Excellent food. The tenderloin was huge and crispy on the outside and tender and juicy in the inside. The burger was outstanding. Clean and good atmosphere. Service was excellent. We'll definitely come back and really recommend

Iowa has no mountains but The Colorado Grill will take you to new heights of flavor you might not expect in the humble town of Boone. My Colorado Philly would rival the east coast original! Great home town service, reasonable prices... I'll climb here again.

Love getting the Garlic Parmesan traditional wings here and they always have amazing desserts to try! Daughter loves the blackened chicken Alfredo and Son love the Philly or Monte Cristo! We order for curbside pick up more than we go and dine inside.

Best place in town to eat. Great service and comfy American dining.

Typically order to go. Food is almost always ready in 15-20 min. Wide variety to choose from and I have always enjoyed my meal. Prices are in the $10-12 range for an entree and side. Portions are great. Just the right amount. Service is outstanding. I work in retail and would hire anyone I've encountered here on the spot. Perfect place to order from when we don't feel like cooking. I've only been inside once. It is a bit dated and nothing fancy inside, but an energetic and fun atmosphere makes up for that. 110% put that on the servers. The food is not always going to wow you, but it always hits the spot. Bonus tip- Try the Monte Crispo wrap. $11 for a delicious, full size wrap and a side. My favorite item thus far.

Food was pretty good. It's actually a really good representation of Colorado / Iowa food, having lived in both places for a long time. Service wasn't bad by any means, I think she was just a little new. Atmosphere in the main restaurant is really good, but this time they were pretty busy and we were sat in a sort of back room where the Atmosphere wasn't nearly as good. One of our favorite restaurants in the area.

We ate lunch here with friends on 6/27/2023. Prices are reasonable ($15 to $20 per person). Food is excellent. Service is the best (thank you Christi). We highly recommend and would eat here again.

My first visit and as I am from Colorado, the pictures in the menu were nostalgic. Presentation was very good, no complaints. Just a little bit e too much overall noise for me. Food was delicious. I had the prime rib, well prepared, to my specifications, and beautifully presented. Service was responsive, as I needed, and she was both pleasant and efficient. Thank you for a very welcomed meal.

This is my favorite restaurant/bar in Boone! The food & drinks are always great. Marcus is the absolute best bartender. Definitely recommend!

Great food, wonderful customer service, friendly staff, delicious food. The steak was prepared exactly as ordered and the side salad was fresh. Definitely a place to grab a good meal when in Boone.

Ordinarily I make several visits to an establishment before reviewing, it's only fair; good days, bad days and all that. However, the entrees at The Colorado Grill were so uniformly above-average that waiting to return seemed a foregone conclusion. Between the four of us, not a single clunker – that's a good start. The real stand out was the Hot Roast Beef, (not mine of course). Heaping serving of meat on real skins-in mashed potatoes, that gets my vote next trip for sure. The Crispy Chicken Salad filled an entire over-sized server and seemed close to chicken with salad rather than the usual opposite. One of my long-time favorites anywhere, the Monte Carlo, was scrumptious hot and didn't even need the gilded-lily fluff accompaniment. (Half at home, cold, not-so-good.) I wish I had taken pictures. Bear in mind, we hit the door this time in the mid-afternoon so YMMV for dinner, service issues, crowding, etc. With the large lot, I don't imagine parking will be much of a problem. While I did appreciate the tile floor that let me slide up to the table rather than bunny-hop my chair, one of our party slid a little more than was comfortable for her. The next road trip in the area will probably include “Hey, what about that Boone spot?” All-in-all, a memorable experience.

Best family restaurant around the Boone area. The menu has many options and they also have daily specials. Good selection of draft beers and cocktails. My children and I dine here regularly, the food and service is always above average. Boone is lucky to have an establishment like The Grill!

Service was great, the food was great but had smaller portions. Nice. Clean. Quiet. The waitress was accommodating to my dad's hearing loss. Had the Empyrean peanut butter porter, it was fine but not very peanut buttery. Would be cool if they had the peanut butter porter from River Hops from Fort Dodge. That's a tasty beverage. [That's not really a critique, more of a suggestion if the owner reads this] They do onion rings right, thin and crispy, not store bought.

We read the reviews ahead of time and expected service to be slow, but they completely forgot about us. If we hadn’t spoken up we would have never been helped as the server for our table wasn’t aware we were her table despite being in her area. Seems there’s a huge communication disconnect. But once we got help everything went smoothly and our server was very nice. Food was good, though the Alfredo pasta was a bit lacking (I would get something else, other stuff on the menu seems better). Overall, cool place with good food.

