Ein sehr gut erhaltenes Bauwerk. Der Kreuzgang ist auch in der kalten Jahreszeit recht interessant. Den Innenraum kann ich nicht beurteilen, da ich während der Predigt nicht stören wollte.

Would recommend this place. Pretty church. Very nice to be able to walk and explore almost everything and every place. See pictures aswell. Obviously there are nicer churches around the world, but this one is still very much worth a visit when in Bonn.

Eine wunderschöne Kirche mit einem tollen Außengarten und einem Brunnen. Das beeindruckende Bauwerk besticht durch seine schönen Details. Der Innenraum ist exzellent gestaltet und hat eine besondere Atmosphäre. Ein Besuch dieser Kirche lohnt sich wirklich.

After three years of restoration work, the basilica is open to the public again. The reopening is accompanied by an exhibition of paintings and sculptures of the artist Tony Cragg. A sculpture of his has been installed on Remigiusplatz in Bonn some years ago.

Wunderschöne Architektur der Kirche.. Sie sieht wirklich wunderbar aus. Ich war noch nicht drinnen, aber von außen ist sie ungewöhnlich und der Eingang zur Kirche ist etwas Besonderes. Das einzige, was mich gestört hat, war, dass ein Mann vor der Kirche an der Tür stand und bettelte, indem er die Tür öffnete und schloss🙄🙄🙄

Im Zentrum, in der Fußgängerzone gelegen erstreckt sich der Bonner Münster. Von außen sehr beeindruckend. Von innen sehenswert. Bei einem Besuch der ehemaligen Hauptstadt ist ein Besuch des Banner Münster eine Pflicht.

Very beautiful cathedral. Sadly only partly accessible because of renovation works that might last untill the summer of 2019 or even longer.

Good starting point when visiting Bonn! Always filled with pedestrians and tourists. The famous Beethoven statue was erected mainly by the sponsoring Franz Liszt at Beethoven’s 75th birthday.

Mit Abstand eine der schönsten Kirchen, die ich bisher gesehen habe. Absolut lohnenswert der Besuch dieses Gotteshauses. Man möchte dort freiwillig länger verweilen, wenn da nicht die Parkgebühren wären. Interessant war am "Tag des offenen Denkmals" am 10.09.2023 auch die Gruft mit den Steinsärgen. Bezüglich des Mannes an der Türe hatte ich eine neuere Rezension gesehen, die ihn kritisiert. Für mich nicht nachvollziehbar, denn erstens ist man nicht gezwungen, ihm irgendwas zu geben und zweitens ist es mir lieber, er "arbeitet" als Türöffner für sein Geld als dass er nichts tut oder stehlen geht, etc. Daher hatte ich dem Mann etwas Kleingeld gegeben.

Huge church visible from many parts of the city still under reconstruction (the front of church and the main tower) in July 2022, however it was possible to visit the inside. The newly reconstructed interior is church typical, nothing extraordinary and as I would say there are many other prettier churches around Germany. The nave is simple, almost minimalistically decorated, painted in white and dominated by large organs. It was a bit darker inside than in other churches I have visited. The walls and ceiling at the altar were very colorful and playful, and the floor had quite a nice and unique mosaic floor. I appreciated the depiction of the Coat of arms of Germany in one of the transepts. Unfortunately no information was provided at the entrance, no guide nor any paper brochure to learn more, however a guided tour can be booked. Unfortunately I was unable to visit the cloister and crypt as the opening hours vary to the churches opening hours. Visited in July 2022.

Generalprobe aufschnappen, schön dass man dabei sein darf... Aber pssst, ja? Seid bitte absolut lautlos. Ein schöner Ort. Graustufen/ Rot gehaltene Seitenfenster haben mich fasziniert, wo gibt es das noch? Akkustik interessant, für ein Konzert tauglich. Orgelschnitzereien absolut kreativ.

Wirklich eine sehr schöne Kirche, viele Details, auch sehr schöne Gemälde, ebenso ist das Gebäude noch ziemlich intakt und wirkt ziemlich neu. Auch der Kreuzgang war sehr ansehnlich, sowohl grün als auch schön hergerichtet. Definitiv ein Sehenswürdigkeit die man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte

Peaceful and beautiful church

After very long reconstruction, at last the doors are opened. The inner garden is worth to see, entrance is the side of Tuscolo pizza.

Arrived too late to sit and take in the cloister, but the spectacular crypt made up for it; an extremely well-designed, contemporary take with sculptures throughout. Quite special. It's a dark place, but that's a given. Not sure how others are finding reason to dock stars off.

Bonn Minster is an interesting Catholic church, built between the 12th and 13th Centuries. At one point the church served as the de facto cathedral for the Archbishopric of Cologne, because it is the major church of what was then the Archbishop-Elector's residence. It is now a minor basilica.

Visited on 11/28/22. Magnificent and intimate cathedral in Bonn, Germany. Regardless of the scaffolding, the interior was majestic. Just awesome to see how this is still functioning as a church for longer than most countries have existed.

We couldn't go inside, because a renovation taking place. There is a lovely and peaceful garden outside, with some idols to admire (info only German). It's worth a visit, even now! It is one of the oldest churches in Germany!

A very beautiful Gem in The NRW region after Köln cathedral.very old a lot of great architecture,statues and paintings decorating the church. there's also mosaic on the floor and a golden Shrine for Jesus christ at the end of the church. under this shrine there's a little church for the holy mary and a tomb for saints. when you finish your tour in the church, there's a door that leads to a beautiful garden in the center of the Münster with a fountain and a memorial. a must visit.

The inner courtyard is a must visit in Bonn, it's super well kept and peaceful. So so so beautiful!

Beautiful church in the centre of Bonn, a stone's throw from the main train station. Unfortunately it's currently undergoing a three-year restoration, so can only be admired from outside.

Main church in Bonn, it's currently undergoing some repair but it's still the main focus on the square and it's steeple cam be seen from all over town.
