Eggplant with ricotta appetizer was DELICIOUS. Seriously tasted like a heavenly cannoli without the sugar. Couldn’t even taste the eggplant. AMAZING. Also enjoyed the gluten free pizza and Caesar salad. Our server was very friendly and attentive and the restaurant has a fun vibe with a great music track. Definitely would return on our next visit to the north end!!

service was good, food was great (portions are huge), vibe was cozy and fun, reasonably priced. Essentially every pasta is customizable. You can choose what type of pasta, what type of sauce, and what type of protein you want. Totally underrated spot in the north end.

Came in for dinner with a reservation because everywhere else was booked out, and it turned out to be disappointing. The flatbread was great but that's about all I can say. The pizza was okay and the pesto tasted like plain pasta that we had to add salt to make it even edible. As for the service, I can say I will never be coming back and will never recommend to anyone. They knocked over our flowers from a celebration and did not bother to apologize. They also didn't offer bread, cheese, or the limoncello shots that everyone else around us got. I rarely write reviews but this establishment seems to be racist. My friends and I were the only POC there and I can see why. Don't waste your time!

Note - as of October 2021 they do NOT stay open until 11 pm!! We tried to come eat a second time around 9:45 pm and kitchen was closed, Google hours are wrong! Anyway - the first time here was incredible! I got the gluten free Gnocchi Quattro, my husband got non-GF Gnocchi Carbonara. And let me tell you, it was amazing in every sense of the word. I lament the fact my hotel did not have a microwave to reheat my leftovers I took home. The sauce was perfect, none of that canned tomatoes taste, the cheese was meaty yet perfectly crisp on top. The gnocchi was fluffy and rich! Think of the perfect Italian comfort food. This is what comes to mind for me. On my list to eat at first thing when I get back to Boston!

My wife said it's the best gluten free pizza she's ever had. I've had their pizza and most recently the veal parmesan. Easily some of the best Italian food in Boston.

We were craving Italian and this was our first time ordering from Benevento’s and we are glad we chose them for dinner. Everything was so full of flavor and was still hot when we got it which is definitely a big plus. I can say without question we will be trying more from this spot🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️

Stopped in for a quick drink at their little bar before dinner. Great red sangria. Nice wine list. Attentive bartender The pizza looked good and they have a wood burning pizza stove

I had the Spukonie Pizza which was amazing! It was made: fresh, hot, and on the spot with brick oven! The place was packed, so I decided to eat at the bar. No problem at all. The bartender was super sweet and on it! I would 💯 eat here again. Their pasta dishes looked amazing as well.

The girl standing by the door greeting people coming in was super awkward. Thought she was a little lost and kind of rude. The pizza me and my cousin shared was great. The server was also super awkward and made us feel like we were being rushed out. It wasn't even that busy.

The best eggplant parmigiana and vodka fusilli. The fresh pasta was great and the eggplant just melts in your mouth, perfect amount of breading. Great Italian in North Boston.

If you’re not picky about getting an authentic Italian pizza, then this place could be okay for you. But I have found the pizzas to be not authentic, the bread that was served was stale, and the service overall was not great.

Food was awesome so I would love to give this place 5 stars but the service could be a lot better especially in a place with high traffic. I didn’t even know my waiters name until I saw it on the receipt. She didn’t talk. She didn’t have manners or hospitality at all. Room for improvement

For my last night in Boston my friend and I decided to visit the North End one last time for some Italian food. We got lucky randomly stopping at this spot around 7:00pm right before it got busier. The hostess cleaned off a two top for us quickly, and the server was incredibly friendly and kind.

We had a delicious meal at Beneventos during a trip to Boston. The food is very well priced, comparatively, to other options in the North End. The caprese salad and pasta fagioli are both delicious! The pizza and pasta there are great as well. The service was excellent. It was a very good meal.

Decided to go here after trying to eat at another place down the street, where the hostess was too rude to think about spending a penny there. This place was nice. Nothing over the top decor wise or ambiance. It was cozy though. We were welcomed right away, seated, and given bread and water while deciding on what to order. We ordered an appetizer of garlic bread. That was okay. It was a garlic loaf, sliced in half, buttered and seasoned on each side, and then put in the oven. If you like toasty and crispy, then you’d like this. I’m still on the hunt for good garlic knots here. Anyway, my husband had the pizza and I had the lasagna. Pizza was a decent size for the price. The lasagna was a very large portion accompanied by a large meatball. It was very good. The whole meal was really good and priced right. The only thing is that sodas are from a can. I like my Diet Coke and while the cans were fine, I like soda fountains better. Our waitress was friendly and we had a nice dinner. We ate a bit earlier not knowing what reservations might be needed. For a nice dinner, this was great. I highly recommend!

