Lovely hotel with friendly staff rooms are large and comfortable the breakfast has a lovely wide variety on offer and all of a really good quality for a buffet breakfast. Im a regular visitor to the Imperial Hotel on Blackpool Promenade but have been won over by this property its cleaner the rooms are a better quality and size and the breakfast wins hands down. I also found the hotel over all a lot less noisy at night with 2 fantastic nights sleep. The baths are of a lovely size as are the shower with plenty of hot water I visited a total of 10 rooms finding them all of a similar quality so highly recommended. They have good function rooms we over 20 guests stay over and nobody had any complaint about the rooms or breakfast.

We have stayed here several times over the previous 15 years or so. The hotel in general is good, the staff are lovely and the breakfast is good. The location is great. However in all my time it’s hasn’t had any renovation and it is now showing. DO NOT ever stay in room 541. It’s awful. I cannot understand given how nice some of the other rooms are why the hotel would even offer this room out. It reminded me of a bed sit. The pictures say it all and for £176 a night! But for starts Bed was worn. No handles on wardrobes so it was like an episode of crystal maze every time I needed to open it. Dirty bathroom. And the ghost prints on the wall , had there been a crime scene in here?

5 of us all ladies of a certain age have just enjoyed a 2 day spa break at the Dalmeny. No complaints at all. For the price for bed, breakfast and evening meal plus the use of the swimming pool, jacuzzi and saunas I can't fault it. Both the evening meal and the breakfast were superb. The staff, every one of them, couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Our room, for myself and my sister, looked like it was a family room with a double and two single beds, large bathroom with double wash basins, a bath and a separate shower. The toilet was across from the bathroom. We also had a small outside sitting area with table and chairs. There were quite a few very well behaved children in the hotel. It had a very good cross section of ages from children right through to pensioners and plenty of facilities to suit all. Also, plenty of comfortable seating areas near reception plus tables and chairs in the bar where you can order a variety of drinks and food. We shall be back. X

I took my friend to this hotel for an overnight stay and to use the Spa as a birthday gift, we were very disappointed ! Firstly, the man on the front desk we felt was quite patronising, and every surface in the surrounding area was littered with used glasses and litter, some on the floor. We were then given our room key, and the room was clean but extremely dated and shabby. Later in the afternoon, we went down to the bar area and couldn't find an empty table that wasn't strewn with dirty glasses/crockery spilling over onto the floor. We left and went to Lytham for the afternoon. On our return in the evening, the bar/surrounding area was still as bad/worse than we had experienced earlier. The following morning at breakfast, the dining area was very disappointing, dirty crockery and food everywhere whilst the staff were standing chatting...it was a disgrace, we weren't even offered tea or coffee. Later in the day, we went to use the Spa facilities, which sadly were equally as bad as the rest of the hotel. The changing room floors were like a swimming pool with used towels on the bench seating and floor. The water in the pool was very murky and dirty looking, and the solarium area furniture had seen better days with some of the loungers being broken. Struggling to find somewhere comfortable to relax, we went to the seating area adjacent to the pool to sit on the sofas. There had been a child party here earlier, and the area hadn't been cleaned, very disappointing!! The only redeeming factor was the Spa staff and our treatments which were excellent

Pleasant stay. Disappointingly, the fan that I requested from reception was filthy. Lots of facilities although no option for Vegan food for main course at dinner so had to venture to the competion along the road. Great breakfast selection and tasty too.

I booked this hotel about 4 or 5 months ago for bed & breakfast to celebrate my husbands birthday and upon arriving we were booked in then made our way to our room. Upon opening the door we were greeted by 2 single beds. However when looking to the left of the room saw another room which housed a double bed, armchairs etc, couldn't believe we'd been given a family room and while a little bare we had so much room. The balcony was a little grubby and the internal doors appeared to be peeling on the edges. Unfortunately we weren't replenished with coffee or milk and the room hadn't been tidied or even touched while we were out. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful the breakfasts were help yourself so weren't hot just warm. We would return hoping the little gripes had been addressed and that would be lovely and even worth 5 stars, maybe...

