Been here before but yesterday was our first time eating here and I can say certainly won’t be going back to eat any time soon! It was a weekend so more catered towards carvery but we just wanted a light lunch so ordered off the separate menu and kids menu. I found it strange that you couldn’t get chips with the kids meals and was told could go help ourselves to roast or mash from the carvery been to a few carverys and kids meals have aways come with chips….anyway ordered food for 3 children 2 adult my daughter ordered a chicken burger below is a picture of what she received 😡 putting 3 chicken nugget on a bap I would not certainly not class as a chicken burger!! all of the food was lukewarm….I order a gammon and turkey ciabatta which when arrive was cold didn’t enjoy one bit of the meal and the service wasn’t the best either not a great experience at all!!

Whenever we visit St Anne's we have a meal here. It's good food and with the vouchers it's excellent value. Polite staff and clean. It's usually busy but efficient. Nice atmosphere too.

This place I normally regard as the best Toby Carvery in the North West. Cannot believe how busy it was on our last visit. An hour wait for a table inside....but you can sit outside. Thought great....err no not a good idea...very very busy queued for 1/2 an hour. Don't think they should be allowing any outside seating. My wife's turn when i got back to the bench....35 minutes later she reappeared with her meal. Because it was so busy standards dropped...soggy Yorkshire puds.. hard roasties .. you've let yourselves down. Prefer quality.... should have walked away. My favourite Toby... even travelled over 50 miles in the past for this at St annes...today very disappointing😖

Visited on a Sunday, we paid the Sunday premium £12.50 each. We were expecting a better choice, Lamb etc. When we went to collect our meal, No Lamb left and very little other meats. We were given a small amount of meat and told the reason was it had been busy and they are not allowed to cook more meat in advance, in case of wastage. On a better note, the veg was great and plenty of it. I did make my feelings known to staff, but they weren't interested and sarcastic. Toby Carvery used to be so much better, but recently our experiences have been similar. I think it's time for us to stop visiting chain restaurants.

Good family venue, free car park, kiddies play area, and an excellent choice of food and drinks. Staff were great and happy to assist their customers.

We went with the family for father's day and I was utterly shocked at the portions of meat. While we queued I watched the staff expertly shave slices of meat so thin you could basically see through them. As it's a carvery and the roast is basically all they offer I'd expect them to be good at it; it's not even competitive compared to restaurants. Would have given one star but the young staff were very helpful and polite. I will not be visiting here or any other Toby Carvery again.

Not my first visit here. Called here on a Tuesday afternoon around midday. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Fast service from start to finish. All the meats were well cooked and very tasty. Good range of veg available and very well cooked. Ample parking available, but remember to enter your registration number to park for free. Highly recommended.

We go there for breakfasts quite often. And for the price, quality and amount you can eat, you can't beat it. Everything is so tasty. The only small complaint is, you're always waiting for eggs. They really aren't quick enough with the eggs. When they do bring out eggs, they bring only about 6, which are gone almost instantly, and then you are waiting for eggs. Other than that, it's friendly, great price and tasty.

We live locally and had booked in for a meal. We have been quite a few times over the years. We were waited on by a young man called PAUL. He was polite, attentive, answered our questions and looked after us throughout our stay. We had a great meal and excellent value for money...as always. .

This is a friendly, welcoming carvery restaurant which offers absolutely incredible value-for-money. We were hugely impressed! The staff whom we met perfectly strike that balance between being friendly and yet not being over-familiar and intrusive. The service was amazingly quick and efficient despite the place being quite busy. Patrons enjoy three hours of free parking simply by keying in their vehicle reg. upon a touch-screen within the building.

Very polite staff. Slight wait to get in and be seated but it is very worth it. The food is fairly priced and affordable compared to other establishments. Drinks are a little pricey but there is a good selection. Good location. Overall a very nice place to have a very nice meal. P.S the carvery is top quality with many meats to choose from

Salters Wharf is our go to restaurant, for carvery. Easy to book online, a friendly accommodating welcome, excellent communication and customer service. Pleased to say all the staff are polite. One chef, we see regularly, is delightful. Working under pressure, tolerating the normal high temperature of kitchen life, he gauges the customers well and uses his humour in what I would say is a measured manner, sensing boundaries and playing his part in creating a wonderful dining experience. The waiting on staff are very pleasant and hardly ever seem flustered, even when it’s non stop busy. Well done to all the team , management too, for creating a good working atmosphere for their staff.

