Honestly one of the top 3 places I've ever eaten. I'm very interested in health food but it's not even a big part of my life and I say that if I had to choose any one restaurant for the rest of my life this would be it. Incredibly delicious affordable and wholesome food that makes you feel alive. I'm 6, 2 and 200 lbs and I was full. Generous portions and hearty. My girlfriend eats a lot despite her small size lol we shared 2 bowls and an acai and were stuffed after not eating all day. One bowl would be enough for most peoples lunch . My girlfriend loves me a lot more for finding this place. Only problem is it might be the only place we eat in Boston and there aren't locations everywhere. Charming location and staff looks healthy and happy as well.

I wanted to like this place because of the cool vibe but look at these “tacos” which were BARELY filled with anything. It was mostly a plain fried tortilla, and overpriced. Very disappointing!

Well designed space with lots of chairs / tables for doing work. Got the quinoa breakfast bowl which was very flavorful - could have used a little bit more feta but overall great meal. Reasonable prices and diverse healthy menu. Would come back!

Healthy = light, wet, flavorless food. WRONG! Life Alive challenges conceptions of vegetarian and healthy dishes with their delicious offerings. The flavors are bold and interesting, the portions are filling, and the ambiance is pretty cool. Artsy touches really elevate the environment, but the star is undoubtedly the food. No chicken, fish, pork, or beef on the menu - but if you embrace their incredible Asian-inspired flavors you won’t be disappointed.

Very cute decor and large space w/ lots of seating options! Incredible menu! I tried the celery lemon sparkler and it was one of the yummiest drinks I’ve ever tried. I ordered the spicy peanut noodle dish while my partner tried the avocado sol. Both were amazing! Highly recommend for the health-conscious!

Trying to eat more healthy so I am trying new places and this was yummy I never ate food before without meat but wow this was worth the trip to the store. Food was so good made me buy tofu to try to recreate the dish lol. The acia bowl with bananas and peanut butter and fudge was amazing just amazing the other acia bowl with pomegranate not my favorite but was good. I tried the green acia bowl nasty not for me I was suppose to be healthy but tasted bad forgot the name but was green. I tried the green godess salad amazing and the rainbow harvest was just amazing just amazing. The whole dish was amazing sweet potato and tofu was perfect blend.when I don’t cook I will be eating there again,

It’s not possible to write anything that does enough justice to Life Alive. If I could only eat out at one place for the rest of my life (which would be longer as a result) it’d be here. It’s the perfect combination of healthy, tasty, affordable, attractive, hip and fun. I’ve imagined a restaurant like this, tried to wish it into being where I used to live in NY…but finally found it here in Boston, our new home.

The curry inspired bowl was delicious! Great location and the food was so hearty. There was limited seating when we went but the vibes were so cute and colorful.

The design of the cafe is super cute! The Udon is just okay would not recommend but the grain bowl and acai bowl is delicious! The staff at the cashier talks in a very low voice so make sure she got all your orders right!

The watermelon poke salad was spunky, refreshing, and unique. I also tried a bit of my friend’s tofu teriyaki bowl, and it was a sweet counterpart to my acidic fruity dish. The atmosphere and seating options was also as fun and colorful as the food!

The food was surprisingly bad. My falafel wrap was crunchy in a way that I felt there were eggshells or something like that in there. The food took forever to get, and they completely forgot our smoothly. When we went to see its status, they spent 10 min trying to find where it had gone (keep in mind this is 45 min after we ordered) before they finally remade it. Complete east of time and money.

A lovely restaurant looking out on the Berkeley Building. We sat in the small tucked away window seat, which is a lovely sun trap on a cold day! The restaurant name suggest it’s organic, but really it’s vegetarian/vegan and there is no meat, which was disappointing - but the food served was great regardless. We had ‘The Adventurer’ and the ‘Spicy Peanut Noodles’ - noodles were fantastic - with some tangy and spicy flavours cutting through the lovely peanut buttery noodles. It’s not full table service - you need to order your food at the till and clear away your plates afterwards. Again not a problem, but the default till tip options are 18,20,22% and there is no real service… (note a Brit in America however) The vanilla nitro cold brew was a great beverage.

This place is so colorful and cheerful. Menu is very nice to have a lot of healthy options. We got egg and cheese taco and green egg and cheese for breakfast. Drink blue lagoon and green smoothies.

Better for you breakfast and a tasty latte to go with it. The space was also very cozy and bright, which paired with the food made a great atmosphere. I had a modified tofu breakfast sandwich that wasn’t my favorite as a meat eater, but it tasted really fresh. I got the blue ocean latte of course and that’s also as delightful.

