The atmosphere is amazing and we love the hotel. Alibi food taste great if you can ever get it. Basically empty, there was no manager to say or do anything. We ordered a pizza and salad that took 40 minutes and the pizza came out cold but I’ll give credit to the server she tried to reheat the pizza! Very dissatisfied service which in no way resembles the hotel. The staff in The Liberty has been the best we’ve come across!

This place thinks it's a Vegas-strip destination for billionaires, but it's located in a Marriott hotel lobby. Please, FFS. They have tons of wonderful, comfortable seating inside and out, but unfortunately it's ALL "reserved for bottle service". We were there at midnight on a Friday, and there was not a SINGLE person opting for that. The music was BLARING loud such that you couldn't hold a conversation anywhere, but there were like two wasted chicks on the dance floor. Everyone else was huddled up as far away from the speakers as they could get, struggling to hear each other. Terrible, terrible place. Could be absolutely fantastic if they'd just open up the seating, and maybe turn the music down a couple notches. I run a bar, FWIW.

The bar is tended by children and the manager has serious attitude. My table ordered a round of drinks on a slow Wednesday night. 20 minutes later my I was voted to go check up on the drinks. I politely asked the manager if our drinks were coming and he looked me the eye for a good five seconds very intensely before responding that “they’re on their way”. This place used to have professional bartenders, but now they’ve just hired college kids. Don’t go here thinking you’ll get a quick nice cocktail. Instead you’ll get a glass full of attitude. Edit: to the owner who claims there’s a labor shortage, it seems more like you have a wage shortage. Try paying your employees better and see how many people apply to work there. You charge $18 for a cocktail, maybe try passing that onto your staff.

I have never met a bouncer/doorman that was more of a douche than the one at the door on Saturday night 4/16/22. Tells us there is a 45 minute wait and a line outside when none existed at all. Place was essentially empty inside. If you like douchy, pretencious service this is your spot. I do not pretend to understand the nuances of owning and managing a club/bar however it seems like you would want to let a group of 9, mostly females into your club to spend $$, especially after being closed for 2 years due to a pandemic. What do I know though. Good luck if you choose this place to spend a night out.

Decent food! The duck far fries were really good but the service was not good. It took 30+ minutes to be able to place an order or for our server to come to the table in a 25% full restaurant. I would not recommend coming here unless you are not hungry/thirsty or you have supreme patience.

TERRIBLE customer service. My boyfriend and I really wanted to try this place. We made reservations for 7:45 for Friday night, we arrived on time and the hostess set us at our table. It was 8pm now and no one had come yet to see us, we did not even have water at our table. My boyfriend got up to alert the hostess and they said that our server will see us right away. Well, 15 more minutes passed and no one came to see us, although servers and staff members would walk by our side. I have to say that it was not too busy. We ended up leaving, of course! On the way out we notified the hostess and other staff members that were there, but there was not effort from them to change our minds or help with the situation. We have never experienced this in our lives, to sit at a table for 30 minutes without being served/noticed, so sad and disappointing. We will not come here again and we will not recommend .

Claustrophobic, hot, and noisy with overpriced drinks and unfriendly, too-cool-for-school (and all male) bartenders. Don't even ask you if you want a glass with your beer. Then my empty glass sat in front of me for a while and wasn't asked if I wanted another drink. No place to charge a phone. Not even affiliated with the hotel. Being there literally feels like being in jail.

Seems overpriced for what it offers. My cocktail came to well over $20 with the tip while the quality of the drink and the service was just about average. Another person also complained of paying $20 for a glass of ice. I hope he was speaking metaphorically. Very well located right next to Red Line though.

We had a private event there and the staff was incredible. A nice touch was the house wine selection which included a Blanc, not just the usual chardonnay. The food was excellent!

This place had lost its charm years before the pandemic but I wanted to give it one more try hoping things got better- who was I kidding. This place is horrible. We went outside on the patio and not just trashy atmosphere but there was actual trash on the floor. The service was awful and the cocktails came in half glass and pretty bad. On top of that the waitress was so rude and to be honest I try my best not to get angry at the wait staff because I understand how busy they are but not in this case.

