First of all the name “Coffee Colombo” doesn’t go with what they serve the most. The place is very congested and not organized. We were given a table right in front of the lift which was very uncomfortable. The restaurant and reception of the hotel all lies in the same floor so people walk in and out always. The music was too high. It was like walking in to a normal hotel. The staff were welcoming and friendly but there was one person who was having this rude look and was shouting at the waiters. The staff were behind taking only Pittu orders which was the fast moving and less interested in taking other orders. They definitely have to improve the service. Talking about the food it wasn’t that great to the hype I get from people. The portions were too small for the price. The bowl in which the curry was served was chipped on the edge. Overall my experience here was not up to what I expected it to be. If the coffee shop and the reception of the hotel are separated it would be much better and maintained.

Had a lovely dinner here One of the best places to have Jaffna style food. Tried their pittu with chicken curry, jaffna omlette and the crab and prawn kottu. So delicious! Portion size is just adequate and reasonable pricing. It can be spicy, but this is as expected given the cuisine. Can get crowded at night, but it is worth it to have the food. Staff is friendly and courteous, and do their best to attend to all patrons despite the busy situation. Very nice and inviting ambience. You feel very welcomed. The only issue is the A/C doesn't work well, so it can get quite warm, but overall an excellent place. Highly recommend.

Update 28-10-2023 I had visited Coffee Colombo in the past, and my previous experiences were quite good. However, my recent visit for a Jaffna lunch left me thoroughly disappointed. I ordered the Seafood and Mutton lunch pack, and it was priced at 1760+. Unfortunately, the taste was horrible, and the overall meal left much to be desired. One of the significant letdowns was the lack of vegetables in the meal; it was essentially just a serving of dhall. A balanced and nutritious meal should include a variety of components, and this lunch pack fell far short of that standard. Given my recent experience, I cannot recommend their Jaffna lunch package at all. I hope they can improve the quality and variety of their offerings in the future. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Coffee Colombo and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff provided excellent service throughout my visit, despite the bustling weekend crowd. I had the opportunity to try their Jaffna crab masala with pittu, Singapore Chilli Chicken, hot garlic prawns, and hot butter cuttlefish rice. Each dish was bursting with flavor and made with the perfect blend of spices. The crab kottu was a standout, offering a unique and mouthwatering combination. However, I was a bit disappointed with the masala chai at the end, as it didn't quite capture the authentic flavor I was hoping for. Coffee Colombo is a popular spot, and it's no wonder why. The only drawback I experienced was that the air conditioning struggled to keep up with the crowd, making it a bit uncomfortable at times. I hope the management addresses this issue to enhance the overall dining experience. In conclusion, Coffee Colombo is a fantastic place to dine with your loved ones. The exceptional service, delectable food, and vibrant ambiance make it a top choice for a memorable meal. This is a small cafe by Marine Drive in Bambalapitiya (Colombo 04) operated by Hotel Eurolanka Colombo. Usually it is less crowded and a quiet place to relax and snack while enjoying the sunset and the sea. The waiter, who is also the cashier is a friendly person. Overall it is a good place. In terms of menu, the masala chai tea was good which I have tried. But will visit again to try other items in the menu.

Blame it on the poor delivery guy , it’s not abt the appearance its abt the taste and quality of the food... It was so bad I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!!!

This is not a ‘Coffee Shop’ in that sense, but a traditional Sri Lankan restaurant that has a northern Sri Lanka ambience. Basic service. Food quality is excellent that overshadows everything else. Specializes in Pittu, Mutton Curry & Crab curry. Street parking is available. A place to visit if you love Sri Lankan food, particularly Jaffna cuisine.

It was the only place opened at 7.30 in the morning. The server was very attentive and had a great attitude. The only downside was the fact that they were reluctant to turn on the AC. Well, expenses are high in Sri Lanka... But the drinks were great.

Had a good experience of Jaffna crab curry. I guess we can try only crab curry and pittu dish as most of them are recommended it but other than that i had tried crab kotthu.Its not worth to try. Not able to taste the crab spices and taste like a normal kotthu. Should have improved it.

But overall I will visit again only for their hearty signature dish- “ pittu with jaffna crab curry”!!

Small coffee shop inside hotel euro lanka. You can dine in euro lanka lobby as well. Good variety of coffee and tea available. Unique desert coffee cone is there. I have never seen such a desert. Its a coffee dip in a chocolate coated cone. You should try it. Some staff members shouting really loud in the lobby sometimes cannot understand why shouting such loud because its a small lobby. Its disturbing. Other than that descent place to have some great coffee.

This was a very nice place which i visited recently.... i enjoyed very eye catching food... i just loved the coffeecone in terms of food and the atmosphere was pretty amazing... i might say, specially food was very veryy beautiful the presentation was awsome and also this is a great place to hangout with special people❤

Food is not worth for the money you spent 1250 for 3 small pieces of pittu and a 1 piece of crab and gravy. Crab kottu is 1500 and portion size is really small. Taste is average. Ordered a masala chai and it was the worst that i have had.no enough milk and too much masala taste. Not happy with the overoll experiance. ***Not the same you see from social media***

Coffee Colombo is a great place to go for authentic Jaffna cuisine. Their pittu and crab curry is mouthwatering, and the Passion mojito is very nice. staff are super friendly and supportive. Nevatha, the main person, is especially friendly and very helpful. The prices are reasonable, and the overall experience is excellent.

