Very nice, fancy night out at mistral! The service was amazing; our server was very polished and knew the menu & more like the back of his hand. The group tried all 3 flatbread pizzas & they were great! I had the halibut entree, I found it to be a little bland but I still ate it all and enjoyed it! The asparagus risotto underneath was yummy. Loved the dessert options & of course the espresso martini here too.

This is great restaurant, my husband and I truly enjoyed it. Every dish was so flavorful…especially the Truffle Macaroni, OMG! What a delicious appetizer! We also really liked the Maine Crab Ravioli. For my main dish, I ordered the Dover Sole and my husband for the Short Rib…unbelievably tasty!

Let me just get this right out of the way that this place is pricey and to go here with that expectation. I had a mushroom salad and Cornish hen. Both were outstanding and one of the best meals I’ve had. The hen in particular was a flavor explosion and extremely juicy. I took my dad who was equally impressed. The staff are very, very attentive, but not enough to be bothersome. These people are professionals. There was never a time my glass of water ever made it past halfway full before it was refilled. They even combed the tablecloth after we ate the bread they served before the appetizers came out. I rarely ever eat at fancy places so I was incredibly impressed by the experience. Yes, it is expensive but it is worth it, completely. The next time I travel to Boston this is a must go to on my list.

What an experience. Beautiful atmosphere and our server was very attentive and informative about the menu. The food was spot on. (Half whole roasted duck & wild mushroom risotto is definitely a must try.) Pan roasted prime sirloin was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed every bite and we loved it here so much. If you are looking for a 5 star restaurant in Boston, this is the one!!

This place is a hidden gem. The inside is gorgeous and the atmosphere is vibrant. Their complimentary beef and better rubs are delicious 😋 . There’s nothing negative to say and they have great customer service. For the appetizer I had their salmon tartare and the halibut and I loved it.

Remarkable food and service. I ordered the French onion soup, the half duck with a side of mashed potatoes, the three scoops of ice cream, and espresso. Complimentary bread and accompaniments were delivered to the table. A manager checked on me mid-dinner service to make sure I was happy. I've waited over 25 years to come here. Lovely menu. Formal atmosphere. The table next to me spent over $500 for a party of 3. Expect to spend over $100 per person, if getting appetizers, drinks, and desserts. Make sure to get a reservation.

Everything was perfect during this dinner. The food was amazing, there were very interesting cocktails, I didn't have dessert but people who did were delighted by them. Escargot and foie grad are something to remember. Service was constantly checking on us, keeping our glasses full and even folding our napkins.

The interior was very beautiful, and I quite enjoyed the atmosphere. But what I loved the most- the food! It was so delicious and flavorful, and the portion sizes were generous. The presentation was exquisite as well. If you are looking to treat yourself to an amazing meal, Mistral is well worth your money.

"A Must Visit restaurant". What a dining experience and the food here is Fantastic. Attentive front door, waiter, and water refill. A delicate and romantic ambient perfect for a date. I ordered the Pan Roasted Prime Sirloin "Au Proivre" with potatoes and hen of the woods, by far I would say a Supreme Steak perfectly cooked. The steak was perfectly seasoned and the sauce that came with it was amazing. My date had the Half Whole Roasted Duck and Wild Mushroom Risotto, it was outstanding. Perfectly cooked duck with incredible taste. Would love to come back to eat here.

Food If I could only use one word to describe the food, it would be phenomenal. Well, I also didn’t expect less. However, two things disappointed me. One was how strict their rules were. Many times if we ask a restaurant to make a slight modification to a dish, like making it spicier, they would be able to accommodate. However, Mistral wouldn’t. The other was we asked the bar to make a Moscow Mule even though it was not on the menu, the drink tasted like diluted alcohol with a lot of water. Everything else I loved the restaurant decor and the service.

