Well. This review has 2 parts. The food. Absolutely delicious. Really nice Chinese food. But the service. The absolute worst in Bolton. I ordered fried rice without vegetables but they made it with. When I phoned up they told me to go back and they would make me another. When I got back to the chippie, one lady started accusing me in front of a shop full of people of lieing. (*Why would I lie about ordering my food without vegetables). It was really embarrassing for someone who doesn't like situations like that. When she gave me the food, she told me again that I need to order it without vegetables. I again told her that I did but she just looked at me as if I was lieing. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. PRETTY DISGRACEFUL BEHAVIOUR FROM A BUSINESS 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

I never do bad reviews but … I ordered chips, peas , pudding and gravy and suffered bad food poisoning from here tried to ring today but closed.. when finally spoke to them, they said they have loads of people eat there puddings and not get poisoning , didn’t really solve the issue , didn’t care, and no follow up

Chips and sausage were nice, still warm when I got home reasonable size portion

I'm not sure who Jenny is but the food that comes from their house is spot on, a tiny bit expensive but it's a local business and bills are mad at the moment, quality of the food makes it worth it :)

Never had a bad meal there apart from on one occasion they forgot the chips only realised when arrived home and couldn't be bothered to drive back but excellent food there would recommend

Always fantastic service. Telephone ordered and picked up. No wait time, when they state a time, it's nearly spot on. Great selection of traditional fish and chips and Chinese cuisine. Staff are very friendly.

I don't like many chippys but this one is great, I like proper British fish and chips and jennys house makes brilliant chippy tea. Chips are always perfect, plenty of salt and vinegar 😋. They do Chinese food too.

Should of left a review on here a long time ago, I have tried MANY I mean MANY Chinese takeaways and this is OUTSTANDING!! The staff are lovely and the quality of food is next to none! 5* around the board from me

I have to make a public complaint about how the fish are getting smaller and smaller, I have been a regular customer at Jenny's for 20 years and I can accurately state that the fish served are now tiny, this is a deliberate decision to charge customers full-price for a much smaller fish.I have shopped at various chippy's in Bolton and all are much larger than Jenny's and are all similar sized, making it glaringly obvious that Jenny's are selecting fish much smaller than their local competitors and still charging full-price. It's outrageous to treat customers like this, we deserve value for our money. Family, friends and acquaintances agreed with me when I raised the issue, they too have noticed a reduction in the size of the fish, we even bought a fish from Jenny's and one from another chippy to compare the two and the other chippy's fish dwarfed Jenny's...but importantly both was the same price. Their shenanigans have lost my custom...I refuse to be exploited like this.

I've been going here ever since I could walk here and buy a Scotland after school just for 40p and when I've had money I've always had Chips pudding peas and gravy just because but 8 do admit when jenny is shut I go to chaues chippy on tonge moor Road but I do really like jenny House chippy and just memories of coming here growing up and getting a bag of chips for walking home

Overcharged for food and chips weren't fully cooked non of us enjoyed the food maybe they were just having an off day so could be willing to give it another go and try again at some point in the future but I doubt it

All the food was freshly cooked and very tasty. Definitely go again.

Salt&Pepper dishes are really good ✨Honestly, I think it’s the best one in Bolton and staff there are nice and friendly. I’ve had food from Jenny’s for years. On the fish&chips side, I’ll say - they are high standards, especially the lightly battered fish. The size of course will be slightly smaller than the standard ones, it’s reasonable to me tho

Was told to try this Chinese takeaway today by a guy from Direct Meat as Chinese Chef was closed, glad I made the choice the food was amazing
