About 18 kilometers north of Sarajevo are the gentle slopes of Sarajevo Ozren, which surround the top of Crepoljsko, 1,524 meters high. This beautiful area offers visitors numerous routes for hiking, mountaineering and cycling, which are located in the middle of a dense coniferous forest. A green glade covered with colorful scents changes the perception you brought with you from the asphalt. That almost untouched beauty leaves you breathless. Crepoljsko peak area located in the north of the Sarajevo region. It is not tall, it is not attractive either, if you compare it with Visocica, Cvrsnica or Bjelasnica, but there is something. It's edges of which, intersected by numerous trails and roads, are an ideal destination for hikers, recreationists, cyclists who like to afford a nice full day tour. A mountaineering and hunting lodge is in operation in Crepoljsko. You are practically on the edge of the city, and away from the city bustle. Crepoljsko has always been a popular picnic spot for Sarajevo mountaineers and excursionists. Even today you will come across familiar, always smiling, faces. You can get to the picnic area by bike, car or minibus, but we definitely recommend that you choose an insole if you can. The very top of Crepoljsko is 1524 meters high and offers an indescribable view. You really have to see for yourself. I recommend hiking boots, rain protection equipment, sandwiches and plenty of fluids, mostly everything a one-day hiking trip may require of you. Walking in silence or talking, these heavenly landscapes, the harmony of birdsong and the sound of the breeze caressing the slopes will take your breath away. Those who decide to climb Crepoljsko peak can also enjoy the fascinating view of the landscape that surrounds Sarajevo. In Crepoljsko, nature lovers, nestled among the hills, will find a mountain lodge with a small pond, where they will be able to enjoy fresh trout, delicious homemade food and a selection of homemade brandies and juices. A green glade covered with colorful scents changes the perception you brought with you from the asphalt. That almost untouched beauty leaves you breathless. And when you see a house on a glade, the excitement will surely make your pores itch. You will not come across a single frown. The pleasure of cleanliness and excess oxygen while floating between the pines does not stop. The forest will rest you, calmness will overwhelm you, but don't relax too much, make sure you always follow the markings so that nothing will spoil your experience. If you go through Dariva, Faletić or Barica, continue towards Bukovik. If you are on a bike, you can make your adventure more interesting, so start from Dariva to the right, towards Borije: the ascent on a macadam road through rugged spring meadows and dandelion fields quite conveniently changes the monotonous ride on the asphalt road. You continue on the road to Hreša (it is possible to pour water in local households), and then towards Vučija luka, from where it is possible to go straight across the Ozren mountain plateau or to the left, towards Crepoljsko peak. When you climb Crepoljsko, you have practically mastered the demanding part of your adventure, which you will especially feel on Borije. If you want to go through a slightly shorter tour, it is possible to descend from Crepoljski to Čavljak in a short time, and then via Barice and Sedrenik to Baščaršija. It is possible to continue further, towards Bukovik, a peak ten meters higher than Crepoljsko peak. Or the desire for adrenaline can make you try what mountain biking fans will definitely not miss - enjoy the descent over the Skakavac waterfall. This tour, which partly leads through the marginal slopes of Sarajevo, is ideal for gaining fitness in the spring months or, simply, for a sudden afternoon experience of the Sarajevo mountains. Relaxing and easy hike through pine forest and highlands to get to the top. Well marked paths. Fully recommended to enjoy view and fresh air. Possible to visit improvised café places along the route, but they are opened on weekends only.

👍 It was hard to reach there especially in the winter times. Part of the road was coveted with the ice. And standard 1km of steep road to reach it will put your physical condition to the test. This was first time to visist it in the winter times i didnt expect it to be frozen. If we waited enough we...
