Worst food I have had in a green king pub had a meal yesterday. Chicken was so dry looked like it had been sitting round for a while. The steak I asked for medium it was well done the scampy mush plate greesy think it was under cooked today I had the runs but can't prove what it was. Update Funny thing following me writing the review I was asked to call the manager in comments. I did this and they were denying all so the comment was just for show not to rectify any problem

First time visiting Lord Derby with my 8 year old daughter who is very fussy. She had chicken nuggets and chips and loved it and to my delight she ate it all. I had a mix grill. Had a few of these in my time at various places but this mix grill was by far the best I've had. Everything was cooked perfectly and still sizzling when it arrived. Great friendly staff too. Ill be back but next time with the Mrs and my other children. πŸ˜‹πŸ’―πŸ‘πŸ‘

Went in at 6pm on a Sunday evening, not too busy but enough people to give a nice atmosphere. Friendly hard working staff members. There is a varied menu and our dishes were really really good and delicious, chick and mix and the Big Mexican. We stayed longer than expected because it was a nice atmosphere and ordering via the app worked really well

Popped in for a quick bite to eat and a drink. My wife and I both opted for the pie which was stunning. Absolutely loved it. Staff are great. And very dog friendly. Such a hot day and they were constantly taking dishes of water out for the dogs. Well done. Will definitely visit again if in the area. Thank you.

Just been for Sunday Lunch with my two boys .What a welcoming place. The Sunday lunch was so nice with huge potions. My boys had burgers and mixed grill. Both boys couldn't finish their food either, they was stuffed and that's saying something! Homemade roast potatoes are to die for. The staff are so nice and friendly.genuine people. We felt so at home. Lovely and toasty warm inside. Very clean and presented well. Honestly I can't say enough positives about our experience. Massive thank you to The Chef, Helen , Kyle and other bar staff. Definitely a place to go with family, will definitely be visiting again. Once again thank you to all.

Have been coming to the Lord derby a while now since we moved up to St annes. Great pub and great atmosphere. Dog friendly with a added dog menu. Food is great and variety to choose from. Outdoor area is very spacious and lovely to sit in the sun. Staff are very friendly and karaoke event on a Friday is brilliant. Will continue to come here. Thank you Emma and team xx

Cheesy chips were light on cheese initially but the kitchen rectified that for us quickly. Nice beer selection and a decent menu! Just realised I hit send before I finished writing... The staff were lovely, and really accommodating to our group which was quite large. I was pleased to find out that they have a friendship group there too which is such a nice thing! Parking is free, you've got to type in your license plate on the machine inside when you get there.

Absolutely fantastic burgers available and the rest of the food is lovely. Update: After a recent visit the fish and chips were very disappointing (very cheap and small fish) and the mushy peas were more puree than mush 😐 The burger was still nice though.

More a sports bar Greene king type place ,great sports bar with food drink is pricey esp the wine 🍷 but good at what it does service was prompt the San Miguel very nice, sem to have got rid 9fctge parking area,in lieu of run down trampoline areas and run down gondola kids swing rides ...advice clean it up get the car park back and lose the small caravan with advertising on, not the best look but inside staff fine and good service ..lots of tvs with sport on one of only a few sports bars in the area .

We went in a big group and found something to everyone’s liking. Big menu, Lots of different options including veggie ones. Portions were really big nd the food fresh and tasty. We had one of the sharer platters, the fondue one. Simply Delicious and huge, we almost couldn’t finish it.we also had the chicken wings, Cajun salt. Beat ever. Can’t recommend highly enough.

The place was super busy. They are really dog friendly. We tried the other greene King restaurant in town first but they'd run out of most dishes. I'm glad we swapped places because although it was busy the food and service were worth it. Really friendly staff. There was an item unavailable and they were so patient whilst I chose something else. The food was well cooked and PIPING hot. Considering how busy it was nothing was compromised. The place looked a little tired but the footfall probably is the reason for that. We will be back, now knowing what they have to offer!

Lovely pub, can get very busy on bank holidays. We had food, it was good pub grub, it has a varied enough menu for a quick lunch. The staff did warn of a delay of around an hour but this was acceptable as the pub was extremely busy (inside and outside) the toilets could do with updating but overall a good visit.

