Beautiful locale and good service. You pay, you get a tube and a ride back to the launching area once you complete your adventure. My family (two preschoolers) did the two hour trip which is about as long as they could stand. They were able to get out and play in the shallow water. It would be lovely to have more information before hand. Like suggestions to wear water shoes, to bring a waterproof bag for your phone and snacks to bring in a cooler. Would recommend to vacationers with a morning or afternoon to kill.

We have gone down the Watauga and now the Nolichucky with High Mountain Expeditions. There is a fantastic and well planned adventure down the Watauga that we highly recommend for families. The Nolichucky was exhilarating! Patrick, Jimmy, Kurt and others were great. One guy (forgot his name) took great care of my friends the Stones. Book these guys today!

Great fun half day rafting! This is a great company. Very family friendly and a safe rafting trip for smaller kids! We had tons of fun at the jump rock and with splash battles. The scenery is beautiful. The staff is kind, funny and safe.

EXCELLENT place to go for white water rafting!! We had a party of 10 people and we all had a blast!! Megan and Patrick made the bus ride so much fun and we enjoyed Patrick’s jokes. We had a great guide(can’t remember his name) and we enjoyed the water gun fight with other rafts. We will definitely be back in the future.

Easy check in process. It went by too quick, but we had a blast kayaking with the family. Trip only took about 1.5hrs.

Friendly staff with convenient location & river accessibility. The shuttle back to the start point is quick and runs regularly. Would definitely use again
