Found a bed bug under our sheets the first morning of our stay. Room (108) was spot cleaned but clearly not deep cleaned very often as even just a little bit of looking around showed food wrappers under the mattress and behind the bed, etc. As well as lots of old hair. Giving 2 stars because the Hotel staff responded quickly when we showed them the bed bug - and comped our whole stay. The breakfast was actually very good as well.

The room was huge and the amenities were amazing. There is a heated indoor pool and a buffet style breakfast. The only reason I did four stars was because the front desk service was not great. When I checked in the guy was not organized at all and it took a long time to check in. Then in the morning I waited at the front desk for over 5 minutes before the lady came out (I heard her in the back just giggling). I asked if they could do late check out and she said no due to occupancy but I checked their website and the hotel wasn’t even fully booked. I would definitely recommend this hotel for its location, price, and amenities but I would hope they get their staffed better customer service training.

We had a wonderful stay! I was hesitant to book here after reading some of the reviews but I didn’t experience any of the negative things written in the reviews. The front desk receptionist, Deborah, was very kind and friendly. The room was comfy and very clean. The breakfast was delicious and the lady serving breakfast was so friendly! Of course every hotel has to be maintained over the years and will have some issues from time to time but our stay was great. The only thing I can think of that I didn’t like is that our hotel door didn’t lock behind us well and the exterior side door was unlocked. Good stay, would recommend.

Tl;dr -- I really wanted to give this stay 5 stars but we discovered bed bugs. The good: Stayed 6/17/2023-6/20/2023. Staff was great, management was attentive, breakfast was delicious. My kiddo loved the indoor pool. The beds were comfortable. The bad: Checked the mattress before we settled in and didn't notice anything. Noticed bites the second day but thought it was from mosquitos from being outside the day before. Noticed more bites on our arms the last morning and knew there were bed bugs. Sure enough, when we slid back the box spring cover, they had been hiding by the wall. We took video and showed to the front desk. Management was horrified, immediately refunded our stay and gave us trash bags to put our stuff in. As we were leaving, a large collection of staff came to inspect. I feel they took the situation seriously and we enjoyed our stay (minus bugs!) but I wouldn't risk staying there again.

I’m not sure how this place got such high reviews? We came to check in — no one at front desk. Called, no answer. Waited around for 15 or 20 minutes until someone finally showed up to check us in. She was friendly, at least. Went into room — crumbs on top of fridge cabinet. Crumbled paper on desk. Not super encouraging signs. The bed did seem clean, though, so that was good. Bathroom was tiny, could barely move. Tried to use body lotion — it was basically empty. Had been used by a prior guest and remains left there for us. Gross. Breakfast was lackluster. Entire hotel seemed old and dated. Not impressed. Disappointing experience. Only positive was the staff — they are friendly.

Hotel location is perfect. And it's quiet. However, the 2nd floor elevator area was a bit on the dirty side. The cafeteria was right next to it. So i get it. But still. Still, it was a good hotel to stay at.

Great when traveling with two sons who are young men. It has 2 queens and a sleeper sofa. We got in at 2:30 am because of car trouble. It was very easy to sleep in. The breakfast was good. The egg omelettes were good. Had real orange juice and a milk dispenser. The coffee was very weak. Really close to ASU. Hard to pull across traffic. I recommend taking the right exit so you are further away from light.

I stayed here overnight and was pleased. The room was well maintained and clean. Everything worked as it should and the shower was hot with good water pressure. The staff was friendly and supportive and the price reasonable. Well recommended!

Pros: Great location and Chris in charge of the breakfast buffet, ready before 6:30 am. He's got a great attitude, communication, hussle and work ethic! He deserves a raise! Cons: No room service for 5 days. Large stains on hallway carpet, rude front desk workers, pool had problems. My parents were in a handicap room, luckily didn't injure themselves when a room chair fell apart. Overall: Corporate should come in this location unannounced and shake the tree of employees.

