I recently had the pleasure of returning for a stay at this wonderful family-owned bed and breakfast in northern Idaho, and I can’t say enough good things about it. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm and welcoming smiles, setting the tone for an incredible stay. The service here is absolutely fabulous! The owners and family went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. They were not only attentive but also incredibly friendly, making us feel like we were part of the family. The food was another highlight of our visit. The breakfasts were a true delight, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients that left our taste buds dancing. Each morning we couldn’t wait to see what delicious surprises awaited us. The rooms were clean, cozy, and filled with charm. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of our accommodations, and we felt right at home. The beds were comfortable, and the amenities provided were top-notch. What truly sets this bed and breakfast apart, though, is the exceptional service. They not only made us feel pampered but also provided great local recommendations for activities and dining in the area. If you’re looking for a memorable and heartwarming experience in northern Idaho, I highly recommend this family-owned bed and breakfast. It’s a hidden gem that we can’t wait to return to. Five stars all the way!

I stayed at Northside Bed and Breakfast with my mom and my youngest son when I was on a book research trip in North Idaho, researching hikes all over the state of Idaho! We absolutely LOVED our stay here. The family who owns this B&B is welcoming and accommodating. One of the granddaughters even figured out how to make my son's napkin in the shape of a bear; he was so happy! And the breakfasts were delicious; my personal favorite were the huckleberry scones. The location is lovely, the rooms were well-decorated and clean and we loved that we had our own bathroom. This was my first experience staying at a Bed and Breakfast and I truly enjoyed it! One of my favorite things was the heated pool; it was so rejuvenating and invigorating to get out for a morning swim while we were there. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

5/5 stars is an understatement, this B&B is AMAZING! It was our second time back at Northside School, and we are just blown away by this wonderful place. The owners and their family are such incredible people who are so hospitable, helpful, and kind. The breakfast is delicious (and so are the cookies - definitely recommend getting those), the beds are comfortable, and each room has so much character and charm. The hot tub and pool area is an oasis, and the location is great with stunning views. We plan to return for our wedding anniversary, this place is such a gem that you don't want to miss out on.

We stayed in the paleontology room after arriving on a dark and stormy night. We were greeted with a lovely tour of the building and settled in to cozy beds and a spacious room. Such a great building with huge ceilings, massive windows, and character. Slept wonderfully and had the most fantastic breakfast the next morning. Great attention to detail, welcoming hosts, and wonderful space made for a really memorable stay. Will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed staying here. The owners were very friendly. Unfortunately we only were able to stay one night. After a long day of traveling we were greeted with warm cookies. After a tour of the property we enjoyed a dip in the pool. My grandchild enjoyed swinging on a wooden swing and we played a game of teather ball. The next morning we relaxed in the library area reading while having some coffee. We enjoyed a delicious homemade breakfast before checking out. If you’re in the area I would recommend staying here.

Spent a single night on return from Glacier National Park. B&B in old, former schoolhouse. Hosts are absolutely amazing. Cookies at check-in, and homemade breakfast in the morning. Hot tub felt great after driving/hiking. Pool looked like it was still open, but the air temperature was a bit cold for us to test it out. Rooms are all former classrooms, each with a theme (astronomy, chemistry, history...even a room in the former principals' office. Private bathrooms. Hardwood floors squeaked a bit (to be expected in a building this old)...but that just added to the character. Thanks for the great stay!