We really enjoyed this place. I gave four stars for atmosphere because the table we were sitting at broke. The whole table top came off, But everyone was very concerned and helpful. They even gave us a round of drinks. We moved outside and enjoyed the rest of the evening.

Cute spot that transforms after 8. Came for dinner, had several apps and shared. Few vegetarian options were tasty. Drinks were scrummy. Patrons are of the trendy jagoff variety so 10 out of 10 for people watching. Excellent service.

Writing this as someone who frequented Alibi very often a good decade ago. What’s always been true: the ambiance is fun! Nice decor, very private feeling, go on a random weeknight and it’s super intimate too. The service is great, I went recently and we had a lovely server who was helpful and pleasant. The drinks have always been great—and still are. I went for a sangria with an autumn twist (cinnamon!) and it was perfectly put together. The ONLY downside (for me), is I preferred the more casual/bar menu from long ago! The current menu includes food all from Scampo, and almost everything was just too heavy! Think lots of butter, sauces, deep frying. I went with a cod/gnocchi dish, was well-made, but the heavy, creamy sauce is not sitting right with me hours later. I’d love to see more lighter fare. Maybe tapas or small dishes. It’s tough to keep things light when going out if the dishes are so rich. Definitely works for a sit-down restaurant, but for a bar/lounge it’s just a bit much.

Super cool/unique cocktail bar and history and architecture behind it is really interesting! The drinks were also delicious! We had an old fashioned, an espresso martini, and then one their seasonal drinks (Admissible In Court) and that one was honestly one of my favorite drinks I think I’ve ever had. We would definitely come back!

During my recent five-day stay at the Liberty Hotel in Boston, I had the pleasure of indulging in the remarkable cocktails at Clink. The friendly bartender suggested starting with "Your Handcuffs or Mine," which turned out to be a delightful and cleverly named concoction. The mix of flavors and presentation showcased the bartender's skill in crafting unique and tasty drinks. Another standout was the "Orange is the New Black" cocktail, which not only caught my attention with its intriguing name but also impressed my taste buds with its harmonious blend of ingredients. The balance of sweet and tangy flavors was a true delight, making it a memorable choice. What truly amazed me was the consistency of excellence across the cocktail menu. Each drink I tried demonstrated careful attention to detail and a dedication to innovative combinations. Whether I was seeking a refreshing option or something more complex and nuanced, the bartenders at Clink delivered. The fact that I found myself returning to Clink for cocktails on all five days of my stay speaks volumes about the quality and allure of their creations. It's clear that the mixologists take their craft seriously and are passionate about offering a diverse range of options to satisfy every palate. In conclusion, the cocktails at Clink in the Liberty Hotel are an absolute highlight of the experience. The friendly bartender's recommendations, the inventive names, and the outstanding flavors make it a must-visit destination for cocktail enthusiasts. If you're a guest at the Liberty Hotel, don't miss the opportunity to explore the tantalizing world of Clink's cocktails. My experience with them truly deserves a resounding five out of five stars. However I’ve given a 4 as the kitchen closed early and we couldn’t have anything to eat along with the cofktajls after 10 pm

Absolutely unique! The venue is inside a redeveloped former prison building, and the repurposed architecture is amazing. I came for drinks only, so I can't attest to the food, but the location and ambiance are top-notch!

Really interesting venue, the vibe was incredible. Was incredibly disappointed in the drinks, however. They were pretty pricey and sub-par (one that I had tasted like a grown-up version of jungle juice). The flatbread pizza was good, but wish I would have just stuck to beer instead of wasting money on disappointing cocktails!

Nice outdoor space for a Friday evening with warm weather - be sure to make a reservation, though, if you want to be outdoors. We were lucky enough to move to the outside bar when spaces opened up after starting indoors. Drinks were great, food was from Scampo, which was also great. Overall I think this is a great option to grab drinks in the Beacon Hill / West End area.

