Even though the cottage was smaller than I anticipated, I enjoyed it thoroughly. I had everything I needed, the heating was adequate, and everything was spotless. I loved sitting in front of the large window and looking out into the garden observing the birds flying from one bird feeder to the next! The location was very close to town and had the most amazing garden. I would definitely recommend.

My husband and I, along with two friends, stayed in the ‘The Stables’, a two bedroom cottage. Throughout our five night stay, we were amazed at how thoughtfully appointed this very charming and spacious cottage was. The large bathroom, full kitchen and furnished front deck, gave the four of us plenty of room to relax and enjoy the beauty of the property, with it’s lush gardens and exotic birds. The very kind owners, George and Jane, have given attention to every detail of their cottages. From personalized provisions in the kitchen, to movies and games, we felt all the comforts of home. Clarendon Cottages is truly a destination we will be returning to again.

I stayed in the Stables Cottage the night before and the night of my wedding! The cottage was the perfect place for pictures and getting ready! Felt private and serene!! I loved the decor inside the cottage and it felt like a home !

We were in the Camellia Cottage and personally I felt it could have used a little extra decoration and more light in the room compared to the stable Cottage. Just felt a little dark vibe there. However the host was great at providing a good range of breakfast, good amenities. Very generous. There's chickens out there, lots of Strawberry plants around. Very cute.

Simply a great pleasure to stay in the Stables Cottage. Clean, cosy, comfortable and everything you could possibly want. The complimentary food and goodies provided were beyond expectation and so much so we will remember to take less provisions on our next stay. George and Jane are great hosts and will gladly assist to ensure the best possible stay for their guests.

Stayed here recently with my young family. We loved every minute. "The Stables" was a stunning and very peaceful cottage. Lots of space for my little one to run around and play, he loved the train set provided and the books. He also loved visiting the chickens and watching all the birds eating out of the bird feeder. Beds were so comfy, loved the spa bath and the breakfast provisions provided. Highly recommend and cannot wait to return. 10/10

Wonderful, cosy cottage in a lovely area. Breakfast foods were supplied in the cottage, the bed was comfortable, and it was warm despite the rainy weather outside. I especially loved the complimentary bird seed to encourage cockatoos, rosellas and king parrots to the nearby feeders.

Dovecote Cottage at Clarendon Cottages was cosy, peaceful, clean, well maintained and thoughtfully stocked with tea/coffee/etc, freshly baked bread, orange juice and even bird seed to feed the Rosellas. The only regret I have of my stay is that I did not book extra nights, as one night was not nearly enough time to enjoy the Dandenong Ranges.

A beautiful cottage to relax & unwind, we stayed in Stables Cottage. Lovely rooms, comfy beds, & a great Spa bath. Great DIY breakfast. Lovely surrounds, and close to restaurants & Puffing Billy. Highly recommended, would love to visit again!

It’s not often that something exceeds expectations, but this was the case with our stay at Clarendon Cottages. The setting is stunning and it’s close to Sassafras. the cottage was large and airy and we appreciated the extra touches that really made us feel welcome. Highly recommended.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage. My bridesmaids and I stayed in the Stables Cottage and got ready there before my wedding. The communication from George and Jane was phenomenal and they were so accomodating with all of the vendors too

Had a wonderful stay at one of Clarendon's Cottages. The cottage was beautifully furnished, super clean, the gardens were lovely and the setting was very peaceful and quiet. The hosts were very thoughtful regarding the welcome package and bottle of bubbly. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We had a delightful stay in Dovecote Cottage which was perfect for a couple. The cottage is beautifully appointed in every way. We appreciated the luxurious bathroom toiletries, fluffy towels, ultra comfortable bed and linen and the plentiful continental breakfast supplies ( all presented impeccably). The setting and gardens are peaceful with an abundance of bird life and greenery. We brought a bottle of bubbly which we enjoyed in the gardens at one of the many spots to sit and savour the surrounds. We left feeling refreshed and relaxed. It is very evident that the owners put a great deal of care and effort into ensuring their guests have the best experience possible. I highly recommend staying here and will be back in the future.