Life alive is one of the best vegetarian restaurant in Massachusetts 👌🏻 This location is the newest location in Boston. It is so contemporary and trendy as you compared to the other three location the one near Boston University and the one on at Cambridge and Lowell . At any location my order will be the same. Either I will get the explorer or the goddess. In the summer definitely will not hesitate to get something cold which is açai bowl. If I have the chance I would order order both that’s why it’s good to go with a friend or a sibling so you can share otherwise the sizing of the bowls are really decent but you still have the option to buy the small or the large bowl 👌🏻👍🏻 Indeed, I recommend this restaurant

Obsessed with the lattes. Best Golden milk latte maybe ever. Very smooth with coconut milk. Enjoyed the blue algae too. Love the fresh pressed beet juice. Love the green goddess bowl. The udon was ok, a bit oily the broth and I didn’t love the texture of the noodles. Avocado chocolate moose, great option for dessert.

Enjoyed visiting this cafe. They had a few vegan items listed on the menu and were able to make changes to a few menu options to make them vegan. Specifically, we had the breakfast hash and substituted egg and feta for tofu. We really enjoyed the avocado toast. It did take a little while to get our drinks, but it was also very busy.

A variety of healthy, yummy, and nutritious food options! Lovely staff that helps you with anything you ask for, very clean and tidy place with colorful and bright decor. Convenient prices. Totally worth a visit! Loved it and would come back! ☺️ A bonus - charging stations for phones/laptops available (convenient for travelers) + bottles of water you may bring to your table. 👍

I ordered food from this cafe using Uber eats. I had their Moroccan red lentil soup and autumn falafel. Both were delicious. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for something healthy and vegetarian.

I ordered a smooth and curry bowl w/ egg. The flavors and freshness were phenomenal! The bowls were so big I couldn't finish it and it broke my heart because I was on the go and couldn't take it with me. The smoothie was exactly that, smooth lol. Wasn't incredibly sweet; you could really taste the natural flavors. Highly recommend!

I was walking on Boston street as as I saw this cafe, I knew instantly I must go in. I am always looking out for healthy cafe or organic cafe as they are closest to get vegetarian / vegas food. The vibe and look of the cafe is very good and it was quite full. We ordered avacado toast and hot chocolate and both were done to perfection. It was good place to take a break and have my breakfast as I saw passer-by starting their day

Great place! I could eat here every day. Good prices, good portions, good variety, good vibe, and good service. I only wished the place was not overcrowded by people that “camp” there all day by just ordering one thing. Any day is good to visit for a quick and healthy meal. Highly recommended.

Delicious dishes made with fresh ingredients. Casual party vibe. Reasonable prices. Lots to choose from for those on vegetarian or vegan diets. Dishes are coded for easy recognition as to vegan, gluten free, etc.

I always look forward to my meals at Life Alive when I visit Boston! Everything I've had has been delicious. Highly recommend the tofu teriyaki wrap (pictured), rainbow nori wrap, spicy peanut noodles, chocolate mouse, strawberries and cream smoothie, and iced blue latte. From what I've seen, you can't go wrong here!

Visited this place with a friend as we studied for exams! I tried the vegan chili & it was yummy. I forget which smoothie I ordered, but it was also very good! They also have water carafes freely available for anyone to grab. Overall, great experience & I will be returning!

I’ve been meaning to stop here for a bit and finally got the chance today! I ordered the Thai peanut sutra bowl and miso soup to go, and my food was ready in less than 10 minutes. I was very impressed with both items — super flavorful, bright, and satisfying!!! Now I have to come back and try everything else! Updated 9/27/22: Went back to the cafe and tried their chocolate mousse, the love child smoothie, and the spicy peanut noodles (sun brown rice). My favorite of the three was definitely the chocolate mousse!!

Stopped in for lunch with a friend (Wednesday at lunchtime) the place was busy but we were able to find a table easily and were only 3rd in line. The food came quickly and was tasty and fresh. I enjoyed my salad! The price is also very good for the area.

This place is very bohemian chic, and have eaten here before. Most people don’t come here to order ramen noodles, but it hit the spot so much, it’s actually refreshing that they had something warm to eat on their menu. Also highly recommend the Greek Goddess salad.

I don’t usually like health food restaurants as I find their foods bland. This is not the case here at Life Alive. The Adventure Bowl I got this time and the Buddha Bowl I got last time were both packed with flavor. The presentation of the food is also appealing and appetizing. There are also patio seatings for when weather gets a little warmer.