The veg on the carvers was dry as a bone and cold. The meat was cut so thin you could see through it. The cheese sandwich was even worse dried out grated cheese on very substandard ciabatta and so much chutney it was uneatable, the drinks were good though we had to find the fill station as the waitress put the glasses on the table and walked away without a word

Visited here on Saturday 13th May. Called in on the off chance of getting a table, even though it was a gloriously sunny day and the place was very busy. Got served very quickly, plenty of seats on the inside, as it's a very spacious venue. We both opted for the carvery, and whilst the turkey and pork were both very tasty, my date had the beef which was extremely fatty, and in our opinion should not have been offered to diners. Apart from that, it was a lovely experience and would definitely recommend.

Very busy on a Friday evening but brilliant food,we ordered from the menu( not the carvery) the ciabatta was lovely and soft and was packed with turkey, gammon and salad with a bowl of salad 🥗 for £5.49 a great price. All the staff where friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place for a meal for family and friends

By beach plenty of outdoor seating and fantastic carvery what not to love and good size carpark and lots for kids to do

Very clean and tidy. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. This place runs on a ticket system so before you go to the carvery you need a ticket from your server. The meat was lovely, even the turkey which can be dry was juicy. The food was hot and fresh. Will definitely return.

We found our waitress 'Mitilda' was polite and caring. She served us, and she went out of her way to make sure we were happy. It was pleasant to be served by this young lady. We are in the opinion that she carries the flag for Toby Carvery. Thank you.

Very busy little establishment , visited on a Sunday on the hunt for decent roast dinner that I didn’t have to slave over making or wash up afterwards. Toby didn’t disappoint ! Had to wait an hour or so for a table to be available note to self book a table on line before you get there ! Sat in the bar area and had a quiet drink while waiting £6.00 for a pint of beer and fresh orange with soda . Place seemed clean enough and welcoming but staff seemed a bit overworked maybe they are recruiting ? Tables took awhile to be cleared of used glasses . Food was hot choice of meats four in-fact beef chicken gammon & lamb good choice of veg and the usual roast accompaniment . All fresh I suspect with the high turnover the kitchen we’re on the ball . Plenty on the menu if you didn’t want the roast offerings and a decent sweet selection. Nice outside space to sit and watch the sunset over the coast should you wish all in all nice place to visit with decent food . Full roast was priced at £14.99 pp but £11.99 I think during the week , but if you download the Toby app plenty of deals to be had .

Toby Carvery varies place to place. The other in Blackpool is often unavailable or runs out of food - a sign of success perhaps. I have visited TC at Salters Wharf with my family a few times, and taken a few take-out roasts home from here. The front of house staff grace customers with friendly service, and the food is more satisfying than my own amateur cooking. However, our attempts to secure a booking for ten this December holiday transformed into a frustrating spectacle of miscommunication and managerial mishap. Initially confirmed without any need of a deposit, my wife received an abrupt phone call contradicting prior assurances. A harbinger of festive doom, he demanded a deposit payment with all the warmth of a Siberian Winter. Attempting to resolve the matter in person, she was told by staff at the counters that no payment was expected in advance, the same confirmed when placing the pre-order online - "0.00 to pay" it shone back in a hollow promise. With over two weeks to go, she was later contacted by the same stern man demanding £600 upfront, speaking at her like she'd committed some heinous culinary crime. The call ended with a dodgy signal, leading to a cancellation email from the restaurant that same evening. The inconsistencies and unprofessionalism saved us from having to suffer frankly exorbitant pricing - far above their usual excellent value - safe to say we'll all be enjoying each other's company for dinner elsewhere this Christmas, far from this bewildering drama.

Staff brilliant went above and beyond. Husbands food excellent mine not so good. I ordered salmon and prawn en cruite. When I cut into it it was a salmon and loads of spinach. YUK. I DO NOT LIKE SPINACH. I ate salmon, never did see a prawn. Waitress couldn't understand it on collecting plates. She returned to say chef using old stock up and didn't mention so 3 stars.

First time here & we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and helpful. They had lamb as one of the meat choices. They could be a bit more generous with the amount of meat you get, but that's inflation for you. We would return if in the area again.

Unfortunately our visit wasn’t the best. The gravy was low, the sauces were low and took a while to be restocked. The lighting levels for one area was dark and we had to move. There were a number of people who were complaining about the heat in the restaurant, I was sitting in aT shirt and sweating. It wasn’t the best experience for the price we had to pay.

