One of the best barber shop experiences I've ever had. Mike is a complete class act. Welcoming, accomodating, relatable and talented... place is super clean and has a dope old school vibe to it as well.

Oh so much to say. Came to the shop from Portland, Maine. The staff at both the barber shop and the tattoo shop were super friendly, even during my wait for the tattoo shop to open. Had staff calming my nerves outside with fun banter. Now to the tattoo experience. Dan Sanchez was super accommodating and a great artist and I had the best tattoo experience I have ever had. The other artists and staff also were great, engaging in conversation, and made the long session go by without added stress. One suggestion if possible, 3x shirts for the heavyweights. Thank you to everyone. I will be back. Hope you guys enjoyed the cannolis.. ill pick some different flavors next time. Sonny

Shop is cool, people in there were cool and it felt nice to walk around the neighborhood. Didn’t like the custom cut I wanted to get but I’ve just tried one barber and I give the credit to the guy who cut my hair for trying his best

I came here for a full sleeve tattoo and Jason Anthony absolutely killed it. Hands down some of the best art work I’ve seen. Anywhere I go people ask about my tattoo work!

The atmosphere in the shop is awesome. They keep it very clean and neat ( someone was literally sweeping up my hair mid cut) I love that you can make appointments with a specific barber on their website. I always go to Mike and I'm never disappointed. Hard to find someone I trust with my beard and he always kills it. #fademasterflex

TLDR: The owner of Boston Barber and Tattoo is a bully and does not deserve your business. And if you’re a woman, they probably don’t want your business anyway. I stopped by during the pandemic to see if I could get my bangs trimmed and was told that they weren’t licensed to cut women’s hair. This is BS, you don’t need a separate license. I wrote a 1-star Yelp review and received multiple harassing messages from the owner of Boston Barber and Tattoo, Robert Dello Russo. Looking at his responses on Yelp, Robert regularly responds hostilely to negative reviews. He calls people liars, accuses them of playing the race card and challenged one reviewer to a fight. And those are just the public responses. Robert also deleted his first public response to my review, in which he admitted to lying to women to deny them service. In his edited public response, he called the review fake while mocking my weight (obviously he had talked to the employee I talked to.) He claims his barbers do not know how to cut women’s hair. My hair is straight and my bangs are cut straight across. If the barbers cannot cut hair in a straight line, that’s another good reason to avoid Boston Barber.

Everyone is welcoming and the shop is very clean which is a HUGE thing you should look for when getting tattoos. I’ve gotten multiple pieces from Olivia Fox and will look no further when I need to place my trust in an artist. Olivia is super sweet and an absolutely incredible artist. Currently working on a leg sleeve project with her. I highly recommend this shop.

I recently had an unfortunate experience at Boston Barber that I feel compelled to share. My encounter with the staff here left me extremely disappointed and frustrated. I arrived just a few minutes late for my appointment(Haircut), which I understand can be inconvenient. However, the way I was treated was completely unacceptable. The staff's attitude was downright rude and unprofessional. Instead of politely discussing the situation or offering an alternative solution, they immediately refused to accommodate me. This lack of flexibility and empathy for customers' situations was truly disheartening. I believe that good customer service involves understanding and accommodating reasonable circumstances, especially when customers are only slightly behind schedule. To top it all off, charging my card for the full service without providing the service itself feels like a blatant disregard for fairness and customer satisfaction. I cannot recommend this place to others. "I had appointment with guy named Ricky"

Got an epic tattoo from Daniel here! Dude knows how to tattoo and we did a marathon of sessions over the course of a week (about 21h, 3 days back to back + 1 the following week). Amazing work! 10/10 recommend!

This has been my go-to place for haircuts for several months at this point, so the least I can do is leave a review. One of the most important aspects for me when I was looking for a barbershop after moving into Boston was punctuality. I need to be able to schedule an appointment and, when I arrive at my booked time, get my hair cut within a reasonable period of time after the appointment. This location was my 3rd or 4th attempt; other locations were too flexible and had too many walk-in customers taking my appointments… forcing me to wait 20-30 minutes to be seated. Never had a problem at this location; at most, I’ve had to wait 10 minutes after my appointment to be seated, which is very reasonable. I’ve yet to be disappointed in a haircut I’ve gotten here. My go-to guy, Dave, consistently gives me a good cut every time I’ve needed one; especially right before important events such as friends’ weddings or corporate dinners. Highly recommend this barbershop.

This place is an authentic Boston gem. I’ve been coming here every time I’m back in town from Miami. Mike is always great on short notice and coffee bar inside is a great touch. I’ve seen a lot of Boston sports legends casually hanging out there. Would highly recommend.

Best barber and tattoo shop in Boston! If I didn't live across the ocean, I'd be there every week 😄

BBTC is hands down the best shop in New England! Couldn't convince me otherwise. Every artist in this shop has pure unraw talent! Just wish I had found them earlier in my life. Will never let another shop touch my skin again! They are a true gift to the people! Thank you for everything you do!

I was new to Boston and the north end a few months ago. I didn’t know the best places for a haircut. Boston Barber was the closest to me and I gave it a shot. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. Had a skin fade haircut by Brennan who is also the manager. Amazing guy! My experience was incredible because of him! Boston Barber has become a permanent place to have my haircut.

Boston Barber and Tattoo is the quintessential barbershop experience. It's truely a haven to briefly escape and enjoy yourself while getting cleaned up. Personality, conversation, cold drinks, coffee bar, hoodies and snapbacks for sale are just a few ways to stay busy while waiting for your world class haircut. I don't know why you'd go anywhere else.

Awesome experience all around… I got tattooed by Jason Pepe, His talent clearly speaks for itself but his customer service level and attention to detail is what separated him from the rest for me. Jason is booked up but worth the wait for sure… A lot of heart and soul in between the walls in this shop. Had a lot of fun hanging out there much respect to everyone for making this shop what it is. Can’t wait for my next trip….

Quickest and laziest cut I’ve had. Nice people great location, but what typically takes my barber 30ish minutes took no more than 12.

What else could you want from a barbershop? A walk through the North End, a fun happening vibe, AND - great conversation, lots of laughs, and always an awesome haircut from the exceptionally skilled barber, Kim. Oh, and half a block walk to get a cheese slice afterwards. Come on! Let’s go!!
