get through to them on the fone is frustrating cause they can take up to 10 mins to answer cause they are talking to each other or doing something else instead off their jobs and if you got ibs and you need toilet and you not with the surgery or have a appointment you can't use the toilet they need new receptionists who can do the job done

Honestly, I would give 0 stars if I could! I had the worst experience as a whole.. I moved into the bl3 area just before I had a baby, so I thought it’d be ideal to change surgery. Worst decision ever made! Never needed to call the surgery before my baby was born.. but EVERY single time I have called, nothing has ever gone smoothly! My last experience was the worst by far. Had to wait for my call to be answered for over 30 minutes, then the receptionist said I had to wait for a phone consultation. That’s absolutely fine. Then when the doctor called, told me to come into the surgery immediately. Imagine with a 6 month old baby I rushed everything and got out of the house within 5 mins. Then when I got there, the doctor made me wait over 50 mins to see my child. Then eventually he came and said my baby’s name and which room to visit.. I was near the door with a small pram, he saw this and closed the door in front of me.. so I was on my own trying to juggle the door & pram.. Then I walked in to the room, and the doctor started another phone consultation IN FRONT of me! Not like I waited 50 mins outside already, I had to wait another 10 mins inside of the doctors office! ABSOLUTELY UN CALLED FOR! I’ve waited long enough with my baby, who was by that time getting wingey! Also DATA PROTECTION, as I heard the whole conversation. I know exactly what he spoke to them about. He Spoke to the patient, and his wife and I knew exactly when he booked the appointment for and why. This was my last time visiting this surgery!

Gp with ever switched off phones. PS Forgot to add they make you wait 40 mins for an appointment with a small child. Some doctors are good and try to be helpful but overall they have so much to improve as a service.

Appalling. No care for patients and Dr choksi and the nurse Alison in particular making patients feel like they are not valued. Making elderly people go from room to room to look for their appointment, and being unbothered when asked. No care in the world.

One of the worst medical practices in history. Nurses are careless and majority of doctors are outright rude. Will be taking this further due to the amount of stress and anxiety caused on those close to me being affected by the staff of this surgery.

By far the worst doctors in England!! Never see you on time! And the receptionists are the rudest people ever! Speak to you like utter rubbish!

This is the worst doctors surgery ever. I tried to get through to them for over an hour. When I did get through, I was told there were no appointments available as they'd all gone. I was told that I could go and see a chemist. A complete joke.

My experience with Swan lane Medical centre has always been very pleasant. All the Gps and the medical receptionists are good. Especially Dr Arya as she is so caring and compassionate, as though she feels our pain As I went in , Dr Arya carried out a thorough check and prescribed the correct medication, followed by a very much needed abdominal ultrasound. She advised me to eat well as I was losing weight and was very concerned for me. She said I should be seen again the next month so she can check my weight if I progressed further. Dr Arya always makes me feel better because she has a little chat generally about things which calms me down and I don't feel anxious. Keep up the good work Dr 👍

Very racist aggressive staff on the reception areas the two female white womans and the Asian woman very rude racism and aggressive towards patients and other members of the public. This place needs to shut down and needs sorting out. Even the doctors they are all worthless and liers and they talk like they are gangsters I advice every one to leave this place and go anywhere else

I personally think this surgery are great. All staff friendly and helpful and great medical team. I have always managed to get appointments and the fact they are one of the few surgeries that stayed open to patients during lockdown was great. Great continuity of care . I wouldn’t go anywhere else
