Room had a great view and the bed was fairly comfortable. The bathroom also had a nice mirror and a waterfall shower. Could tell some areas hadn't been cleaned well in a long time (crumbs and grime), and there was no microwave in our room which is weird for a 4 star hotel in my opinion. If you're sensitive to dryness and staying for more than a day or two, bring a portable diffuser or humidifier. My room was incredibly dry to the point that both my roommate and I would wake up with coughing fits. The food and access to other areas of downtown Boston is great, but be prepared for food and drink to be on the higher side of a price range. Most of the restaurants and bars are expensive. The Birch down in the lobby had good food, drinks were hit or miss and overpriced for what you were getting. The pub restaurant has a great chowder and chopped salad that I highly recommend.

As much as we paid to stay here, we were beyond disappointed at the level of service that we received. For a 4 star hotel, we would hope to be treated like paying guests. Wrong, we were treated as though we were lucky to have been able to stay there as if we didn’t just shell out thousands for the 4 nights. Every front desk person that we dealt with were unpleasant. Especially, the lady with the short hair..I don’t expect anyone to jump up and down when I walk up to your desk but a nice greeting would be sufficient.. Asked for a crib which never showed and our room was only visited one time by housekeeper throughout our 5 days/4 nights stay. 2 stars is for the sweet wait staff during breakfast.

Due to a heavy snow storm, I had to cancel my reservation same day. However the customer service by Dianne was amazing! She was completely understanding & made it easy to arrange that. Most hotel chains would want that dollar but she reminded me why I chose Marriott.

Stayed here because of its proximity to the Convention Center. Didn't know they actually had a bridge and that I didn't have to step foot outside. From check in to check out, all staff were warm and friendly. Got a very nice room with a view of the convention center, clean and comfortable. Check in person, did not get his name, had a British or Australian accent was super nice and helpful, wish I got his name, but he was great. Tried food at the pub, bar and breakfast restaurant. All food was tasty and fresh and the breakfast buffet was more than adequate. Got a voucher for breakfast, which I was not expecting, nice surprise . All wait staff were very pleasant and attentive, especially James in the pub. All in all a very pleasant experience and I would defiantly stay here again when I return for future conventions. If I had to list one negative it is that I needed to get water and they have a filtered water machine and Ice machine down the hall, but I did not see a pitcher in my room, just plastic cups. But I'm nitpicking now. Great place to stay and very reasonably priced

I really enjoyed this hotel! The foyer was super nice and stocked with bars, a shop, a starbucks and a breakfast space. It had several big conference rooms that served the purpose for our meeting, and the lunch they served for us was always tasty! The rooms were very standard though. Like always there was an old carpet on the floor, and the bathroom had a shower curtain instead of glass, etc. Not bad, just basic. I will say that the bed was extremely comfortable though! Overall the hotel was really good, just needed some updating in the rooms for it to really become that 5-star experience.

Our stay could’ve been better. The rooms were nice but our stay could’ve been better. The fire alarm malfunctioned and went off twice early in the morning. The pool and whirlpool needs serious updating. It looks like they made a homemade pool liner and it was patched together. Total rig job. The whirlpool was the same way but with mildew. Parking was not included but should’ve only been $44 a night however the parking garage was “full” everyday so we had to pay $54 per night for valet. Additionally I bought a few bottles of water from the gift shop at $7 a pop! It did help that they give you a $25 voucher per night for the restaurants. After you pay all the fees and taxes and parking it ends up being over $100 more a night than the nightly rate. Not sure if I would return, there are a lot more options in the area.

I stayed here for a conference right there in the adjacent conference center, and for that goal, the hotel was great. There is a hallway one can take that connects the hotel to the conference center, so everything is quite smooth. The hotel also has a couple of limited-but-ok lunch eating options inside (with a bar) and a Starbucks. The rooms were quite spacious, TV was modern, cleaning service was prompt, staff was nice and friendly. The surrounding area is going through a renovation and it is looking quite nice, with plenty of shops and restaurants. It is only a 15-min bus ride from the airport, so quite convenient. The hotel is on the expensive side, though. Overall, a good option (if you can afford it) when going to a conference in that center.