Being guests at the hotel, we decided to check out the alibi. We arrived at the bar around 9pm and were abruptly told by the bartender that our chairs would be removed in 20 minutes. What!?!? Apparently they convert this into a mini night club exactly at 10pm. We moved to a small table and stayed around to see the magical transformation. They did remove the chairs as warned. In fact, they took them out right under two elderly patrons forcing them to stand. At 10pm, the lights changed and a DJ blasted music. There was no mass entrance of club goers, but perhaps that happens much later than 10pm. To us, the bartender made you feel like an annoyance and unwelcome. I guess if we were a party of 21 year old girls, our treatment would have been quite different. The other odd part was that you cannot charge anything back to your room, so maybe it is not officially part of the liberty. In conclusion, if you're over 35 avoid and stick to the incredible bar in the lobby. It puts this to shame with the service and atmosphere. It also becomes a club later at night but they don't take seats out from under patrons.

Cocktail and atmosphere were good. Service was slloooooooooowwww. My water glass was empty and my empty cocktail glass was long cleared before the server came back. Would have loved to order a second cocktail, but service was way to slow to stay for another round.

I've been coming here off and on over the past couple of years and it's always a great time. Staff is upbeat, the front door man always seems happy to see me and is welcoming. Drinks are very good and the atmosphere is really cool. The patio in summer is the best!

I love this place and the bouncers are friendly! I bring my friends here when we want to dance the night away. The food menu is limited but I don't come here to eat so that's ok

I tagged along on my husband’s work trip so I camped out in Alibi on my own for three dinners in a row. Hailey looked after me each time and made great recommendations. Really enjoyed my time there!

I see a lot of messed up reviews but I honestly did love this place! We came in from NY, because we were spending a weekend by Salem. Drinks were pretty much NY prices but strong as hell and worth it! Music was great, loved the ambience and would definitely go back. I def recommend for a night out in Boston!

Vibe: walked into some 🔥 music by the DJ Best music I've heard here in Boston! Friendliness of the staff = loved them Drinks: delicious drinks except you can't take the hotel drinks into the club.... Like Why??? Club venue = small/tight (PS: the club didn't have Henny and hotel did) Would 100% go back tho!

Was advertised to us as a rooftop bar and it definitely isn’t so be aware of that, it’s a patio street level. Also even though we requested to sit outside when making the reservation they didn’t honor that even though there were tables open. Not a great stop to sit and chat with someone it’s kind of loud.

I had gluten free pasta that was perfectly cooked and an amazing asparagus side dish. Such a cool atmosphere! And the drinks were so fun and delicious! Would definitely recommend

I've been here plenty of times. I mean, it's expensive yes... The drinks this time contained very little alcohol, like almost none. Seriously. The male bartender that served us made a deliberate effort to NOT make eye contact with patrons. The group I was with noticed it. Then without mention of it, the next group behind us could be heard saying the same exact thing. He was in his own little world. Slowly cutting limes, and ignoring people until he was good and ready to take the next order. He had to be asked each time for service. Bizarre. I always enjoy people watching here. I received top notch customer service from Rafael! Well done.. I ordered Calamari and had them for leftovers. They were good.

I went to the restaurant on my birthday. The waitress name Perla took 15mins to come back with the change from the check. When I asked Perla about her short changing me from the check, she advised me the restaurant does not give back coins to the customers. I asked her where was my $1 she owed me. We exchanged words. She finally came back with my $1 and stated I’m not going to back and worth with you about a dollar. There was no sign anywhere at the restaurant or website indicating the restaurant does not give back change. Perla needs to learn how to count and give customers back the correct change. Perla needs to learn don’t steal from the customer and interpersonal skills. Perla needs to learn the customers always right. If she does this to every customer she encounters, she will be making a 6 figure salary.

I visit this place with my GF and seat on the bar for a drink, after 10-15min there was paddle of water on the counter top what seemed to be sewer pipe leaking not only on one spot through whole bar area… and not just leaked on the counter top it was splashing into everyone’s drinks and into the ice maker/keeper behind the bar!!!! Their manager avoiding answering our emails and our concerns! If anyone is lawyer and want to fight the case please reach out back to me! I have videos and photos! This have been late September early October issue for anyone been affected of this matter please reach out to me.

Great patio area and nice atmosphere. Being the in Liberty hotel obviously makes it memorable. Downsides are that the food menu is very limited (only pizzas, appetizers, and pasta), but what is available tastes very good.
