We’ve been here a few times and it has always been awesome! The food and beverages are fairly priced and delicious, the atmosphere is cozy, and we’ve had friendly service. And as weird as I feel saying this about an Irish pub…their chicken parm is some of the best I’ve ever had, and we were extremely impressed with the bruschetta during our last visit. Check this place out the next time you’re in Jamaica Plain, I’m sure you’ll love it!

Accommodated our large walk-in party for graduation celebrations! The staff was friendly and fun. We even went back again several days later! Highly recommend this J.P. neighborhood's O'Neill's, for atmosphere, good bar food and fond memories.

I've been here 3 times. The food is always good. The wings are crispy, and the sauces or dry rubs are flavorful. There's a decent selection of beer, but I'm surprised that they do not carry Sam Adams. The first time I went, there was a woman bartender. She made excellent drinks, was fast, and friendly. The last 2 times there was a man there. He was rude to my fiance. He started off as a good server, but we literally waited 25 minutes with empty glasses before i went over and asked for the check. He got into an argument with a homeless person who came in, and according to the homeless person, he pulled a knife on him. I did hear something being dropped when the homeless guy accused him of having a knife. I'm not going back.

Went to watch the baseball game tonight w fiance and brother poor service waited way too long to see if we wanted more drinks & server seemed annoyed when I went to place order at the bar. Been here 3 times this is my last time ...just another "unfriendly Boston bar scene" BIPOC folks go elsewhere. The one star is for the Latino cook in the basement.

The most miserable bar tender and poor service. I would give no stars if it was an option. Empty bar on a Saturday night, and the bar tender treated us like a chore.

My partner and I have lived in Jamaica Plain for over two years and were looking forward to our first experience at Eugene O'Neill's. We could not be more disappointed and disheartened with our experience. To cut the story short there was a disruptive belligerent customer at the bar who was out of line. He was screaming from the moment we entered the restaurant. But his comments went from loud and disruptive to hateful and harmful quickly. He made homophobic comments regarding that JP is getting taken over by queer folks using homophobic slurs. The bartender was quick to respond and reprimand him and threaten to kick him out, but unfortunately that was not enough to stop the customers hate speech. A queer couple immediately left the restaurant when this nonsense started. The customer then went on to harass and argue with other customers minding their own business. He screamed at another customer saying that "HE WAS NOT WHITE" because the man identified as Italian. He then went on to comment on the color of the customers skin, saying his dark not white and had such dark skin. That customer left. Next, he approached another customer minding their business "IM A BAD GUY AND ILL HURT PEOPLE LIKE YOU, YOU BETTER WATCH OUT". I informed my waiter that this customer is dangerous and really should be asked to leave. The waiter said that they would inform their manager and see what can be done. The majority of the restaurant including my partner and I left to protect our own safety. We ordered a burger and cauliflower which took way to long, over 30 minutes, to arrive to our table. We will 100% not be coming back and it was not a safe space- especially to experience hate speech on Juneteenth and pride month.

Maybe it was what we selected, but everything we picked was inedible, including drinks. Tater tots were wet and disgusting. My steak salad was also bad. The steak was medium rare yet somehow still dry AF. My margarita was bad too. Also, TV volume is unnecessarily loud during games. People weren't even loud, just the TV. It was drowning everything. Couldn't talk to the person right next to me loud.

Food is ok, tasty but typical bar food. The service was kinda slow, maybe bkz they had to schlep up & down stairs to get food from kitchen to diner. Food was kinda cold when arrived, & it ain't cheap. But bartenders are good, very friendly. Typical bar atmosphere, nothing special, but clean & well-lit