We had early check in and the room was clearly not clean when we got there. Smudges on the mirror, not nicely made bed, blinds were half shut. Didn’t have time to notify the front desk as we needed to start our day. Then, overnight the alarm clock went off at 4:30 am - clearly from the previous guest and the staff had not reset the clock. We let the front desk know of our experience during check out to which she replied “okay, do you want the manager?”. No apology or sincerity. Then, she proceeded to email us our invoice 5x in a passive aggressive manner. To top it all off, when we were leaving the parking garage we were told we hadn’t paid for parking (we had) and the parking garage attendant was rude and charged us again. Will not stay here again! Stay elsewhere, rude staff!

Conveniently located adjacent to Boston Convention center. Spacious, clean, updated rooms. Nice views. Very comfortable beds and pillows. In room safe and refrigerator. Bathroom has blow-dryer and magnifying mirror, and good lighting. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The lobby is large with lots of places to relax and enjoy a cocktail and watch one of the biggest TVS I've ever seen. There is an Irish Pub and Starbucks in lobby. Be prepared to wait on line for the Starbucks, the coffee is worth the wait. There is a garage with self or valet parking for a charge.

Nice hotel. Person checking us in might have been asleep during the process as he didn't show any emotion or look at us but otherwise checking in was smooth. Room was very nice. Go to the concierge and get a $25.00 coupon for Starbucks. You'll need it because it's the most expensive Starbucks I've ever seen (which is saying a lot). Also a $20.00 coupon for the restaurant. We didn't eat dinner there but were able to use it for a free appetizer. You can also get free passes to the contemporary museum across the street. Parking is $44/day. Great location. Would stay again.

Overall a pretty comfortable hotel. It has a large lobby with a bar area and a restaurant open for breakfast each morning. The location is a bit outside the downtown area - about a 15 minute walk to South Station and 25 mins walk to Boston Commons. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The hotel definitely is showing signs of aging and a there were a number of detractors from making it a luxury experience: -Tattered and old towels in the bathroom with cheap amenities. -Night table drawer was sticky and the inside of the drawer was dirty. - Soundproofing was poor and I could hear noise from adjacent rooms and hallways as well as the room above me all day and night. The housekeeping staff were also talking very loudly in the hallways early in the morning and that could be heard very easily inside the rooms. - Breakfast was included as an Elite benefit but was about a 20 minute wait each morning due to the limited space available. The voucher entitled you to a buffet breakfast or $30/person towards items off the menu. Both mornings I had to ask about ordering off the menu since it was not offered and I was almost discouraged from doing so. There are no prices listed for items like coffee, tea, and juice, and an automatic gratuity was added to the already exorbitant prices resulting in $60 not being enough to cover a regular breakfast for 2. - There is a predatory $25/night "destination fee" and in return you get a voucher for food/drinks at the hotel. Of course, alcohol is not included. Most of the guests choose to redeem this at the on-site Starbucks, so you will see a long line every morning that will take away 25-30 minutes of your day to take advantage of this heavily restricted "benefit". Even at Starbucks you are limited to specific items and drinks.

My husband and I planned to stay here for a conference at the convention center in January. The rooms were released in September and we booked a room with a king bed immediately. We arrive late Thursday night, the parking at the hotel was full so we had to go park in city parking ($100 later… annoying but whatever). I go check in and get to the room and there is a very small Murphy bed in the room. We immediately bring our things back to the desk as we assumed there was a mistake and they inform us that there is absolutely no other room for them to put us in. Come to find out we have friends who booked 2 days before when a bunch of rooms mysteriously opened up and had a real bed in their room. I then speak to the manager who says he will give us a half priced rate and that's the best they can do. They overbook the hotel and don't make it right. The convenience of it being attached to the convention center is nice but at what cost.

This hotel is one of my Boston favorites. They have a beautiful lobby great for hosting pre-dinner cocktails and has plenty of rooms to accommodate large groups. When you first enter, there is a TV that takes up the entire wall. The service is amazing and the staff is always accommodating. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom is always spotless and has great products mounted right in the shower. It's close to many new bars and restaurants on the seaport and is just minutes from downtown Boston. I highly recommend giving it a chance.

