My
partner
and
I
have
lived
in
Jamaica
Plain
for
over
two
years
and
were
looking
forward
to
our
first
experience
at
Eugene
O'Neill's.
We
could
not
be
more
disappointed
and
disheartened
with
our
experience.
To
cut
the
story
short
there
was
a
disruptive
belligerent
customer
at
the
bar
who
was
out
of
line.
He
was
screaming
from
the
moment
we
entered
the
restaurant.
But
his
comments
went
from
loud
and
disruptive
to
hateful
and
harmful
quickly.
He
made
homophobic
comments
regarding
that
JP
is
getting
taken
over
by
queer
folks
using
homophobic
slurs.
The
bartender
was
quick
to
respond
and
reprimand
him
and
threaten
to
kick
him
out,
but
unfortunately
that
was
not
enough
to
stop
the
customers
hate
speech.
A
queer
couple
immediately
left
the
restaurant
when
this
nonsense
started.
The
customer
then
went
on
to
harass
and
argue
with
other
customers
minding
their
own
business.
He
screamed
at
another
customer
saying
that
"HE
WAS
NOT
WHITE"
because
the
man
identified
as
Italian.
He
then
went
on
to
comment
on
the
color
of
the
customers
skin,
saying
his
dark
not
white
and
had
such
dark
skin.
That
customer
left.
Next,
he
approached
another
customer
minding
their
business
"IM
A
BAD
GUY
AND
ILL
HURT
PEOPLE
LIKE
YOU,
YOU
BETTER
WATCH
OUT".
I
informed
my
waiter
that
this
customer
is
dangerous
and
really
should
be
asked
to
leave.
The
waiter
said
that
they
would
inform
their
manager
and
see
what
can
be
done.
The
majority
of
the
restaurant
including
my
partner
and
I
left
to
protect
our
own
safety.
We
ordered
a
burger
and
cauliflower
which
took
way
to
long,
over
30
minutes,
to
arrive
to
our
table.
We
will
100%
not
be
coming
back
and
it
was
not
a
safe
space-
especially
to
experience
hate
speech
on
Juneteenth
and
pride
month.
