My
daughter
recently
was
set
up
to
go
to
this
hospital
through
her
dental
team
(Dr.
Kritsineli)
in
Plymouth.
From
the
time
I
had
to
speak
with
hospital
staff
on
the
phone
for
details
on
the
procedure
to
the
very
last
nurse
walking
us
out
to
the
car
when
it
was
finished,
the
experience
was
amazing.
My
daughter
was
in
the
first
group
of
children
for
the
day
so
we
were
there
at
about
6:30
am.
Franciscan
was
easy
to
find
in
Brighton,
and
is
smaller
and
inviting
to
kids
and
their
families--
felt
more
like
a
clinic
than
a
huge
hospital.
The
desk
staff
were
friendly
and
efficient,
wait
time
was
minimal.
The
group
that
brought
us
into
the
waiting
room
for
the
OR
was
so
reassuring.
My
daughter
was
leisurely
brought
to
a
play
room
where
the
nurse
took
her
vitals
(she
let
her
play
the
whole
time
and
even
stopped
to
let
my
daughter
play
uninterrupted
a
little
because
she
sensed
she
was
getting
nervous).
I
was
even
more
nervous
than
my
daughter
and
the
team
kept
everything
calm
and
reassuring
the
whole
time.
After
vitals,
a
child
specialist
visited
with
my
daughter
and
let
her
decorate
her
own
anesthesia
mask--
she
kept
popping
up
through
out
the
rest
of
the
visit
right
when
we
needed
it
and
was
so
personable
and
awesome,
truly
great
with
kids
and
families.
We
were
then
brought
to
pre-op
(I
think
that's
what
it
was?),
the
little
area
before
the
OR
and
each
kid/family
got
their
own
little
curtained-off
area
to
get
familiar
with
their
bed.
So
advocates
and
nurses
came
and
went
for
about
10
minutes,
making
sure
things
were
ready.
Finally
got
to
the
moment
of
the
procedure
and
my
daughter
was
given
a
choice
to
stay
on
the
bed
or
walk
alongside
and
for
some
reason
that
seemed
to
empower
her
(and
me)
so
we
easily
made
it
to
the
OR.
As
the
anesthesia
was
being
administered,
I
got
to
hold
my
daughter's
hand
and
talk
to
her.
I
was
then
taken
to
a
waiting
room
and
was
told
where
the
cafeteria
and
bathrooms
were,
that
they
would
come
get
me
right
when
my
daughter
was
done.
About
an
hour
later
my
daughter's
dentist
Dr.
Kritsineli
came
to
us
to
say
that
she
had
fixed
everything,
fillings
for
four
teeth
and
a
flouride
treatment.
So
efficient,
fast,
and
reassuring,
that
was
the
best
moment
of
all.
Dr.
Kritsineli
told
us
my
daughter
was
fine
and
resting
and
to
wait
a
few
minutes
and
we'd
be
called
back
to
her.
A
few
moments
later
we
were
led
to
the
pre-op
room
and
got
to
sit
with
my
daughter
as
the
nurse
went
through
post-procedure
stuff,
what
to
expect--eating,
drinking,
follow-up,
and
hospital
discharge.
We
then
easily
woke
her
up
and
she
got
to
eat
a
popsicle
and
have
water.
That
all
was
about
15
minutes,
and
we
were
heading
out
the
door.
Hands-down,
the
best
experience
and
I
truly
believe
it
didn't
traumatize
my
three
year
old
in
the
least--
which
I
was
expecting
because
she
had
to
go
to
OR
for
the
treatment.
So
thank
you,
Franciscan
Chidren's,
two
thumbs
up!!