My family and I stayed in the hotel for 2 days last July 23, 2022. The Hotel is nice and the staffs are great as well. Sofia, a staff who is working at the Sauciety Restaurant was very accommodating and really made sure that we are comfortable and having blast. Regarding our room, we had to switch rooms on the same day as there were bugs (that we can’t see) and really made us uncomfortable as they were feasting on us especially on my 3 kids!!!😡(bite marks are still present at this moment). Management has to make sure that the rooms are kept tidy and should be fumigated to eliminate such bugs. This was the only letdown during our stay.!!!!! No matter how beautiful a hotel is, if cleanliness is a concern, it is not worth the stay.

The hotel room are very clean and well kept. Check in and check out was not up to par for a four star hotel. On checking into my room I was greeted to a guest who was already occupying the room. On checking out I had invalid charges on my bill. When asked about the the charges the front desk person was unable to to fix our charges. The manager was called, but she didn’t seem to care about resolving our issues. They should’ve been more courteous however they treated us as if we did something wrong.

If you like being in the middle of nowhere this I a good place to go. The only time to go here is either to go to a convention at the convention center or nothing at all. Last year they had the lawn on d which is next door and they had concerts and pickle ball. That was cool but that's not in the winter . The service there sucks a couple people like this bigger guy and there was this lady with glasses they were cool but the rest were snobby and rude. I only know the big guy I good because he actually gave me the time of day when I was talk to him and the lady was polite to direct me to the sitting area because I guess me and my bf were not supposed to sit in the seats in the hall, it was late I guess we were just playing are switches. Yeah but don't go here it wasn't worth our time and money.

My Wife and I were amused by the mouse that was eating off the floor while we waited for food at the lobby bar. Bartender is of medium talent. We’ve stayed at the Kaanapali Westin and it was amazing. I can’t believe these two hotels are related at all. The Boston Seaport has better options.

  • 2/5 Angelo V. 4 months ago on Google
Rooms seemed clean, beds comfy. But for $600 for two nights (including parking), I would stay elsewhere. There were mice in both the lobby and on the 7th floor during my stay.

Hotel is very nice. Staff was fantastic. Food at the conference was great. Room was very nice. I had an issue with my lock/key, which took engineering to resolve but then it was resolved for the duration of my stay. This issue is apparently common. The service of food and warm beverages during the conference was lacking (not the staff but the timing). We are unsure if that was a hotel thing or an event thing. Depending on what your plans are for your stay, this is not downtown and it's about.5 like from the harbor in Seaport. Just a heads up. Overall, beautiful hotel with nice amenities and great staff.

I recently stayed here for a conference. Jen and Valentina helped me with my reservation and both of them were an absolute delight. Check in was flawless, thank you Jarderle for a very smooth process. The Westin is by far the best hotel within walking distance to the Boston Convention Center. Great lobby, FedEx center if you need it, Starbucks in the lobby, rooms are perfect. Thank you for a great stay!

November 2023: Stayed here for three nights and was very happy with my stay. Hotel is next to the convention center. Good location. There's a Starbucks in the lobby 👍. I got upgraded to a room on the 16th floor. King size bed had king size pillows! Pillows were a little inconsistent and could use a refresh. Had trouble sleeping because the pillows weren't comfortable. Restaurant bar was pretty decent. Had dinner one night after checking in. Overall, would come back again.

Hotel was nice, updated and convenient to all of Boston (walkable to plenty of places). Has a pretty lobby, Starbucks on site, beautiful pool and gym. Only complaint is the lobby restaurant/bar manager Patricia. She was very rude to all guests and her employees from what I witnessed. I would stay here again, just would avoid that area.

This hotel was disappointing from start to finish. The rooms are in need of TLC. There were peeling moldings, damage and marks to walls and surfaces. The decor is very outdated. In addition, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. There were little misses everywhere (Kleenexes shoved back into the dispenser, maybe even used, a room service card that was obviously fully filled out by a previous guest, smears on surfaces). The pool and hot tub seemed dirty and like they need some attention. Customer service was very poor. Employees are not friendly and are not very customer minded-I had a package arrive and got three incorrect directions and waited in three separate lines only to find out everything goes to FedEx. Neither check in or check out was a friendly experience and lines for both were very long. Overall the staff seems disgruntled, disorganized, and the property has seen better days. For the price point, I’d expect more. Lots of options in Boston. Wouldn’t choose this place again.

