Our stay at Hotel Zur Bever was fabulous. From the moment we arrived our hosts Marcus and Brigit made us absolutely welcome. Our room was modern and comfortable, the breakfast was sensational and the best of our trip with a wide selection of locally made produce and fruit. The hotel is ideally located for the active traveller and is a short bike ride to the train and other beautiful little towns. The country side surrounding the hotel is very, very beautiful and we spent a lot of time just riding and exploring surrounding towns. We highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel! Staff was very pleasant and helpful. My room was big, it was actually an apartment. One bedroom, bathroom, small kitchen and a big living room with a double bed and sofa. Room was clean, heating was working very good, water pressure in the shower was perfect. There is free WiFi although the signal is not strong enough in all places if the hotel. There is also free parking.

Hidden Treasure What a wonderful place hidden away in Westbevern, Telgte. The couple that manage the hotel were amazing and speak both German and English which was really helpful to explain things to see and do in the area. Our room ticked all the boxes down to the smallest detail. Great location for some beautiful walks or bike riding in the country side and forrest or just to sit by the river and glass of wine. Absolute value for money. Rooms are big, clean and a double bed plus a single one was very practical. Excellent breakfast, beergarden 20 meters from the frontdoor, same for pleasant restaurant with good food. Try for yourself!

I was very satisfied with my stay here! I only booked 2 hours in advance via a website on a monday evening. At arrival everything was taken care of, even though I arrived late in the evening. The room was clean and spacious with all the amenities needed and a comfortable bed. Would go here again when I need a hotel in the area.

This Hotel is relatively simple but excellent. We cannot recommend the Hotel zur Bever highly enough and Markus Traebert is a welcoming host. We enjoyed room 11 - a large apartment on the top floor - so I can't speak for the 'standard' rooms, but ours was spacious, light and well appointed. The breakfast room has a good number of tables and the breakfast buffet is heaving with choices, so no-one should go hungry! The staff are welcoming, friendly and attentive, and some speak excellent English which is a great help for those whose German is only of 'school boy' standard! There is a restaurant on the ground floor with an entrance facing the street (not to be confused with a simpler diner at the back of the Hotel) and this has a good menu and skilled chefs who provide superb dishes of generous proportions. Be warned however, this restaurant is not part of the Hotel and has a seperate proprietor; it does not accept credit cards, so 'foreigners' like us are well advised to withdraw some cash beforehand from the Volksbank adjacent to the Hotel.

Nicely located hotel with clean, comfortable, spacious rooms and ubber friendly staff. Everything you need for a healthy breakfast. Will definitely would stay here again.
