I had to admit defeat with portion size which nearly killed me as the food is delicious. Loved the atmosphere and the staff are super friendly, generous and very kind. Well worth a visit I'll definitely be back

Absolutely delicious 😋 I have ordered starter, main and a dessert and couldn't get up later as portions are so huge. Interior is very cosy, staff friendly and overall it's a nice place to spend an evening

Relatives booked us a table for a family gathering on 19/11/22 at 1pm. I didn't know what to expect as couldn't find a menu online prior to meeting up. Menu was just what I wanted - classic pub food, with a few modern dishes. I went for a 'huge' gammon... well worth the £13.95. There was a 'normal' sized gammon too, but that's not my style. Anyway, it was perfectly cooked. Couldn't fault it. Genuinely big, proper thick gammon, must have been an inch thick. Not like a chain pub where you get a bunch of weird thin little 4oz gammons or whatever. Nice homemade chips and a decent homemade coleslaw too. Rest of the table looked nice too, few relatives went for the pie of the day which turned out to be steak and Guinness, and I must say looked rather good. I can't comment on beers or anything as I had a 30 min drive there and back so I had Coke, can't really review that - I mean it was real Coke in a glass bottle, tasted like Coke should. I had a sticky toffee pudding for afters - and it was also rather good. Decent portion of pudding. Couldn't fault that either. Can't remember if it was £4.95 or £5.95. Either way it was a fair price for a decent bowlful of warming sticky toffee. Staff attentive, food was very nice and also I felt very reasonably priced for the quality and portion size. Other patrons were friendly, seemed like a nice community. All things considered it was a very nice meal, and very good value for money given the portions and quality. Even moreso specially in the current climate. It's a bit of a trek from Spalding but I'll definitely consider it for the next time I need a pub meal!

Big thanks to Anthony and all the other staff that made us very welcome. The food is absolutely superb. You will need to book for the burger nights on Tuesday and steak nights on Wednesday. Full menu also available. We ended eating here 3 nights in a row during our holiday 😊. Dog friendly eating area inside too🐕.

Very friendly staff, good was generous and great value. We had classic burgers that were huge and very tasty and came with onion rings and a huge pile of chips. Kids portions also generous. Had a really lovely experience sat in the beer garden with our dog next to the river. Recommended

Popped in for lunch today and was greeted by a friendly face and a smile. We were shown to a table and they took our order. Food was quick and was absolutely delicious. The chips are the star attraction, chunky brown crispy chips with a soft fluffy centre. Melt in your mouth delicious. Generous portions and great value for money. Worth a trip whether it's a quick bite or a long lazy lunch/dinner.

Reasonably priced food but top quality and presented well. But because of this it can get quite busy. Fortunately there's plenty of room inside and some outside seating. I think it was less than a week before our 2nd visit we had such a pleasant experience. The staff seem really proud of what they are achieving there and obviously have a good system in the kitchen (kudos to the chefs).

I booked a table for four people and our small dog who needs a buggy as he's old. I did explain to person on phone dog would be in a buggy. On arrival all three members of staff ignored me whilst l was waiting to tell them we were here. The table they gave us was directly behind the front door of tbe place which opened straight onto our table and dog in buggy. Not acceptable place to sit even without buggy. Lets face it who needs a door keep on opening onto your table when seated. We explained this and asked to be moved to another table please. No one was really bothered at all and when we suggested a table we were told no. One person did ask another member of staff and was told no got to sit at given table. So we politely said in that case we would leave and find somewhere else to go and spend our money. Wouldn't step foot in the place again.. Wasn't impressed at all, lack of enthusiasm or interest at all from the three staff members. We felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable after asking to please move to another table. Of which I may there were at least two. You need to educate your staff on common courtesy and communication skills.

Had Sunday lunch with a group of friends and it’s the best roast dinner I’ve had. Food was fabulous. Portions were big and prices more than reasonable. Staff were superb. All in all can’t say enough good things. We all had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back

I only live 10 minutes up the road and have been meaning to try the food out for ages. I wish u had done it sooner as it was amazing. I had a sirloin steak, and It was cooked perfectly how I wanted it. My partner had a burger and looked amazing too with great presentation. Doombar on draft was a bonus for me too 😁. Very happy and will be back again soon. 😁👌🍻🍻

1st visit with 2 friends from Nottingham. We were very impressed with the homemade food and service, including the bowl of water for my dog. We will certainly return in the near future.

Had a lovely meal here with family. The inn was warm, the staff were pleasant and the food was amazing. We had heard nothing but good reports about the food and we were pleased with just how good it was. Good portions and good price too. The staff were very busy which slowed down service a bit but nothing that is worth complaining about and completely understandable. The only grumble I did have is that they had run out of sticky toffee pudding but we will definitely be going back again soon. Go and try it for a meal, you will be pleased you did

Spent an enjoyable hour or so here. I had Barnsley chop and my companions had pie of the day which turned out to be steak and ale. The food was cooked perfectly and we all loved it. Will go again.

Delicious freshly cooked food, big portion sizes and cheap prices. Paid the same amount at other restaurants nearby for half the food. Would highly recommend.

The reviews did it justice. Lovely welcoming staff. It's dog friendly indoors which is a massive plus 👍 I had a superbly prepared honey & mustard glazed tuna steak which melted in my mouth. Loraine had a cracking minted lamb cut cooked on the bone with an amazing gravy and mash. Excellent value It's fair to say I enjoyed it and I'd highly recommend it if you're in the area.

Great meals and good value. Pleasant staff. Although chips were too big and not as nice as we had a few months ago. Still enjoy the.food and beer here.

We booked here as a large party and were placed in what felt like our own room at the rear of the pub with our own private bar!! The service was excellent and the waiting staff were very patient with our changes in requests. Food was lovely with not one person in our party having the slightest complaint. Just make sure you come with an appetite as the portions are huge!! Highly recommended pub/restaurant for the Boston area and a million times better than nearby "chain pubs". Very happy they actually have local ales as well.