Mistral offers a great atmosphere to enjoy a French/Mediterranean style meal in. Very cozy restaurant, large bar, and intimate dining area. Service is top notch, very attentive staff. First, you will be given warm bread, with butter and a rosemary spread; very hard not to fill up on this first. For drinks, I would recommend one of the classics, Mistral is known for several. The gimlet is a family favorite. As for appetizers, you can’t go wrong with the tuna tartar, carpaccio (beef or portobello) or the crab. As many of the entrees are on the “heavy side” we tend to order several appetizers and split them. Finally, for the mains, the steak is great, as is the short rib. In all, Mistral is a gem in Boston, although a tad overpriced for what is it. Still an great spot and worth your time.

The food was great. But the service I received wasn’t match with the price. It was a place with great decorations and nice place for a night date. I was there for my birthday. And I reserved a table for 5:30pm. I was there to waiting for my party to come. I don’t want to seat in the table waiting, so they can use the table for other customers, I chose to wait on the front in the waiting area. However the front desk receptionist was so rude and unprofessional. She told me that my party is late, and told me once my party come I must leave by 7:30 pm. My party was finally came at 6:00pm. When I was seated, I was there worried about times, not passing 7:30pm. It gave and an unpleasant moment there to spent my birthday. Also, I was accidentally hit by one of the receptionist and she didn’t say anything to me. The food was great, and I spent approximately $280 dollars there. But this place gave me an uncomfortable feeling due to the customer service I received in the front desk. But my servers were good, and I told them it was my birthday, they prepared the birthday cake to me.

Had the most wonderful and delicious time at Mistral. The food is to die for, the wine list is impressive, the cocktails are well crafted and the service is friendly and fun. Another restaurant where they have WAY too many delicious things on the menu, I plan to come back here a lot.

Food was soooooo gooooood But the service was mediocre. The wait time was insanely long even though we had a reservation and arrived on time. We waited for extra 45 min and finished super late (11pm). Tuna tartare is the best in Boston. Steak and desserts were also amazing. Do not recommend their French onion soup.

Food was absolutely delicious. The roasted duck was melting in the mouth and pared to the very creamy mushroom risotto, it created a gastronomic creamy explosion. The pan roasted steak was very tender and the sauce that glazed it made it more exquisite. The grapefruit flavor signature cocktail was absolutely delicious: a very smooth grapefruit taste followed by the liquor sting, that created a very layered taste experience. Overall this place is one of the best restaurants in Boston. And unlike other other high-end restaurants, the serving plates are quite big. Would go back 10/10.

Great place with a great atmosphere. The food is delicious and comes in good portions. The service is also great. The Tuna Tartare is one of the best things I have had in my life. The peach drink (forgot the name) is amazing as well. The place can get busy so I'd recommend setting up a reservation. There is paid street parking.

Really tasty food!! Excellent vibe. Got valet parking easily. Can’t decide if the best part of our experience here was the dessert or the service - great people. This is undeniably the place you’d want to go for special occasions. Also love that they change up their menu every now and then.

Food was amazing, portions and drinks were good as well. My sister got the $95 mac&cheese in which she was very disappointed in but loved her salmon dish. I had the Escargots and french onion soup for appetizers which was tasty and filling. Our server Hector is the best server in the world, very attentive and recommended great drinks. Thanks to previous reviews, I got the half whole roasted duck and it was delicious, probably the best I've ever had. Staff were very welcoming and I will definitely be back.

What a great place. We got to Boston for a last minute anniversary trip with no dinner plans in place and luckily grabbed one without much research. We were a bit hesitant as we never really went to a French focused restaurant and for some reason had visions of up tight atmosphere and small portions. We were definitely wrong. While we were exploring, people all reacted the same when we mentioned where we had reservations so expectations were high. There was a call to confirm the reservation and they asked if any special occasion. Mentioned it was our anniversary and they noted it down. When we got in they wished us a happy anniversary, which was a nice touch. Atmosphere was great, a very mixed demographic (across all aspects) and lively crowd in a beautiful space. Our waiter had spot on recommendations (definitely get the Cornish game hen) and service had the nice touch on dessert with a happy anniversary note. Drinks were also well made. Will definitely be back!

First time I visit this restaurant and since we arrived everything was awesome. The people are very friendly and makes you feel welcome. The food was delicious. The decor and environment is breathtaking. Will definitely come back. One of the things that we liked is that is definitely not a noisy restaurant so that's a top for us.