We have stayed at Comfort Suites many times over the years. They really jacked the prices up for this homecoming so place did not look as full as in the past. The room was ready early so we do appreciate that. There were a few housekeeping overlooks but nothing we couldn't overcome. Place has an indoor pool, free breakfast, a decent exercise room, and free cookies and water. Location is great but the traffic on game weekends trying to exit and go left back toward the main road is brutal and will require you to either be very patient or be a beast to get your turn in line. Be careful.

Really nice stay! The staff was helpful and quick to fulfill requests, and the hotel has a very nice pool and even a small gym for those interested. The hotel room I had was very clean and comfortable. For the price I think it's worth it. Also just a few minutes down the road from Walmart and other shops so it's in a convenient location.

Did not enjoy the room. The bed sheets had holes, one of my pillowcases had blood stains on it, found food on the carpet, and the bathtub was dirty and found a couple hairs in it. The bed was not as comfy. Overall, would not stay here again. Would not have expected these out of a Comfort Inn. On a positive note, I will say the breakfast here is great, with a variety of options.

Well, first let me say the front desk staff was not welcoming nor concerned about their guests. Have stayed in Boone many times at Hampton Inn but chose this place since it was cheaper. Big mistake on my part. Our room was never cleaned the entire 3 nights we stayed; trash not emptied, towels not changed, beds not made even though we followed procedure and left the notice on the door stating we wanted housekeeping service. Carpet needs a deep cleaning in the room and hallways; it is nasty!! Never saw or heard a vacuum being used the entire time there. Our room door would not close properly, and we had to slam it several times to get the lock to work, so sorry to our neighbors!!! Room was hot when we checked in because no one turned AC on before our arrival, plus we did not get the room we booked because they admitted to over booking. I walked up and down floors for exercise and the third floor was sweltering. Hope not many folks were staying on it! Staff at front desk told my husband to bring trash to them and they would throw it away; also told to go there for fresh towels on 3rd day. Best thing going there is lemon water in lobby, enjoyed it. Breakfast area is too small so very crowded. You get what you pay for, but we didn’t feel we even got that. Hampton Inn would have been worth the extra money. Much nicer staff there and they actually clean daily! Oh, there was a guy who mopped the elevator when we were leaving to check out, and he was very friendly and attentive, he was the only exception to the indifferent staff.

The staff are very professional, friendly, and accomodating! The rooms - likely because they are old, still contain a light scent of cigarette smoke from back in the day when smoking was allowed. You can tell they have done some work to remove the smell, but it is embedded in the carpet and walls. This certainly has an effect on air quality and allergies, or those with breathing conditions. Otherwise, the location is great!

Well first off, let me say the room was large and very easily accommodated my larger family, which was nice. It had a fridge and working microwave, another plus. Also the front desk staff was nice the times we engaged with them. The fireplace in the lobby was beautiful. Overall rather quiet hotel in a very convenient to everything location. Now the bad: Pretty sure they didn't vacuum the floors cause the first thing I had to do with pick up after the people who'd come before us I think something horrific happened in our bathroom. The tub had very interesting stains in the bottom, and some of the tile had cuts in them... not like working cuts, literal cuts in the middle Found a needle under the sink, think it was an insulin needle but I sure as heck wasn't getting too close to it There was some kind of splatter stain on the wall next to our fridge which was disturbing Personally, my family won't be using this particular hotel again, but we wish the staff well.

Clean, friendly, and with heated pool. Oh yea! You need someplace to hang out when visiting app st.....this is probably the best. Rooms are big and comfy... lobby is clean and has seating. Right near everything. Our fav choice in Boone.

I celebrated my 61st birthday at the Comfort Suites. The receptionist Tracy was very helpful and friendly. Jerry the hotel manager was very nice also. He took pictures of my fiancee and I and promised to try to put the Christmas tree up before we checked out on Thanksgiving Eve. He had the tree up on Tuesday and it was great even without the ornaments. I will try to visit again in the snowy season.

The room was nicely decorated, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was AMAZING. Hands down the best free breakfast buffet I have ever seen. There were a ton of options (hot and cold) offered and kept well stocked during breakfast hours. The location was great as well. We will definitely be back!