Stood in line for a while before getting seated. When the girl finally came up to the desk, she just looked at us. No hello, how many, nothing! Told us it would be another 10 minutes before anything would be ready, yet there were booths and tables empty. We had to point out a table in the bar area that was open. Said she'd check, and walks away, comes back about 3 or 4 minutes later, then seats us there. Waitress was great! Friendly, bubbly and helpful. Food was really good. Chicken breast was on the small side, but delicious.

I recently dined at The Colorado Grill and despite the bustling atmosphere, the waitress provided exceptional service, effortlessly keeping up with the busy crowd. The food was not only delicious but surpassed my expectations. A truly remarkable dining experience!

Really nice staff, food is great as always and even with a full house I got mine in a surprisingly fast time. Definitely a place to go if you're in the area or live in Boone.

Awful service. We walked in and got in line. Seven people in front of us that said no one even acknowledged them yet. Stood there for 20 minutes with everyone being ignored. Lady walks past all of us, grabs a random server and says something to her. Her and party of 15 that came after all of us walked past everyone and got seated, pathetic. We went to LaCaretta, were seated in 2 minutes and had our food within fifteen. Colorado Grill is pathetic.

Their food is very good however.....their parking lot leaves much to be desired. Their concrete parking curbs are literally from at least the 80's from when it used to be a Godfathers, and are super tall. This being said, cars today are lower to the ground than 80's cars especially with spoilers and ground effects and unfortunately the 80's concrete parking curbs there are not 2014 car friendly as I found out when one of their curbs ripped half the front-end off my Charger. 😡 They didn't even care and were too busy to even talk to me about it. Needless to say I have not been back since.

Traditional wings smelled like they were old and they were very dry and flavorless. Did not offer refund even though I only ate one. Friends food was good. DO NOT ORDER TRADITIONAL WINGS !!

Worst experience in a long time. Will not get another dime of my money. Last 2 times same waiter. I ordered salad never got it. Sat down and took 20 minutes for waiter to even show up to table at all. My wife ordered hot beef it was cold. I ordered chicken strips and fries which were also cold. I asked for a refill of iced tea as my drink had been empty a while. Waiter never brought it. I took my drink up to get refilled and he was the waiter just standing there talking with other employees. Came with the bill and said how busy he was lol. Yeah okay. I called the owner when I got home and he said he was to busy to talk right now as he had to many orders. Overrated. Never again will we step foot in that place.

Called in my order, said to pick up in 20 minutes. Showed up in 20 minutes, had to wait another 25 minutes. The food was edible, but cold and greasy. Never had a good experience here.

This place is extremely over priced and under whelming. Food is subpar at best and bland IMO. Both times I've been. Service has been great though.

Nice very clean restaurant with a lot of menu choices. Had the sunrise Berger and a dark local beer. Stuffed!!. Staff friendly and always on the move checking on customers. Will definitely be back. .

We wanted a light lunch so grabbed a couple apps to share. They were quick and tasty and highly recommend anyone stopping there for a good meal!

Worst service ever of anywhere I have ever been. I ordered an appetizer, soup & salad. Soup came out, then salad. No appetizer, so I ask where my appetizer is. She says, oh I forgot, do you still want it? Of course I want it... So by the time I get it, I am about done eating.. my uncle asks her 3 times for a glass of water before getting one. Then after we are all done eating, she brings out my aunt's french fries that she forgot. Really? Then she brings the bills, no discounts?? I ask about it, oh I'm sorry about everything.. so she runs the credit cards and is going to bring us our receipts, then we wait another half an hour.. oh and we never get any drink refills, so I leave very thirsty, needing to take my supper pills and very upset with the service..

Not worth the price!! There were several of us that had lukewarm food and breading was doughy no seasons very bland. The waitress however was very attentive and made sure our drinks were filled, always checking on us. The best thing was the drinks.

I order take out all the time! The drive up window makes it extremely convenient. Price is good for the food you get. Tastes great, cooked to order, and lots of burger and sandwich options, all of which making it one of the best food options in boone in my opinion.

We had a crowd of 30 people that came into Colorado Grill for lunch after a funeral and the restaurant accommodated all of us beautifully. The waitress was especially great, our orders were taken quickly, and they were all correct! Wish I knew her name cause she was great. Kudos to Colorado Grill.

The service was very good but the food was mediocre at best. Got the Philly and the meat tasted old or was freezer burnt. Made me feel ill within the hour. The appetizer was fine and they had a nice selection of drinks available.