Amazing place. Very clean and the staff was amazing and extremely pleasant and very friendly. Food was excellent. Very decent prices. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to go for a meal at fantastic prices.

The meat was lovely. The sides had celebrated at least their first birthday. The lady who served us was very helpful and pleasant. There was no atmosphere as the place was empty. Would maybe go for a drink but would honestly never eat there again.

Excellent Carvery meal on the evening of Wednesday the 26th October, 2022. Excellent service from all the staff. Especially Matilda, who couldn't have done more for us. She was super efficient and attended to our every need. It was very busy, but she stayed calm and had a smile on her face all the time. She is a credit to you and she should be proud of herself. Well done Matilda.

HI. me and my husband had a lovely meal on the specific night and both ate everything. I was so good. We ere served by Sammi who is a very friendly lady and nothing was too much bother for her. She was so quick like a bullet. Very impressed with her and nice to have someone who seems to love her job. Keep her, don't let her go, she is an asset to your establishment. Hope to see her again in the near future when we visit St. Anne's again. Cheers and enjoy the rest of 2022 as best we all can, Mrs C O'Brien

We were greeted at the entrance by the manager and shown to our tables, where we were met by Sammi. She explained the process beautifully and in no time at all we had received our drinks order and we had ordered our meals. We also decided to have the carvery. We were served by Kyle who was friendly, chatty and efficient. The food, as ever, was delicious, we were particularly impressed by the quality of the Turkey and Gammon. The Roast Potatoes also sent down very well, its so nice that they are cooked in the fats from the meat. The puddings were also delicious - overall a very pleasant and enjoyable meal. We shall certainly come again.

Good food, excellent service. Went in on a Saturday night, the place wasn't too busy. Our server was a happy, friendly and helpful young lady,, who actually exceeded our expectations for the service she provided. The menu is a traditional English carved foods, both of the meaty and vegetarian/vegan variety. And it's nice that you can go and get Seconds,, should the first portion not have sufficed you. (We did not go back for seconds as) The portions are excellent and good value-for-money.

If it wasn't for the very good service we received I would have rated this place as a rare 1 star. As it was it gained a two because the staff were friendly and helpful. The food looked quite tasty but we were sadly mistaken. Though the chef carved us what looked like some tasty gammon, beef and pork the meat was bland. In fact all items on the carvery were tasteless. My friend said all he could taste was the salt. The dumplings were especially powdery and almost uncooked. We sat outdoors and were entertained by the friendly starlings who cheekily tried to nick stuff off our plates. Clearly not too worried about the quality of the food themselves. I thought Toby carveries had a good reputation. I was mistaken

Breakfast at the Toby, Salters Wharf, St Anne's today was excellent value for money (£15 for two people including coffee). No need to overload your plate as you may return to the breakfast buffet as many times as you like with clean hot plates on offer each time. The food was well cooked and very tasty.

Had a great breakfast with friends at this pub, when you pay for it you can go up for drink refills and breakfast refills as much as you like, not that you would want to as the breakfast is very filling, plus toast sets you up for the day. Good car park outside the pub, which is pay and display...but if you are using the pub for a meal you can put in your vehicle reg in a console inside the pub which gives you 3 hours. Staff are friendly and helpful. So if on holiday in St Anne's and you want a decent breakfast try here..

A nice place to stop for a drink on a hot day :-) Staff very friendly. Also (separately) tried breakfast here (staying locally) and it was enjoyable. Unlimited soft drinks include full fat Pepsi. Tables were clean etc. and not too busy and a reasonable price.

Nice big pub restaurant carvery. I paid extra for more meat and bigger plate didn't get any more meat than my partner who had standard plate when I mentioned it I was told I got two sausages and extra Yorkshire which I didn't have and bigger plate so wouldn't pay extra again. Food was okay and tasty but my beef was inedible as it was the end of the joint I ask a young waitress if she could get me another piece she said she would ask after three times of asking she deliberately ignored me she come back with its all the same joint even though I protested it was the last of it she had a real attitude problem . Yet the young lad who took our order and got us drinks was brill and couldn't do enough for us even though he was busy. Easy parking and it's free if you give your reg when entering.

I only had a quick beer so can't comment on the carvery, it was busy enough for people eating. Nice to sit out in the sun there..