I love going here! The service is always so nice and the food always so fresh. My favorite bowl is the adventurer (add avocado) followed with a matcha latte. It’s always so warm and comforting. It’s always tasty and well balanced. I am no vegan but I like vegan dishes here and there. I love that I can get work done as well. There’s more than enough seating (the times I’ve been) and a lot of outlets to charge my phone, computer or headphones. They always have good music as well. I’m a huge cafe connoisseur and this one has made it to my local top 5.

This is an honest review after 4 consecutive days of trying the food and drinks as well as experiencing the ambiance. The first day, I was amazed. I walked in and loved the cozy feel as well as the music that played. The first day was a mix of different genres ranging from old rock to early 2000s pop. I ordered the Lavender Lemonade (photo 2), the Green Goddess (photo 2), and the Green Planet (photo 3). Each one I genuinely loved; however, my only complaint was that there wasn’t enough granola in the Green Planet Bowl. On the second day, there was an awesome, relaxing ambiance with reggae music playing (mostly the legendary Bob Marley). I ordered the Autumn Falafel (not pictured) and fell in love. This is one of my favorite dishes. I also got the Blue Magic smoothie (picture 5). The smoothie was so so yummy and it had a nice kick to it, which wasn’t overwhelming at all. I don’t lean towards spicy things, but it was very tolerable. Before I left, I also ordered a ginger shot and turmeric shot (neither pictured). They are pure ginger and pure turmeric shots. They are very potent due to the purity, but make you feel super rejuvenated and energized. On the third day, it was a nice mix of all different types of music: mostly Latin and early 2000s pop. I got the breakfast hash (not pictured) and the Ocean Blue Latte (picture 6 and picture 8). The breakfast hash was EXTREMELY delicious and I was pleasantly surprised by the burst of flavor. The Ocean Blue Latte is my favorite drink here because of the uniqueness of it. It is such a delicate and soft flavor yet so delicious. It’s a must try! On the fourth day, it was a mix of genres: mainly old rock and pop. I got the Swami (picture 7) as well as the Butternut Spice Latte and the Ocean Blue (both pictured in picture 8) to drink. When I first read the ingredients for the Swami bowl, I thought I should get it without the raisins. In the end, I chose to keep all the ingredients in, which I’m extremely happy about. Despite seeming off-putting, the raisins made the dish. The Butternut Spice Latte was so flavorful and tasted like the perfect fall latte. It has beautiful hints of cinnamon and had a great combination of ingredients. Ocean Blue, as said before, is the best. Before I left, I got the Morning Moxie cold-pressed juice and also thoroughly enjoyed it. The sweetness of the carrot and the kick of the ginger was perfect. The apple cider vinegar may seem off-putting, but it remains unnoticeable when drinking it. Overall, I am amazed and in love with this place. I love sitting here for hours as well as eating the food and drinking the beverages they offer. My favorite place.

I always get the Green Goddess, but today I decided to change it up with their Swami (grains). Good lord it was delicious! I loved the flavors and how the veggies were cooked to be a little soft. Their Blue Magic drink is also delicious. I can drink that everyday!

Tried this place for the first time and it was pretty good. I got the avocado salad which had everything I liked in it besides feta and although I love olives, it did not go well with the salad. I wasn't a fan of the dressing as well. Just not my thing. Only thing i didn't particularly like was that there was an olive pit or what I think is an olive pit in my salad. I thought it was a crunchy chickpea but it was not. The avocado mousse was delicious. It was smooth and rich and very chocolatey.

Incredible gluten free food selection! They offer unique combinations of ingredients to create the tastiest salads. I try to eat here as often as possible. I highly recommend this place for you. I like to eat meat and I didn’t think I would enjoy vegetarian dishes as much as I have enjoyed everything I ever tried in here!

  • 5/5 Georgios P. 2 years ago on Google
To be completely honest I could never be a vegetarian because I love meat a lot and I don’t believe you can replace its nutritional value with veggies. Therefore I tend to avoid such type of places that are full of vegetarian options. Plus most times the taste of such options are pretty lame. But... things most definitely changed after visiting this cafe. I had an amazing meal with veggies and organic ingredients plus a spectacular bowl right after. And the decor of the place... Just Perfect!! I will definitely visit again!!!

Ambience of this place is great. We went to pick up our coffees. We ordered iced espresso latte and drip coffee. After placing the order and waiting for 10 min, we found out they don’t have regular or oat milk but only coconut milk. The coconut iced espresso latte was a disaster. Drip coffee was literally dripping when attempting to drink. We threw away the latte and I had to empty half my coffee to be able to drink it.