I decided to dive right into their menu and opted for their signature dish, the Jaffna CRAB Masala paired with White Pittu. Let me tell you, it was an authentic delight. I also sampled a few other items from their menu. The Toast Bread With Sambol was a delightful start to the meal, offering a burst of flavors in each bite. I tried the Lychee Mojito, which was refreshing and a great thirst-quencher. However, I must admit that, as a Chai lover, I had high expectations for their Masala Chai. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. It lacked the depth and authenticity I was hoping for. The ambiance of the restaurant is a bit underwhelming; it's not particularly impressive or inviting. Additionally, the music was playing a tad too loudly, which detracted from the overall dining experience. A quieter atmosphere would have made for a more pleasant meal.

I tried jaffna crab curry and pittu. It served hot but taste was not good. There were no other options on that day( rice menu). I tried masala chai also. It was great and refreshing. Prices are reasonable.

Best Pitt and crab in Colombo the taste was excellent. Steaming hot pittu so yum and the crab gravy was spot on. The size of the crab could be bigger but for the price it's worth it.

Pittu with Jaffna crab curry is awesome like smell and taste is perfect. Crab Kottu is also good but you can’t taste crab taste much since kottu is overpowering crab curry taste. Ambient and service is also fine and they don’t have dedicated parking so side of marine drive is your parking. At nights place get fully packed and you might had to wait to get a seat. Ps : heard pittu crab kottu is good but didn’t get chance to try.

Dropped in here to try out the coffee cones. Although it was a novel concept, we were a little underwhelmed by it. The nachos were also not that great. The location though is pretty cute. Have heard that the pizzas were recommended, maybe next time :)

Coffee Colombo is a small cafe located on Marine Drive Road in Colombo. Though it's called Coffee Colombo, I think their crab pittu is more popular than their coffee. The Jaffna-style crab curry with pittu is a great combination, and I enjoyed it. I felt the potion size was just right, but it might not be enough for some. For the price you pay, I'm not sure if you can find a tasty crab curry anywhere else in Colombo. Overall, the experience was good.

I ordered a birthday cake for my baby's birthday and it was completely different from what we ordered. Not neat..not a professional work at all.I have sent all the reference pictures, colours and all the little little details and it was something horrible they sent. The main issue is they have not sent it with a proper box ,package was opened from all sides. Specially during this Covid-19 situation they were fail to take proper safety measurements. If they deliver food as in that way, can imagine the cleanliness and the safety measurements that they maintain within their kitchen limits. The cake was melted and damaged a lot.still they wanted me to consume this.for a kid's birthday. Never recommend them to anyone and be careful from these people who will do anything for the sake of money.poor customers service.

The food is excellent. Their signature dish,crab with pittu is a bomb. So is their kottu range, authentic jaffna taste. Drinks are also reasonably priced. Would visit again. The AC is not that efficient so please be mindful about the location you gonna sit, if you need AC.

They have a nice range of pittu! The flavour is delicious and full of spices that bring out the jaffna flavour. However, the portions are quite little. In addition, the meat quantity is excessively little, with only a few pieces. The price is a little excessive in comparison to the meal size, but the taste, spread, and service are excellent! The atmosphere is average and not exceptionally cool. Anyway, foodies better try this place at least once.

We didn’t waste our first day! We’re out to try the famous Jaffna style curries specially the crab 🦀 curry with Pittu. The curry powder and rub is prepared using fresh ingredients and fresh catch! One of the best pizzas I ever had! Pizzas are wood fired and informed that the ingredients are sourced from Italy, truly Italian! The avacado juice was perfect! Only one thing the management needs to look into is mosquitoes! Rest are perfect!

One of the best places for Pumpkin spice latte and cappuccino. Java Lounge used to be my favorite spot because they use Star Bucks coffee, but this is my new favorite place. They also make some of the best fresh juice like Avacado and orange juices. One of the best quick bites on the menu is french fries and chicken with melted cheese on top. Customer service is excellent. The Waiter is very pleasant and polite. Interior is also very clean and well decorated.

Very disappointing food we had a avocado on toast. Topping which resembled more butter than avocado was way too overpriced and simply appauling. The coffee was not bad but no choices in milk no soy,almond,oatmeal milk. Place was swarming with flies. For two peaces of toast and two black coffee we paid 2580 rupees which is simply too much. Save your money and go somewhere else.

A perfect lunch out with gals , and coffee Colombo was the spot. you guessed it, it went pretty awesome. first of all the ambience, relaxing and chill, specially for the current Colombo climate. We started off with the signature cone coffee. not quite artistic yet innovative. moving on to the perfect thurst buster, the nutella delish, one of my personal recommendations. and finally topped all of them with the chocolate kuchen and the pancake. me and maaa gals loved both of, litrartly finished off till the last drop of chocolate. chocolate cravings satisfied. Over all mouth watering flavors, and foodgasms. friendly staff too. One of the best places in Colombo for a coffee date.

I ordered pizza and north bound when they delivered, it was cold, curry wasn't enough in north bound. pizza was burnt. Food wasn't good at all for such a price. it was a worst cafe i have ever seen. They are providing worst food for higher rate.
