My husband took me to Moona restaurant for my birthday. The foods are super delicious. This is my first time trying Mediterranean dinner. I really enjoy it. I like the style of small and many varieties dishes. You can sample different tastes. Definitely a repeat!

Contemporary middle eastern delectables served in an intimate setting. Recently took a visit to experience another middle eastern hype in Cambridge. The highly-praised za’atar bread was unfortunately no longer served, but their menu still seemed to feature a good amount of creative middle eastern cuisines. Instead of getting the large plates, we decided to try as much mezza starters as possible. While some dishes like the dips plate and the grilled squid were mediocre, other dishes had interesting factors that I liked. Cooked in coconut milk, the Moon mussels had just the right amount of creamy flavor that beautifully complemented the small pieces of merguez. The apricot sauce for the chicken bastilla was also amazing, and the feta fritters with honey glaze were executed flawlessly. My favorite was the eggplant fatteh which had a delightful interplay between the yogurt, pita crisps, eggplants, and other spices. Hallawa cheesecake was also an excellent way to finish off our meal. Sprinkles of pistachio and grape molasses were unique additions that paired nicely with the chocolate cheesecake.

Moona had been on our list for a while and we finally were able to pull the trigger - it did not disappoint! Moona has a wide array of dishes available, we opted for many of the smaller ones, and went at it family style. While it would have been nice to have these dishes spread out (rather than all at once), all of them were wonderful. We especially recommend the “dips” dish, which includes hummus, baba ghanoush, pickle beets, olives, etc. It was one of our favorites. The grapes leaves were also excellent. In all, Moona was an excellent dining experience.

Nice trendy restaurant with a beautiful bar. Flavors were excellent for most dishes but portions on the small side. My favourite was the mixed grill plate. Fattoush salad slight too tart for me. Eggplant dish was very tasty and had a smoky flavor.

Overall, a filling meal with more than a few vegetarian options to choose from. While the dishes aren’t large, they are sharing size and 3-4 items should pretty well fill up 2 people. The service was quick for a busy weeknight and the location is easy to get to. Overall, happy with the experience. Would recommend the eggplant fatteh as the best item I enjoyed there this evening. Would have preferred them to at least warm the pita up for the dips, but not a huge issue.

I’ve been three times, and I loved it the first two times but was disappointed with my visit this week. The dishes were lukewarm, including the falafel which I get every time. Hopefully just a fluke. Cute spot with great cocktails and Mediterranean dishes. I love, love the eggplant fatteh and the fezcal and korkom&carrot cocktails - the latter feels like you’re drinking a health juice.

Amazing Mediterranean cuisine in Inman Square! Came here for a birthday celebration and were treated very well. The space is small, and can only seat ~30 people max. That said, the food, service, and atmosphere were sensational. We needed to wait for our seats. That said, the lady at the front of the house Christine was incredibly friendly and quick to keep us updated about our reservation, answer questions we had about drinks and food, and even get us our drinks even before we sat down. The rest of the staff were very quick to make recommendations, but also make conversation about their experience working there - a telling sign that this is a well put together team that focuses on customer service. Food and drinks were amazing. The fezcal, and painless pineapple - a seasonal drink- were what we got. The list of wine selection stretched from the US, France, Italy, and even Lebanon, which made for great pairings. Most of the food items were tapas style - the octopus, chicken liver mousse, dips, lamb burgers, and steak tips were all highlights. The chicken liver mousse is a particularly great starter along with the dips. The octopus is incredibly well balanced by the fennel yogurt. The service all the while was quick and timely based on how hungry we were. At the end, they were even able to get a birthday candle out for our celebration with one of the dessert dishes. While the price is higher than average of restaurants in Cambridge, the food and service make this place worth going to for future special occasions. Excited to come by again soon!

Wow! Just wow, everything was absolutely amazing. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place on a Sunday night looking for places to eat, starved. We looked up a few places and settled on this place and a settle it was not. From the food to service to ambiance, A++. Remy our server was a ball, though well versed with the menu, it was his quick wit and attentiveness that sold us. We enjoyed the Kahweh Khaneh and the Korkom and Carrot for drinks. The KK had a nice kick and the KC was so smooth I could have a few and still be in love the next day. For starters we had the Eggplant Satteh and the Scallops. The Scallops my partner has deemed them his favorite dish of the year so much so he wished there was a version as a main dish. The bbq duck and sweet corn, chefs kiss. The eggplant, recommended by Remy, was also bomb. The peta crips and pine nuts paired with the creaminess of yogurt and eggplants, amazing. As our main we had the whole fish and chicken tagine, and I tell you well left no crumbs. Literally. The fish was so well cooked but the chicken out of this world. A big ol thigh and wing atop a bed of sweet potatoes and stewed onions. Everything was so tender and well seasoned. We ended our night with the banana bread pudding and rice pudding, it was just the icing on the cake. If y’all are thinking about going here, please do. From the outstanding service and hospitality , to the exceptional food. This is definitely in our Rolodex of places we love.