Excellent hotel, beautiful breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausage, and friendly hostess/cook. Sheets and mattress covers of good quality. Clean bathroom. Nice people running this place. Employees seem happy. We had 2 queen suite with decent pull out couch. 1 TV, 1 bath, microwave, fridge, hanging closet. Foyer couches and fireplace really nicely updated. Exercise room with at least two treadmills. Pool had just a tree fall through window, was temporarily closed. (2-20-2022), they were very sorry. It looked nice too. 45 minutes to Beech mountain skiing.

We checked into a king room, but all king rooms were handicap accessible, with roll in showers. The shower floor is not sloped properly so water runs under the curtain and straight out onto the floor. There is always a 1/4" deep puddle in the middle of the shower that doesn't drain. The hotel apparently doesn't service the rooms during your stay, and we could have used more towels after sopping up the bathroom floor. We passed by a pile of towels and a vaccum in the hallway that remained there overnight and were still there when we left for the day. Overall, not worth $200 a night.

Very nice hotel. Staff was responsive to ant requests. The only reason I give it 4 stars out of 5 was the breakfast. Every single day they were out of something. One day it was cream cheese and orange juice. One day it was utensils. The last day it was milk. No milk for cereal or to drink. Every thing was spread all around and you had to hunt for things. The biscuits were hard and cold. Otherwise our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

Booked this after the first two places I booked were overbooked. Arrived to find management here allows overbooking as well. Thankfully the night manager was an incredible human and worked with me to figure something out and readied a room for me as best he could. I was so relieved to have somewhere to stay and grateful for his empathy and desire to help. It’s rare that someone surprises me in a way that’s positive but this was that exactly. Five stars for his display of kindness.

We've stayed twice! I highly recommend it. Friendly staff. Nice indoor heated pool. Rooms large and comfortable. A great diner called Troy's next door! You must eat there! Cheap. And great diner food. Great quality. The hotel is very clean as was the room. They have an excellent and I mean excellent hot breakfast!

This is a true customer review. I was not compensated. Best Value For The Money! This is the only place we will ever stay when visiting family near Boone. Delicious breakfast! Free coffee and water around the clock! Wonderful selection of items in their in-house general store! Clean and comfortable rooms (not perfectly so but this IS a hotel, it’s not necessarily going to be spotless.) Kindhearted staff who do anything they can to make your stay a comfortable one. This cannot be overstated, The Common Areas Are Clean And Well Maintained. Some places, all they care about is how they keep the rooms and the rest of the place is a dump! Not so here. The whole place feels like home every time, every inch of the property. Clean, well-stocked common bathrooms, pool, breakfast bar, gym, lobby etc.. We don’t come here as tourists but it is worth mentioning that they are close to lots of fun, touristy things to do in Boone as well as shopping and restaurants. The cute 50’s diner next door is a good, convenient option for lunch and dinner (although after your amazing free breakfast you might not have room for lunch.) Thank you so so much! You are our home-away-from-home in Boone.

We have been coming to this hotel every year for last 15 years. Always a pleassure to come back and with same great service. This year we met Jolyn, our waitress for our continental breakfast. She is a joy and very attentive. Love this hotel...

King suite very nice! Clean 3rd floor view of front. Super nice clerk. Didn't get his name, but he rides the scooter. Will return. The pool looked amazing & the fireplace looked so inviting

Clean, well stocked room. If we needed anything at all, they promptly provided it. Customer service was great, especially Jo Lynn and Bryan who prepared breakfast each morning. Super friendly and caring folks! This is a super convenient location to all of the local attractions, restaurants and shopping. We will definitely stay here again.

Check in staff was great and lady in breakfast room was amazing. Front desk lady in the morning was less than helpful and borderline rude and all I wanted was a copy of my receipt as it had not been placed under my door. Rooms were smaller than expected especially for a suite. Breakfast was great. Needs more than 1 elevator or at least have 1 in middle of hotel. Should have exit / entrance at both ends of hotel.