I go to the derby often with my partner and brother for food and sometimes drinks, we aren't "local" as in a walk down the road but I'd rather travel the 10 mins extra here than go anywhere else! Today we went in for some lunch and it was packed with people, the staff were rushed off their feet but still smiling and chatting away (as someone who works in hospitality too I completely understand how stressful it is!) We sat at table 2 and ordered a starter and 3 mains, the wait was definitely not as long as they had previously said and the lovely chef bought our garlic bread to the table (I'm not sure of his name but he was young and dark haired) told us our mains would be ready as quickly as he could, We weren't in any rush whatsoever and happy to wait as long as it took for him, the girl who bought our food over (girl with a ponytail) Was really polite and attentive. Considering how busy they were there were constantly staff clearing tables (a man and the same young girl) and keeping the place consistently tidy! I didn't see the line at the bar go down once In our visit and I was impressed at how level headed the bar staff were!! Thank you for a lovely meal 🫢 Visited 4/12/23 Still 5/5 service and food, the lad who served us was really attentive and helpful offered coffee and dessert, relaxing atmosphere and happy staff. Thanks!

Helpful staff, very accommodating to my limited diet, love that they're dog friendly with dog meal deals too, brilliant! Rump steak for the dog what a great idea. My son had the mixed grill, and it was loads, the only complaint was the plate needed to be bigger to be able to get at the meat! πŸ˜‹

A very dog friendly pub, small range of cask beer, and then a normal range of other drinks. A green king pub. Food menu, and a doggy food menu!!

Following a short visit to Lytham, my close friend and I drove to Lytham St Annes for improved food options that included a veggie selection. As such, we visited the Lord Derby today and we were both highly impressed with the customer service and the menu options. Over the last few months, we have eaten at eateries all over the northwest on day trips and days out to various towns and cities. My friend had the Hunters Chicken, which, apart from the bland peas (which she spiced up using ingredients from her plate) and a rather (missing in action) bacon, her was cooked perfectly. I, on the other hand, selected the Spicy Vegan Skewer. Initially concerned about the addition of the pineapple, I was more than pleasantly surprised, and the overall flavours of the dish were culinary explosion, and by far the best veggie dish I have eaten in many establishments over the last few months. We ordered a separate portion of "Chip Shop Curried chips" which although okay, reminded us (we are both children of the 60's) of Vesta frozen food curries of the 1970's! Overall, great food, great service and great choice, and as dog lovers, delighted that dogs are not only permitted entry, but even have their own menus selection.

We have been here several times, always had a warm welcome from the staff. Food is excellent along with a good selection of beers and wines at great prices. Live music some afternoons and weekends along with karaoke and sports TV. Would recommend you try this venue, it's a must.

Time for a quick update to my first review and a follow up to a reply from the owner and I'm sad to say I can't give a 5 star review and it's barely made 1 star! Called here at around 2212 on a Sunday evening fully expecting to be able to get a drink, but we're were met by a 'We're closed' - bearing in mind the stated opening hours had just been updated to state open until 2300hrs, I was somewhat taken aback. The place was well lit and there were other people in the pub. This is not what I've come to expect from Greene King establishment. I fully appreciate the right to refuse service, but don't advertise one thing and do another. Im afraid to say we will not be back here in a hurry. Called here on a Saturday afternoon, mid January. Was very busy and the the staff seemed to be rushed off their feet. When I did get served, was friendly and helpful, a real credit under the circumstances. Ample outside seating available, inside was a different story. Overall, the place was clean and tidy, I'd have given 4 stars, but for the lack of mask wearing by the customers at the bar area and also that we were served a a drink in a glass that was badly water marked/strained/lipstick marked, fortunately I was able to drink from the bottle rather than rejoin the queue for the bar! The pub is dog friendly in most areas. Prices aren't out of the way.

Top food as always - for me I always get the 16oz steak medium raw and it’s mint - service is pretty prompt depending on how many are in but must admin doesn’t feel to long ( just right for me) staff are engaging and friendly - always smiling which makes visiting here a pleasure πŸ‘πŸ»