Great dinner location that honestly should have a lot more hype than it does. We ordered the eggplant fatteh, feta fritters, lamb burgers, and whole grilled fish. Everything was delicious, the eggplant fatteh is a must - I’ve never had anything like it and it truly stood out as a star dish. The feta fritters could be better (they’re amazingly soft, but lack a flavor that you really remember). Also, the place is a bit tight, so expect to get comfortable with the people at the tables next to you. If you’re unlucky, you might end up near someone who laughs way too loudly. Besides that, excellent location.

Really liked this place as I searched for something different in the Boston culinary scene. The mezze dip plate was best in class - whipped feta with pomegranate seeds, eggplant, hummus and great picketed vegetables (but they definitely need to up the pita department - store bought pita is a downer with such great dips). Grilled corn was insane - but felt more Latin and Middle Eastern - but don’t get me wrong - fantastic. And the grilled mini-lamb burgers were incredible - even my teenage daughter went nuts over them (I might have gone sans bun - and more authentic - but still great). Cool little vibe for the spot. Only downside was the speed of service - everything was on the table inside 10 minutes - and generally like to pace it out a bit. In short - fantastic little spot. Will be back.

Really love this spot. Food was incredible, vibe is cozy and cool, great staff. A really great spot to try all the plates. The Fatteh and the Fattoush were the table favorites. I was also super impressed with the octopus- very hard to get that right, and they did. Perfect.

An outstanding restaurant with amazing food and flavors and excellent service. We made reservations for a weekend dinner for four people and we were seated soon after arriving. It is a small location so reservations are a must. Our server was prompt and friendly with some excellent suggestions on the best items on the menu. Since they primarily do tapas style dishes, we agreed on 8 selections based on the server's recommendation for the size of our party and ordered them with drinks. They even added to the plates so that dishes that might normally come with three items came with four based on our party size. The experience was excellent as they brought the small plates out in an order where dishes complemented each other and built up to a finish. Drinks were excellent as well and we ordered the right amount of food for everyone to be satisfied. Prices were very reasonable especially considering the quality and the portions. We all agreed it was one of the best meals we'd enjoyed and would absolutely visit again. A truly memorable experience and restaurant and a new favorite.

This place is worth visiting and then returning to eat all the things you couldn't order the first time! We shared the octopus, musakhan duck rolls, and lamb -- and all were so flavorful and hearty. Our wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly, it made the entire dining experience worth it. We paired our meal with the pomegranate mocktails (delicious) and finished off with the decadent chocolate molten cake/mousse and the rice pudding. Everything was amazing and we can't wait to return to this gem.

Overall a good restaurant with a cozy live vibe and limited food menu ! We ordered the chickpea falafel which was pretty average, nothing great ! Fetta fritters we’re nice and cheesy! Brussels sprouts didn’t have much added flavour , just basic sautéed with pine nuts and some tahini . Clams were good! Hallava cheesecake was nice and creamy ! It’s presentation was top notch! Overall an okayish experience for one time visit!

Food was a pretty big let down. Starters were solid and creative, everything tasted pretty good. The chicken tagine is borderline bad. Extremely bland, watery, basic, not very authentic at all. Maybe that's the only bad dish but certainly not worth it. Cheesecake is great and service is good. Drinks are solid too.

I had a great time trying out a lot of the small plates at Moona! Would definitely recommend the Falafel and Lamb Burgers for starters as they were quite tasty. The Dips Plate was good, but I would only recommend the hummus. The other two dips were interesting, but they didn’t stand out. I will say they provide a healthy amount of Pita with the dips so that was nice. In addition to these starters we got the Mashawee "Mixed Grill" entree. All of the meats and vegetables in this dish were expertly cooked and tasty. One thing I would maybe change is the amount of BBQ sauce for the steak tips. It was good, but could be overpowering. I think if you’re going with a large group you could just get starters and be happy, but the Mixed Grill was easy to split so definitely consider it.

What a fabulous bar and intimate restaurant in Cambridge. The specialty drinks at the bar were delicious! Food was authentic Mediterranean- We sampled many of the tapas sized appetizers and shared a mixed grill platter. Save room for the desserts! Food was spectacular and service a definite 5 stars- you wont be disappointed! We will be sharing this gem with all our friends and will definitely be back again soon!

This place is hustling and bustling with customers... delicious food, great atmosphere and extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Mina, our waitress, was so informative, which was very helpful to us, as it was our first time there and we were not sure of some of the items. The kitchen help was also very friendly and awesome as he also brought out food to us. Sorry, I didn't get his name! We sat at the outside seating area as we did not have any reservations, which was very comfy and cozy. We ordered many dishes, there were so many things to choose from that sounded delicious, we could not resist! We're sooooooo happy we did! We ate so much that we had to take home the cheesecake! I forgot to mention the Pomegranate lemonade spritzer. It was my fave!