Reserve a table! This restaurant has a nice, dim, and posh ambiance. The service was great and the staff very friendly. The food was also very delicious. Portions were just right. High-end but you definitely taste the quality. I recommend the truffle Mac and Cheese, light, pasta had great texture, very well balanced ingredients, not over the top cheesey.

Very pleasant place, happy atmosphere, nice variety of food for a good family dinner or just a night out with colleagues/friends. Be mindful of your budget for this place, but otherwise I would recommend this restaurant for a dinner. The only recommendation I would have for the management, expand your wine menu beyond traditional French and Italian choices. I noted some Argentinian options, but there are so many emerging countries with elite wine productions these days…

My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here. Service is friendly and great! Very nice and cozy atmosphere. Good for networking or a date. Food wise, we recommend crème brûlée and the seared foie gras! The crème brûlée was just god kiss! Crispy layer of sugar and creamy inside. Not too sweet. Seared Hudson valley foie gras was deep in flavor. It is very salty so definitely save some bread for it. The appetizer bread with butter and garlic butter in oil was surprisingly good! The mushroom risotto included in the duck dish was really nice and creamy. The escargot was drenched in a soup of butter hidden in the holes of the pan. There are 6 escargot in total. But the escargot meat is pretty big. Tastes okay. But the duck is not worth the hype. Tasted like a Costco I rotisserie chicken. Definitely needs more seasoning 🧂! We were also excited to try the veal, but it was so dry :( i would describe as a really dry chicken cutlet but made with veal. Not worth the price.

Some or my top restaurant in town. The foie gras and beef tenderloin are absolutely terrific. Not to mention the huge portion. Great place to chill and have a high end but cozy dinner.

Great meal and excellent service! Food was phenomenal, I especially loved the heirloom squash soup, as it had a pot pie like pastry crust on top- very good! Atmosphere romantic and professional, would recommend for celebrating a special occasion or business dinner.

Several of the best dining experiences of my life - without exaggeration. The food is sublime - carefully and thoughtfully sourced ingredients. Excellent options for vegetarians. The wine list is diverse, lovely, and moderately priced. The staff - from the front of house - to head waiters - to bus staff - are knowledgeable, efficient, and completely unpretentious. 6 stars if possible - merci!!

Came here with my wife on our honeymoon. Was a fabulous experience from decor to the food. Note, it is an upper class restaurant so food and wine is a little pricey. However, absolutely worth it. Pictures include Halibut and Creme Brule. If you are looking to have a great dinner when in Boston, this is a great place!

Had a lovely meal here. The food was excellent, and the service was great. I highly recommend getting the roasted duck. It was beautifully prepared and the dried cranberry gastrique complemented the dish perfectly.

The perfect place for a nightcap! One of the BEST espresso martinis in Boston (has 3 chocolate covered espresso beans for ya)

Mistral never misses a beat, every time we are in Boston we eat here, we took our friends and they love it. We ordered the mussels and escargot for an appetizer which both were really good. For dinner I ordered the haddock which was pan seared over a lobster risotto that melted in your mouth. For desserts we ordered the valrhona chocolate cake which was delicious. We did not order wine this time but they do have an extensive list. The service was amazing and not rushed.

I went to Mistral for the first time with my husband for my birthday. The restaurant has beautiful decor with a modern style, and is very open and bright. Our servers were very friendly and polite. Our waiter was highly knowledgeable about the menu too, and I was very impressed that the majority of the menu could be made gluten free (I have an allergy). Each table had their own freshly baked loaf of bread too (I had freshly baked gluten free rolls, which were SO tasty!) and there was a lot of choice on the food and drinks menu. All our food tasted amazing and portion sizes were very generous too. The restaurant gave me a complimentary trio sorbet dish, with a candle in it, on a plate with “happy birthday” written in chocolate sauce too, which was a really nice little surprise. The sorbet tasted really good as well. Food prices were high, but it is expected for the experience and quality. Overall a fantastic experience. I would definitely go here again!

Very nice dinning experience, the environment is really nice and the waiter is professional. The tuna tartare is the best, so fresh.
