Came for breakfast and was very happy with everything. Friendly staff, great food and the price is very reasonable. Will definitely return to try dinner.

Visited the Kingfisher yesterday afternoon for lunch with a friend and I have to say, our waiter Liam gave us amazing customer service. He was welcoming, polite, attentive to our needs and ensured we left happy. The fact that he had a sense of humour was a bonus. He was a good communicator, to the point he sold the place to us to where we plan to return. My friend was recommended the scampi dish as a starter, which he had never tasted before and he loved it. Our main meals were amazing. We just felt for a rack of lamb, there should have been a bit more on the plate. For our dessert we had the apple and blueberry crumble with custard, which was delicious. A big thank you to Liam and the rest of the staff, including the chefs, for making our visit a memorable one.

Lovely love gastropub. First went here over a decade ago and it wasn’t as nice as now although it wasn’t quite rough and ready then. Now though, it’s looking quite nice and the food was amazing!! Hake was delicious just under £19. Lamb shank just under £27. We had a starter or squid and mushroom and 2 pots of tea. With 10% tip it came to just over £76. Is that reasonable? Yes for its delicious food. Except the lamb shank. Quite dry and over cooked- like lunch leftover. Service was super professional. Parking is free. View of river Thames is a bonus. Give it a go!

Friendly staff, nice location and good food. There's plenty of parking, the food portions are generous and very tasty. It was very busy so I'm glad we made a booking. We'd definitely good back as we couldn't fault it.

We arrived and was put on a table near the bar and kitchen, didn't really feel comfortable, so I asked if we could be moved, they were very accommodating and moved us to a better table. The food was outstanding!! Will definitely go back!

Was a lovely dinner, staff friendly and allowed to take our dog which was a bonus, sat outside under cover and was a really lovely time! Desserts pricey but delicious!! Plan to book again for Xmas Eve as the veggie roast was delicious! ❤️

Nice pub/restaurant located on the Thames. Food was very tasty and nicely presented. Service was excellent and the manager took time to chat with us. The restaurant has outside seating for the two days a year we have the weather for it. Good selection of beers and wines. The restaurant has a large carpark but remember to register you number plate when you get into the pub or there will be a charge for parking (free if you are using the restaurant).

Excellent food, we (3 of us) had selection of breads and olives, tomato and basil soup, chicken paté, sticky chicken, calamari in black pepper, 2 dirty burgers and apple crumble (sorry no photos). All delicious. I picked the wine, which was awful to me (Red chilean Merlot), but my godson finished it anyway. Service was fast (Thursday 22nd Feb evening) and excellent. Thank you to the very gentle young girl who took the orders and the young (to me) man looking after us (new I think)

Not a good day in the office for the Chef. We come here once a year, as my wife used to be a manager here and we visit every year, family and we always eat here. I ordered the steak salad, but it was so chewy, I had to send it back, I then had the sea bass sent to me, it was cooked badly. Skin was wet and slippery, the flesh was crispy and dry. So I didn't have a main course. Dessert came. Chocolate bomb, the sauce is supposed to melt the bomb. The sauce Was cool. So in all, I did not enjoy myself. The Staff where accommodating, helpful, apologetic and really nice. Like I said, bad day for the Chef. The front of house Staff where great. Hope its better next year.

The meals here are outstanding, popular restaurant booking advised. But you can eat in the bar side. I just turned up and was able to eat without a problem. Staff are very amenable.

Only popped in for a starter due to time restraints. Ate breaded brie, scallops, and halloumi chips (bit too salty for our taste.) First two dishes were delicious. Hope to return in the autumn when camping nearby. Have definitely put a pin in this location!

My lamb dish was delicious and visually very appealing. Brisket pie was ok. The portions are very generous. Presentation is wonderful. The service was polite and professional but didn't seem happy. I would go again. Want to try the pasta dish I spied at other tables. We sat outside which we enjoyed. If only the main road wasn't right there. But that's not the pub's fault. Interior was appealing. You can book a table online which I liked. There's free parking but I would think it'll be a problem once the the restaurant is fairly full. Not sure where one would park then.

I cannot praise the team here more highly. We had my dad’s wake here in May 2023 and all the staff were amazing and did everything they could to help us. Kate in particular was incredible and I will never forget how much effort she put in and how kind she was to me and my family. Thank you xx

A great pub and restaurant. Had Sunday lunch. Generous portions. Night before we shared a meze, delish. Well there wasn't any left. Highly recommend.

Great pub and location but the Chicken Katsu was disgusting. Cheap reformed chicken that tasted like wool. No soya sauce on the slaw. Terrible presentation. Certainly won’t have that again

The food was okay and the carpark is good. What really threw us off was the toilet (?) smell that was present in the dining area. Not sure if we'll be going back as much as the place looked nice.

Went for an evening meal with my family. We all loved the food. Great location by the side of The Thames by Chertsey Bridge. The staff were also friendly and polite. The restaurant was fully booked so we eat in the bar area, which was more then fine. Will be going back. Went back for Sunday roast. You need to book. Plenty of good food.

A group of us from work went there on 29th march. Very good service. I think everyone was pleased with their meal. I had steak and it wasn't hot enough but given we were a big party I didn't ask for another. Chips were very hot.

Lovely staff , roast looked impressive but was dry and felt it had been sat under a heat lamp for hours , potatoes rubbery and meat to dry to eat

Great food and beautiful setting by the river just a great shame the service was awful.waited 15 minutes before they took a drinks order then another 15 minutes before we got our drinks,I had to ask staff to take our order for food ( which was good ) nobody asked if we needed our drinks refilled . Shame as it was my daughters birthday and we would of stayed for desserts and made a night of it but we left after we ate .

The Kingfisher is a charming country pub/restaurant beside an 18th-century bridge in Chertsey, Surrey. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a mix of traditional and modern décor. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is excellent. The menu features a wide variety of pub food classics, as well as more creative dishes.

My partner and I had dinner here one evening after a busy day at Thorpe Park and I cannot recommend it enough. Great choice of drinks on the bar and friendly staff. Amazing food and amazing desserts!! All in a great location on the river. Would definitely visit again!

The staff are always friendly and welcoming which makes dining here a pleasure. The service was good but not rushes and we both enjoyed our Christmas dinner which was perfectly cooked, certainly one of the best we've eaten. I will definitely book here again for Christmas.

Very happy with the food and service. Vegan menu was excellent and so was the other food for the party of 6 people. Price better then most but ambience awesome. Plenty of car parking space. Recommended! Enjoy good food

Standard pub. Quite busy and noisy. Very nice staff. Important information: I didn’t eat anything. I saw photos of meals, looks very tasty. When I’ll eat in the pub, I’ll edit my opinion.

I had booked a table for 7 for the Friday evening, we where promptly seated. Our meals where delish ( ribeye, linguine and pie) and would go back another to order those! Wine was reasonably priced. Service was great, very prompt. Great atmosphere. Would recommend!

Excellent friendly welcome and service. Beautiful inside and located right by the river and bridge for an great relaximg view. The food is good but slightly over salty on all dishes but may be to others taste. A great new discovery.

Lovely setting with enjoyable background music and a welcoming atmosphere. Food overall very good, children's menue a bit underwhelming. Serving staff are polite and friendly although was waiting on service a couple of times and slight confusion with order. Would definitely return!!!

Visited her recently with family. We aren't from area but my cousin visits regularly. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Food was extremely tasty and never seen my 5 year old eat his food so fast he said it was really yummy. We will visit again when we are back in area!