Westin Boston is very conveniently located & is also right next to the convention center. My room was spacious and had a nice view of the square. I believe the staff of this hotel is always little overwhelmed by the number of guests coming in especially being next to the convention center. I had issues with my overhead and hand shower , pressure and temperature, and it took them a few days to respond. Also, if you're a vegan or vegetarian, you would have a little bit of a struggle at the restaurant/ bar. They also couldn't accommodate my late checkout request ( I was told , it is the case on most occasions here), so in case you have a late flight, plan accordingly.

  • 2/5 Nigel M. 8 months ago on Google
When we arrived they didn't explain any of the extra charges when we checked in (destination fee, various local taxes), they managed to get my wife's card blocked so rather than contact us via a note in our room, they locked us out of the room until they had a card that worked! The process of having two free breakfasts and upto $25 off further meals in the hotel restaurants and bars is nothing more than a trick to get you to spend more. For a family of 4 you will end paying $$$ or splitting the family with half finding a reasonably priced diner nearby. We discovered on checking out they had wrongly been charging us for an extra person (despite the fact we booked two adults and children via Virgin Holidays which is why blocking my Wife's card was outrageous as we had paid for the accommodation in advance ) and trying to get a sensible explanation of the staff proved difficult. Before leaving I had to sit and figure out what we had been charged for and have a painful conversation with one of the senior reception staff to ensure we hadn't been charged incorrectly, even now I am not entirely sure. Asking about how to get about Boston was a total waste of time as everything was 'around the corner'. In general the Hotel staff we are about the rudest and most unhelpful Hotel staff I have met anywhere in the world. Rooms are typical large Hotel Room,, comfortable etc although our shower was pathetic. Location is fantastic for the convention center but it's a bit of a walk into the city (less so if you take the Metro which we had to find for ourselves), but also close to the Airport - so location is influenced by your plans when staying, not so good for our holiday. We won't be hurrying back.

Clean, comfortable room. Check-in was a bit slow but not unreasonably slow. Starbucks on site is convenient but poorly staffed in the mornings. Use the app to order ahead or expect a long wait (20+ minutes). Location is the Seaport district but a bit removed from the amenities. Great location if you have something going on at the Convention Center. If you are just in Boston for a casual visit, Westin at Copley may be a better location from a practical standpoint.

Night 1 into a 3 night stay, but not off to a good start. The check in lady had a smile, but less than pleasant attitude. I had apologized and told her I wasn't sure if she was ready for me when she motioned for me to come forward and despite the smile, her response was a less than friendly "that's why I said hello. " Then when i talked to her about the room and asked about the room request, she rolled her eyes and said, "that's why they changed the name to seaport because you can't see the water from any of the rooms due to the tall buildings." As for the room, basic other than the floor has actual dips under the carpet, especially by the window, that just don't feel safe. My room in St. Louis the night before actually had a larger, updated bathroom. Standard shower curtain, body soap dispenser is missing and replaced with a 1 oz bottle and a bar, towels are located inside the bath, shower area. Just not what I was expecting, especially compared to St. Louis/ Chesterfield which is much cheaper and way nicer staff.

We booked for 5 nights with this hotel for a business conference. It was our first time here in Boston and had very high hope for this hotel because most of the reviews are good and the location is great. However, the actual experience says otherwise. The front desk staffs were unprofessional and rude. Not to mention there were a group of grad students next room having party all night during the first night stay. We called the front desk 5 times they have only sent a security to check on the room once. We have travelled to many places in the world and have stayed at many different types of hotel(inn to 5-star Four Seasons). We had even (much) better services and host by super friendly and professional staffs at a Holiday Inn. I hate to write review like this but this was the worst experience we have ever had, especially with 4-star hotel charges such a premium price, little details matter. An extremely disappointing experience for a Gold Elite member. P.S. For other Elite members with Marriott— this hotel doesn’t provide late check out perk

My daughter and I spent a long weekend here and had a fabulous stay. We enjoyed the room (although our view wasn't the best) and found the hotel comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet twice and were especially impressed by Kenny's service. The quality of the buffet food was great and there was a good variety! The pool and hot tub were very nice as well. Being able to leave our luggage with the concierge until we went to the airport was very helpful. My daughter left her iPad in the room when we checked out, but security helped us out as soon as we realized and got it to us quickly when we returned for our luggage. I can't recall his name, but he was fabulous! (Sunday May, 7)

Stayed here for 2 days during my trip to Boston. The service was good, the room was great, the location is perfect, it's close to everywhere. They have a nice restaurant inside the hotel which serves awesome food and drink. Overall a great place to stay for vacations.

