Cheap ingredients , over priced food , you will need a minimum of £10 per person to get properly fed , avoid , you will not leave there feeling un satisfied, and the fact they only want cash says some tax issues , avoid !!!!

It’s shame because I’ve been coming here for the last 3 years on and off and it used to be one of my favourite places . After my last visit I will never be returning , this place has really gone down hill . The big bald guy at the front ( I think is the boss ) always looks really angry and miserable . On our last visit me and my friend sat in there and had lunch . We were in there for 30 mins and dealt with 4 different members of staff and not even 1 of them smiled at us not even once . The food portions have gone smaller than what they used to be , the food quality has gone down . Don’t get me wrong this place has always had a premium price however you don’t mind paying a bit extra of you feel your getting good quality food . After my last visit I felt robbed , the overall effort that they take into preparing your food has done down hill , warm tuna with no sweet corn ? Warm salad in the middle of summer ? Warm coleslaw? Really small jacket potatoes?? Nothing like how it used to be . I will never be returning and advise every to avoid this place as they are just taking advantage and ripping people off .

We visit regularly - at least once or twice a month - and the food and service is always excellent. Freshly cooked, good portions and great value. Photo is set breakfast 3.

This place is amazing. I love their breakfast and the staff is very friendly. Please support them as they work extremely hard. The lady who works there is extremely helpful and beautiful. Good luck

For £2.30 they was one of the best bacon rolls I have had in a long time, staff are friendly too, update: don't have one on a Monday morning as the rolls are from the week before and are stale, so now marked down from 4 🌟 to 2 🌟 😔

First visit here today with my partner, father in law, and son... Was very impressed. A great selection of food, very generous portion sizes, lovely salads and tasty kebabs. Couldn't fault the place and will definitely return to try more. One of the better cafe style kebab restaurants. Staff are very friendly too. Highly recommended.

I have eaten breakfast at the Golden Cafe twice recently. Each time food has arrived quickly and was well cooked and presented. In addition to the set breakfast options, I like the way the customer can make up their own with a number of items - and the breakfast also includes a hot drink and toast or fried bread, so is very good value. Coffee is pretty decent too

Took the Mrs for brekkie on Sunday . Once sitting down and comfy I couldn't get over what a lovely clean cafe . All the staff had uniform shirts and was made welcome with menu . I had brekkie and she had small brekkie . Tea and coffe came with good toast and brekkie came shortly after . Food was delicious and not greasy at all . Cooked to order . Highly recommend a visit . 10/10

Great jacket potatoes, good portions for hungry cyclists. Would have like an egg mayo sandwich or a fafal wrap but waitress didn't understand but hopefully she will get to grips with the menu. Generally a good experience and seemed popular with locals which is always good.

Came to take our son Scott for brunch he is at Royal Holloway and he recommended this family owed diner. Staff were very attentive, big smiles and the full English with bubble and squeak absolutly fantastic and very well priced. Great cafe and we will be back!

This is one of the best all-day breakfast cafes I have ever visited. The service was very fast, the cafe was clean, bright and presentable, Staff were all friendly and attentive, the menu variety was broad, pricing was fair and food was tasty and well-cooked. There were plenty of staff working when I visited and I felt the team working here were busy but not overworked, which is the right balance. Other breakfast cafes should take note of how Golden Cafe runs.

It was the best breakfast I've ever had in my life, while drinking coffee, I felt like I had taken a sweet stroll in the amazon forests. It was absolutely magnificent. The service was very professional and they are 200% successful in hygiene. Those who don't try lose a lot. The staff is friendly and warm-blooded. The decor of the place takes you on a little time travel, it is a very nostalgic place. It's amazing, I'm mesmerized.

Food is probably good here, but I'll never know as upon ordering and asking for a glass of tap water for my daughter I was told "No, we don't do tap water, only bottled". When I questioned it I was told that the "tap water isn't drinkable" and then when I asked what they use to put in their tea & coffee machines was told that "that water comes from a different supply" - "Ok, cancel my breakfast, you can keep it" - Will take my business elsewhere.

Ordered from here on UberEats. Food came very quickly and piping hot. Breakfast options were delicious. They forgot the drinks but very quickly re-delivered and issued a refund! They went above and beyond to fix the mistake. Could not be happier with the service. Thank you!

lovely family vibe. Everyone very welcoming. Food great, good sized dishes for all. Restaurant clean and nice atmosphere. They only take cash though which was a surprise. Just as well the wallet had cash in it! Come on guys, its 2022. Get a Sum up or izettle like everyone else and start taking cards. Otherwise, fabulous and highly recommended!