Hidden gem. A must try for Italian food. Chicken Alfredo was cooked perfect. Chicken on both dishes was tender and cooked to perfection.

Authentic, exceptional , just really good! Pizza's were great but pasta was fresh and nicely made vodka sauce.

This is a lovely little spot in the North End with some delicious food and drinks. My friends and I all got cocktails/mocktails and then some pasta dishes. Everything tasted yummy and would definitely recommend the vodka sauce with penne for sure! My only feedback would be the slow service when you could tell they were well staffed for a Sunday afternoon. I am a pretty patient and understanding person and even more so when you consider Covid aftermath reasons. However, 3 drinks took easily 20-30 mins to come to us. Our meals took about 15-20 mins after that. Then, we had clearly been done and you could tell they had a line of people waiting and we didn’t mind heading out so they could fill the next table, but we probably stayed longer than we needed to just because it took a while for someone to ask if we were all done, then a while to come back with a check, a while to come back with the box, and a while to come back with our card. I’m not saying we needed to rush but everything felt just a smidge longer than they needed to given the circumstances. Other than that, the staff was friendly and helpful with us figuring out what to order so no shade towards them! I know they are doing their best! I definitely still plan on coming back!

One of our favorite north end spots! The fusilli pasta is to die for. We got the carbonara with chicken and chicken Alfredo with broccoli. Will be back very soon!

Just happened to wander in here, and it was love at first bite! The Spukonie pizza had excellent ricotta and fresh basil! And of course, my main metric for judging pizza places: THE CRUST!! The crust is amazing! Ten tenths. Next Insect Safari in Boston is gonna have a staff lunch here! -Professor Bugman STEM Adventures

We’ve dined here on several occasions and they never disappoint. Had 4pm outdoor reservations on a Sunday (4th of July weekend).(1) food - Always on point, hot and generous portions.. (2) price - reasonable. (3) service - not pushy to up-sell but could be friendlier, more attentive but on par for the north end. One of our standby favs.

If you make a reservation to go here, definitely eat a light snack before you go. We waited over an hour past our reservation time just to get seated. While the food is good, and their pasta sauce is amazing, it's on the priceyer side for the portion sizes. And the fact that i had to pay $4 for a can of coke is weird to me.

The food was absolutely excellent. The red sauce on the meatballs, the lobster ravioli! Enjoyed this meal!!!

Staff was VERY accommodating for our party when some of us were late (were willing to wait really long for us to arrive; myself and my partner arrived one hour and 20 minutes late due to traffic from a Bruins game). I wouldn't recommend the pesto pasta there, but the pizza was really good. I give them a five star rating even though I didn't like my dish in particular because the staff were really nice and I don't think I can judge the whole place on a single dish.

I made it Beneventos in Boston's North End FINALLY after having the pleasure of having them delivered more than once. WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!! If I could give them 777 stars (Vegas style), I would. Annie, our server was SUPERB, friendly, talkative, and really knew the menu. We ordered a pie with sausage, ricotta and caramelized onions, a signature cocktail and a meatball. This meal was so good that we barely touched the pie - we were completely nourished by the DELICIOUS, PERFECT meatball in the DELIGHTFUL marinara with an ample amount of freshly-grated parm that we could only manage to eat three slices of the pie. And what a shame, because that pie was SOOOOOO GOOD and everyone knows fresh, out of the oven pizza is the best! So we left the restaurant in search of a homeless veteran to give our leftovers to. (BTW Make sure to dip your fresh bread in the leftover parmed marinara!) THEN we walked around creating art and alchemized beauty by appreciating and participating in the glorious day by sending vibrations of divine love and bliss into the North End while jammin the alien space-krunch EDM of Valhalla Superdrive while we visited other local vendors. Many prayers were said for to Joe Bono, the gracious owner with love in his eyes and his staff of first-class employees who were having a bad day because of some mechanical problems at the restaurant. BUT WOULDN'T YOU KNOW IT - a few hours later we returned for dinner and this time sat at the bar. It was around 6pm on Saturday and the restaurant's big outdoor patio was full, as was its good sized, very pleasant golden interior. This time we ordered another signature drink, the MUST-TRY pumpkin ravioli, a delicate and piping hot generous bowl of fettucine alfredo with al dente angel hair and again a solo meatball in marinara with more fresh-grated parm. Our bartender was FANTASTIC and the food was INSANELY AMAZING! Beneventos is a MUST-VISIT. A+++

This was my first time in the North End and a lot of the places were booked. We were able to find a spot here on OpenTable and were able to get seated without too long of a wait. I went with their recommended/ popular dish which was the chicken Benevento. For the appetizer we got calamari and it was plentiful for three people. It was quite large (3 pieces of chicken) and tasty. I like this place because even though the prices are high, they give good portions and you won't leave the restaurant hungry.