Had a wonderful day at the spa, the manager was wonderful and also the therapist I had, Ellie was just amazing. If you go, definitely ask for Ellie! Facilities were lovely, was there for a hen do and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Was just an all round lovely day at a lovely place. Will be returning for another day or even book a night.

Booked as a last minute family trip and was impressed from booking to arrival. Regular and relevant communication from hotel staff providing helpful information in preparation for our stay. On arrival, parking was difficult (needed wheelchair access) and had to temporarily park over two spaces. Male receptionist was arrogant, unfriendly and unhelpful over parking and room allocation. Thankfully two female receptionist came to our aid, diffused the situation and pleasantly sorted our booking. From then on we were impressed- although a 3 star hotel the facilities for a family are excellent with lots of activities and friendly team. Food was great, exceeded our expectations for a DBB booking - only three meals with an appropriate supplement, children's meals were above expectations and all portions were generous and good quality. Breakfast was great. So, lovely staff, great entertainment, happy children - we will be back.

Perfect quiet relaxing hotel! Very enjoyable stay with a lovely pool and facilities. Clean, spacious room with comfy beds (sleeps 4 room) with a balcony overlooking the front. Plenty of parking available too. Bar had entertainment on and restaurant downstairs. Great service from all staff from the lady who checked us in, staff working in the spa and pool and the staff working at breakfast.

Great service, very pleasant and helpful staff. Lovely BIG room with a balcony, making the most of the good weather. On suit bath and walk in shower with separate toilet. Breakfast tray delivered by room service was a treat. We will return.

Very tired throughout the hotel, in need of an update!! A good location that could be a great place to stay. Could have gone abroad for a lot less than what we paid to stay here, very disappointed.

A seafront hotel with parking. Excellent views of the sea. Inside is a vast maze including an excellent pool and gym, bar, ... More a resort hotel. Nice breakfast. I stayed out of season for work and can't fault it. There is a nominal deposit on lockers in the pool/gym area but seems to be waived when they're not busy. Was told they hold swimming sessions for families during the day restricting access to the pool at times but was not a problem early in the morning. Will stay here again.

Went to check out the swimming pool and membership prices. Facilities looked good, staff helpful. Sadly can't pay for individual swim or membership for pool only. Would need to go for a swim three times a week to get my money's worth. Not sure I want to commit to that long term but I've not completely ruled it out. For guests staying in the hotel (from the little I saw) it seemed to provide well.

The food and service in the bar and restaurant were very good with considerate staff as we had a disabled person in our 2 family group. The pool area was good but guests chose to ignore guidance about pool and spa use. No staff intervened. Rooms and some areas of the hotel were a bit dated. Would visit again as location was great for families.

My sister and I have been visiting the Dalmeny Hotel since we were children as it gave the whole family a real vacation. My sister now takes her children and grandchildren. I have been in Australia for the past 15 yrs and am over for my birthday and Christmas. My beautiful sister thought it would be nice to stay here for my birthday as a suprise treat. The Dalmeny Hotel did not disappoint. Well organised entertainment for both children and adults, excellent food and service with friendly, polite staff. Rooms perfectly maintained by a curtious, friendly team. It was emotional at times being down memory lane, but as I said, it was not a disappointment and new, very happy memories have been made. Thank you!!!

Really enjoyed our 2 day break at the Dalmeny Hotel. Our second visit this year. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfasts are brilliant. Great position near the pier and not too far from either Lytham or Blackpool.

Been many times to the Dalmeny . My family started in the 70 s when it was quite a bit plusher than it is now. Good value for money we take our 2 Grandchildren each year have done for the last 10. The evening entertainment for families was the best we’ve seen last month. Our 11 year was made to feel comfortable enough to join in thanks to ‘Super Sarah’ along with Hannah whose the manager over entrainment…Breakfasts are fab and well organised. Thanks for a great break.