What a beautiful cottage! We stayed in Dovecote for one night and it was perfect. The view from the couch and bedroom was beautiful. And the goodies that were provided were a very nice treat - chocolate, marshmallows, tea, coffee, fresh berries, fresh bread and more. It was wonderful! We can’t wait to come back and stay for longer - we didn’t want to leave! We will definitely be back :) Thank you Chris and Gayle

My husband and I stayed at Dovecote Cottage because we had a wedding. Excellent, spotlessly clean, and attention to detail. It was wonderful coming back to a cozy, warm place late at night. It was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Definitely lovely to escape the hustle of traffic and noise. Highly recommended. Thank you for a memorable stay.

What an amazing place. My wife and I had 8 wonderful days at the Stables Cottage in July. It was pretty cold outside but toasty warm inside. Everything was perfect down to the sourdough bread bacon and eggs, cereal, salty toasted almonds, extensive flavoured espresso pods and flavoured hot drinks. The Rosellas and white cockatoos out the front window were lovely in the afternoons and the walks from the cottage delightful. So many great places to eat close by. Make sure you try the Kallista Tea Rooms, it was the surprise standout - food service and venue.

We have been so pleased with our experience at Clarendon that we have returned and stayed again. Camellia cottage is delightful, well appointed, private and peaceful. The breakfast provisions and nibbles and bubbles package were both generous. Check in is very easy. We'd highly recommend staying at Clarendon Cottages for a special stay.

We stayed in the Camellia cottage and it was perfect. It was so clean with everything provided. They even had the heater going to warm up the cottage on our arrival. It was the perfect cozy cottage. Easy to find as owners provided exact perfect instructions. Gardens were gorgeous with visits from the local birdlife. Hope to visit again very soon before the property is sold.

Couldn't of asked for a better place to stay. It had everything needed, including awesome food provisions & coffee machine for breakfast. Late check out (11am) extra bonus, especially after a beautiful wedding in Monbulk. Very accommodating and Chris looked after all our needs. Thank you, we will be back. Janelle

We stayed in the Dovecote cottage at Clarendon Cottages and it was absolutely beautiful. It had every comfort we could possibly need and so many little touches that go above and beyond what we would have expected. I stayed here with my friends recently. This cottage is absolutely gorgeous. It is a very nice size and would be beautiful to stay in during any time of the year. It has such a quaint feel to it, having evidently had beautiful interior design input. They also provided a lovely array of ammenities in the bathroom and kitchen. I would highly recommend staying here.

What a stunning place to stay. It's serene, quiet and the cleanest place we have stayed in. All the creature comforts of home are provided here. The owners have catered for everything. The lorikeets and sulfur crested cockatoos having their seed in the morning while you have breakfast is an experience. Chris has been so helpful and friendly. Making us feel right at home. Would highly recommend staying here.

A stunning stay for our 50th wedding anniversary .. the grounds are beautiful, the cottage so clean and beautifully appointed, with special extras to indulge in (chocolate, port, wine!!) ... thoughtful and helpful hosts, with information given about local places to visit. Plenty to do in the area or just a delightful place to enjoy quiet and rest. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Clarendon Cottages and hosts, Chris and Gayle. Thank you both. Can't wait till we have another opportunity to stay.

We had a lovely week at Clarendon Cottages, we stayed in Stables cottage with the 2 bedrooms. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast supplies and other goodies left for us were all of a very high standard. The cottage is in a lovely location with easy access to everything in the Dandenong range, its quiet and relaxing. We would have no problem recommending it and will stay again if we are in the area. The owners communication was excellent and very helpful.

😐 The entrees were delightful and and very tasty. However for the main the beef rump we got were really tough and full of sinew. It was really sad as we were having such a wonderful time and in an amazing garden.
