Came here with a last minute reservation on a weekday. It seemed like a lot of people were coming here after work for their daily dollar oysters from 5 to 7, but we were still able to snag one of their private booth seatings. The dollar oysters were very small but still good enough to satisfy our cravings. We then tried the saffron arancini and the smoked beet salad. The salad was plain, but the saffron arancini came with a palatable sauce that left us wanting for more. Standout dishes from the entrées were the lumache and the seared salmon. Spicy breadcrumbs and clams added nice textures to the lumache, and I liked that the garlic white wine sauce had a good amount of acidity which usually works well with seafood pastas. Forking a piece of salmon with a concoction of celeriac purée, shaved celery, Umbrian lentils, and pomegranate was also a transformative experience. The sweetness from the pomegranate perfectly complemented the slightly bitter and acidic taste from the shaved celery, and each bite was a sheer bliss. My only complaint was that the pistachio pesto pizza was overcooked, and it was quite difficult to bite through the bread. Otherwise, everything from the service to the food were flawless, and I would definitely come back for a casual weekday dinner with my friends or colleagues.

Excellent service, excellent outdoor seating, excellent food. Saffron Arancini, Smoked Beets, and Fried Artichokes were a great way to start the meal. Spaghetti Verde was springy and herbaceous. Perfect early summer dinner.

If there's a life where I can only eat Vialé food every day I won't even complain. I come to this place like once every two weeks this summer and their service and food are always consistently top notch. I came two weeks ago 5 minutes before 7 and the waitress quickly put my $1 oyster (which ends at 7) order to the system. Yesterday I came and tried their charcuterie board, and it was amazing. The waiter patiently explained to me and my mom about each thing on the board. And for the record, my mom didn't like oyster or sausage but somehow she just happily eats them here because she said it tastes good. Oh, yesterday was also my birthday and they put a candle on top of my dessert which was so nice of them to do. TL;DR: Delicious food, amazing service, much recommended

Had $1 oysters in the summer. They were fantastic, very fresh! The new outdoor seating is great and they had an absolutely fantastic orange wine as special at the time. The great thing about this place was that the oyster happy hour was at a decent time (Monday through Thursday from 5pm to 7pm, if I remember correctly!). Hopefully they will have the same deal this summer!

Really tasty bucatini carbonara, but that was absolutely a horrible deal. And giving individual breadsticks rather than leaving a bread bowl is also just not classy at all. For 30$ that’s really outrageous

Good food and good vibes. They customise non vegetarian dishes to make them vegetarian. We ordered tiramisu and it had cinnamon in it, which we didn’t like as much. Book in advance for big groups of people.

Cozy environment with a bunch of seafood options. The cocktails are not super strong but flavourful. The pistachio pesto pie was a unique dish (completely vegetarian) and our vegetarian friends enjoyed

Came here for the happy hour oysters and left very satisfied. Ate the most oysters I ever have (24). The arancini was also stupendous.

My husband and I decided to take a drive last Saturday and we ended up in Cambridge. We walked by Viale and figured we’d give it a try. It was amazing !! Everything we ordered was unbelievable. The oysters were phenomenal. The service was impeccable. I looked around the restaurant and noticed how many employees they had and I thought to myself they must really take good care of their employees because when you go to other restaurants all you see is shortages. There was no shortage in quality, the kindness of employees and their wonderful attitudes. This restaurant is an absolute gem! Can’t wait to go again.

Went to this restaurant for dinner and they had a good outdoor space. The service also was good and we had a particularly nice bartender/server. My only issue is with the food. I ordered a kale salad and it was hard to eat because it was not properly massaged. The bread was hard and bland. The pumpkin pasta was the best item i had but it’s something by the end i was tired of. Would not recommend for the price.

A gem! Solid cocktails, small tasty European size dishes. A modern atmosphere with classic hospitality and food. So much attention to detail from lighting to libations. We came here for a large group and they were amazing. The food, staff and vibe were just perfect.

Honestly one of the best restaurants in Cambridge! Discovered via Off the Beaten Path Food Tours food tour, we loved meeting the owners and learning about their food. We tried really fresh and delicious oysters and arancini and stayed afterwards for yummy drinks. Cool vibe and welcoming. They have awesome art there too. Can't wait to go back for brunch this weekend.

We walked around Cambridge looking for the right stop for dinner and for oysters. Viale had amazing outdoor dining. The staff and service was amazing and the food and drinks were even better!

Decent food and great vibes + service. If you’re around the area, worth to give it a try or meet up with friends here. Went on a weekly date here and when they forgot one of our apps they comped it for us which was very nice and totally not necessary because it came out immediately afterward they realized. App: Lamb Croquettes and Beet Salad Main: Rigatoni and Seafood Pasta (forgetting the exact name but basically something similar to a seafood scampi) Drinks: forget the names but both were yummy. One fruity cocktail another smoother.

Came here with a group for my birthday. I have never been here before and honestly it was a Hail Mary guess based off of the fact that they have wild boar bolognese- the traditional way they make bolognese in Tuscany. Figured if they came correct on that, they probably know what they are doing. OH. MY. GOD. I’m not joking when I say this was one of the best meals of my ENTIRE life! It’s the kind of food that when you take a bite, your soul leaves your body for a minute and you have to sit back and immerse in the sustained bliss of pure sensorial pleasure before returning to earth for another one . Our group ordered: the wild boar gnocchi, salmon crudo, saffron aroncini, local beef carpaccio, and lamb croquettes, shaved brussel sprouts, giononne chicken, amongst others. Every bite from every dish was perfection. This place is a hidden gem. Do yourself a favor and try Viale.

Ndjua Pizza was delicious, as the spiced honey add so much depth to the flavor and goes perfectly with the carmelized onions. The Carbonara was really flavorful and came in the perfect portion size. They also came around after our food came with garlic bread and olive oil, but the garlic bread was a bit hard and dry. We sat in the outdoor seats which was pretty nice. Service was attentive.

[5/5, Cambridge, MA] Stumbled into this restaurant which turned out to be a wonderful surprise. They offer their own “Restaurant Week”, a 3-course meal for $45. You can choose your own: Starters (Duck Croquette), Main/Large Plate (Grassfed Strip Steak), and Dessert (Tiramisu). We also added a seafood pasta (we forgot the name it’s called Saffron something?) but it was the BOMB. Actually, all the savory items mentioned here were fantastic. Tiramisu was not great because the cinnamon powder was overwhelming. Will definitely be back. Great food and value.

We went there for brunch with friends and our 19 month old toddler. Their service was very welcoming and they were very attentive about any needs. We had salmon crudo, pork hash, shrimp and grits, and eggs Benedict and enjoyed the food a lot. Portion sizes were good. I would definitely come back.