The Dalmeny is the perfect location for any event but especially weddings as you have the ceremony room overlooking the promenade, then the mezzanine for pre dinner drinks and finally the Atrium for the wedding breakfast and evening disco so no need to keep moving guests from room to room. There is also a lovely separate entrance area to the Atrium which can be decorated to your needs. The staff are all very welcoming and accommodating and go above and beyond to ensure your event runs smoothly . The food and service is outstanding and the hog roast in an evening is incredible. The DJ was amazing and kept the dance floor busy all night. Highly recommended as a venue for any event

Big TV but the money would have been better spent fixing the window... Window wouldn't close properly as the catches were both broken leading to cold air and noise. Room was quiet and clean but in need of some TLC. The mattress was clearly in need of replacement with a significant dip in the middle. Staff were polite and friendly. Breakfast was good and plentiful.

Great for families. Nice swimming pool and leisure facilities, although changing rooms could do with a lick of paint. Lots for kids to do including entertainment. Food is very nice and great sized portions. Nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Handy location close to beach and local amenities. All in all a great place to stay with children but as with many large older hotels there is some areas that could do with a refurb however in general it is a super place and we can't wait for our next visit.

Breakfast was lovely, staff were friendly and very helpful. We went for 2 nights as the children have been with their grandparents previously and loved it. The staff made them so welcome. The rooms are dated but were very clean and we had a Seaview. We will definitely return

We have visited numerous times over the years and always enjoyed our visits. The facilities are excellent for all our family and the entertainment was brilliant. The location is perfect for the beach and local amenities. The hotel is well run with friendly, welcoming staff who go the extra mile for you. We would come again next time we are visiting the area.

We stayed this weekend for an anniversary celebration. All three rooms were a good standard. Beds were comfy and plenty of space for everyone. All staff were polite and helpful at all times. Plenty of space in the hotel for everyone to be entertained. The singers on both nights were very good. Thank you . I will be returning .

Didn't stay, we attended a wedding. I have to say, the whole day was superb, from the setting to the food - which was excellent. The staff were discreet, professional, friendly, and the entire day was run impeccably by the manager. Would definitely recommend to anyone contemplating a wedding venue!

Stayed one night for our wedding anniversary. Nice room on first floor with a balcony. Room was very comfortable and clean as was the bathroom. Bedroom quite hot though even without heating on! Bar very good with modern decor and friendly staff. The staff throughout the hotel are very friendly and efficient. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Staff on both occasions excellent. A lovely stay.

Had the sea view with balcony which could do with a power wash. Apart from that the room was massive, clean and tidy. Liked the toilet was separate from the bathroom. Handy if there's a few of you. 2 sinks, a bath and a walkin shower. Shower could do with a larger head but did the job. I may sound picky but I'm not really. Great location for families and couples

Room very spacious with an internal balcony, needs the table and chair changing from the small wooden version to the plastic type we could see on other balconies. Entertainment was good. Tried for a massage n facial but they did not know what to do to book one or any booklets to view treatments other than one copy on the desk. Breakfast although good choice it was not hot enough and the coffee was only Luke warm.

5th time we have been in two years (two girls under 4, me, my wife and sometimes grandparents). Entertainment and facilities for children brilliant - the entertainment staff have always been excellent with the girls and really encourage any shy children to become involved. The entertainment staff went around the hotel and encouraged any children around to attend a craft event happening at the time in case they were unaware or unsure. They really make the effort to remember the children’s names and make a connection with them. Food very nice and plentiful, ongoing refurbishment throughout the hotel and most areas are very modern now. Just some finishing touches that are continuing but workmen are discreet and you only notice the occasional person walking through - no noise disturbance. We have booked to go again very soon and recommend it to anyone with young children.

I cannot comment on the rooms as we have not stayed but spent a spa day here. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our treatments were brilliant (facial and back massage) and we made use of the pool and saunas. The afternoon tea was fabulous although I personally would have liked a few more sandwiches and less cakes. There was a private children's party between 11am and 12.30pm which we were not informed of, we would have planned better if we'd known. A very enjoyable day!

Nice atmosphere, great for kids and clean room. Children's entertainment was brilliant. Great breakfast and lovely staff. Wish we could have stayed a few more nights. Would definitely return.

Stayed overnight for a Christmas party. First room we were given was unacceptably cold. We were able to move to a room that was properly heated without any fuss. The staff were first class throughout. Party also great fun. Food at party and at breakfast was great, we'll all be back next year.