Excellent location especially if you have a conference at the convention center next door. The lobby is very beautiful and the meeting rooms are great. It is accessible to dinning areas and other sight seeing places around town.

This was such a great stay. I was here for the Small Business Expo, so I had to exhibit with the business in which I am co founder. We got there super early but was able to check in 2 hrs later and was alerted by text. The room was comfortable and we slept very well. Tell the front desk manager Ed I said "Hello!" He was so nice, I will never forget him, my puppy loved him!

Second year in a row my family and I have stayed right around Christmas time. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are always tidy and large (especially for Boston) The indoor pool and jacuzzi are perfect in the winter. The on-sight dining is great. We’ve made it tradition.

The hotel is very nice design, looked spacious. Location is a little bit set back but within a short distance of walking from Seaport water front District. For visitors arriving from Logan Airport, the airport shuttle bus SL1 station at the World Trade Center Boston is a short walking distance away. The 1 bed-room floor-plan is well designed with additional table and chair, there is a small arm chair. Bathroom jet shower head is good, decent strong stream for water massage. There is a small fridge and coffee bar for guest.

I'll take more pictures but this hotel is nice! The room is nice, smells good! The bed is super comfortable! The view from my room I cab see the water! I would stay here again! It has a comedy club, nice restaurant, a common area! Customer service is on point & a parking garage!

The hotel was comfortable and seemed clean and did not have any smells which is a positive. There are a lot of amenities here which is convenient. I was disappointed the hotel did not have a snack area where I could by water or snacks. The staff seems helpful and friendly. I would stay here again.

This hotel has a beautiful lobby with some amazingly large TVs to watch sporting events on. The service was very friendly. I enjoyed the pretzels at the lobby bar way more than I expected I would. The rooms were spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. It's also located in the Seaport so, very close to multiple different bars and restaurants and its just steps from downtown Boston.

Great experience during our stay here. I wish they'd add a microwave oven in the room. The hotel is located near many amenities and restaurants and close to waterfront which was great to walk around. Staff was friendly, room was clean and we could check-in earlier than expected which was appreciated. Breakfast was included in our package and it was delicious (go before 9am if you can to avoid the lineup) The only thing is the parking situation, we were lucky because we got there early and there were still a few spots left but I wouldn't advise going in and out once you're in because it was full and you'll need to use valet parking. But overall great stay!!

I just loved this place. If you are a bonvoy elite member, especially Platinum and above, this is the hotel you want to choose. Front desk staff was very friendly, and all the vouchers you get are very easy to use and make up for the destination fee. I also liked that it was only a block away from tge airport shuttle.

Everything was great between the room and cleanliness. After putting down a room hold charge I was then double charged for the room at final checkout and the hotel has given me the run around transfering me to several different people who don't answer the phone or return messages. When provided financial records showing 2 charges nothing has been resolved. With no resolution and the lack of accountability I won't be staying at another Westin

Great hotel with amazing views of Seaport district. The rooms were extremely comfortable with silky bedding and sheets. The swimming pool is nice, but when there are too many people, you can barely swim an inch. The parking garage was convenient and the elevator transported you right to the lobby. Great location for access to shopping, dining, and exploring Boston.

Really clean hotel, really good amenities. Staff is friendly. I really appreciated the Starbucks in the lobby. Parking isn’t ideal, however, I didn’t have any major issues when it came to parking on site. I would recommend this place for a good, safe, comfortable place to stay.

This is a 3 star hotel with a 5 star price tag. Rooms are very small and basic in design. Hotel is clean on the surface but you can see evidence of cost cutting and wear throughout. Some staff are exceptional while others can't be bothered. Convenient to the conference center which is the only reason why I'd stay here.
