Really enjoyed walking the Freedom Trail. Started at Boston Commons and ended at Bunker Hill. The USS Constitution and the Old State House are must stops on the trail. The three graveyards are beautiful, old, and full of history as well. The red brick path is super easy to follow and took us a few hours to walk. We stopped at Quincy Market and had lunch. Coupled with wonderful weather, this easy walk is a great experience for everyone.

Wow! Such a cool trail. My family loved filling the bricks on the Freedom Trail. We stopped at so many places. We walked from Boston Public Gardens to the North End. Absolutely stunning city views. The history was so interesting. We stopped in churches, graveyards and city hall. The trail is easy to follow and we always felt safe. We ended with a stop to Mike’s Pastry in the North Nd.

The Freedom Trail is a special way to get through the most beautiful parts of the city without detours. In particular, you don't lose your loved ones when it's clear that everyone 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 stays on the trail. Depending on your mood, one person may delve deeper into the sight and the other may perhaps go to another building, market hall, store or a place that is of interest to him/her. Everyone stays in their own rhythm, which is always important on a tour together (there were 5 of us and we were on the road for 4 weeks…😉)

It is a route of several kilometers through the historical points of the city. If you speak English well or understand it well, I recommend hiring a tour so that each point can be explained well.

This was really fun, my son Josh bought an app that allowed us to take a speaker and it narrated the self guided tour along the entire freedom trail as we walked along with very well done recordings and summaries of the historical events

It was an amazing experience. If you love history and in Boston , then this is an absolute must. This is a walking tour, and tour will give you an idea about the city, just follow the red brick path. You can do it as a group with a guide.

This was one of the greatest things, minus the hills, that I have ever done. More cities should have things like this. Every turn was one amazing piece of history after another. This is a must do if you just have one day in the city. Amazing sites and foods are all along the trail

Wait here for a walking tour of the freedom trail. Our guide was fantastic and gave us a lot of interesting information we hadn't heard before it's supposed to just the standard things you here on a lot of tours. I would love to have had a tour that did the whole trail but doing 1/2 one day and the other half another day works out really.

The starting point is the location of visitor center. You can get the maps and other information here. And you can also find the guide tours here.

The Freedom trail is marked by a yellow brick path at the top of the park where you can see the Massachusetts State House (gold roof) on Beacon and Bowdoin where you begin the walk. You’ll really want to make a full day of the walk, as there is sooo much to experience. Some parts of the trail are not friendly for wheelchairs or baby carriages because the sidewalk is PACKED and in some parts narrow. Toward the end of the trail you walk through Little Italy. Definitely take the opportunity to grab some lunch or dinner, as the food and smells are just heavenly.

Great place to eat lunch or let kids play. Public gardens are near by shops both local and bigger brands are near by. Souvenirs. A lot of history and monuments. Great access to the T-Green line. Around the corner is orange line. And not far is the redline.

I honestly went to the freedom trail because of Fallout 4. I was pleasantly surprised, there are many historical land marks on the path. There is a visitor’s center with maps if you need them. Fairly easy walk with a red brick line to show you the way.

The Freedom Trail in Boston is a must-visit for anyone interested in American history. This 2.5-mile trail takes visitors on a journey through some of the city's most historic sites, including the Massachusetts State House, Paul Revere House, and the Old North Church. The trail is well marked and easy to follow, making it accessible to people of all ages and levels of historical knowledge. The tour guides who lead visitors along the trail are exceptional, bringing the history of each site to life with their passion and vast knowledge. They provide a level of depth and understanding to the experience that cannot be achieved through simply visiting the sites alone. One of the standout features of the Freedom Trail is the quality and care put into its maintenance. The trail is well-maintained, making it a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. The clear marking of the trail also helps visitors to easily navigate and find their way from one site to the next. In conclusion, the Freedom Trail in Boston is a 5-star experience that offers visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich history of the city. Whether you are a history buff or just looking for a fun day out, this trail is a must-visit. Its combination of well-maintained sites, knowledgeable tour guides, and accessible trail make it an experience that is truly unforgettable.

Did the self guided freedom trail tour using the national park service audio and guide tour. You will walk all over the city but it's a nice way to see key areas in the city.

The tour guide was a great laugh very informative, good with comedic intertwined to keep all attention and remember information Non bias so the information is both perspectives and factual

A fun walk. Will take 2-3 hours nonstop and even more if you were like me and stopped for coffee in North End and Bunker Hill. My recommendation is to dedicate the Freedom trail to half a day and take it very easy. A lot of sights and sounds and as a Californian, the Freedom trail will present to you the walkability of this beautiful city. Highly recommend to start early and grab brunch at Warren Tavern in Bunker Hill where the trail ends.

This is a fun walk for when you are visiting Boston! It took us almost 6 hours with lunch, reading the plaques, and visiting some museums. You can do it quicker too! It’s well-marked, but can get quite crowded.

    Great place to visit!

It's free and historical. The starting point has tours and maps and things. I bought a $7 booklet map. The trail itself is pretty easy and you don't even really need a map. You just follow the brick path. I would recommend the booklet because it added to the experience to know the historical background of all the buildings.

Interesting walk through the city but will take quite some time to walk though the whole trail. Entry fees are free for military so that was appropriated, not sure I would have paid to go to everything as it’s just a lot of reading material.

Very informative tour across Boston from the Commons to Faneuil Hall. Our guide was very knowledgable and was full of facts and interesting history points throughout the tour. Definitely worth it to take the tour if visiting Boston!

I would recommend everyone that visits Boston to walk this. We walked it on our own rather than using a guide so we could venture into shops/restaurants along the way. We loved taking our time and pulling up historical facts along the way. Most of the stops are added costs if you want to go inside, so keep that in mind. Just wear good walking shoes and take in all the areas of the city!

Great little visitors center for starting the Freedom trail. We were able to purchase a guidebook (several to choose from) to be able to learn about what we were seeing on the trail. You can purchase a guided tour from here as well. But we chose the self guided route to go at our own pace with our kids.

The Freedom Trail is a "must do" while in Boston. Seeing all the important locations that had to do with the start of our country is humbling.

Best way to know the most emblematic sites of Boston while learning its history. The trail is marked with a red line on the floor, very easy to follow.
