I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Chan, all were impacted and he did an amazing job! In my initial consultation appointment he was very patient in answering my many questions and even discussed how I could get more of the procedure covered by insurance which I really appreciated. I have been nervous about getting my wisdom teeth removed, especially since I’ve never had surgery before, but Dr. Chan and his team really put me at ease and I felt confident going into the procedure. The office is also very nice, it seems newly renovated and it’s set up as a very relaxing environment! The day of surgery went very smoothly, I signed paperwork, got hooked up to some monitors/oxygen in my nose and everything was very comfortable. Even though I have small veins and have had some difficult IV placements in the past, the nurse placed the IV on the first try so kudos to her I wish I could remember her name SHE ROCKS!! Then Dr. Chan came in, went over some info for me and answered a few more questions that I had, and started the IV sedation. I was asleep before I knew it, super easy and I woke up an hour later all set to go home. Now I am 10 hours post-op and feeling fine! I’ve been following all the care instructions and took one prescription-strength ibuprofen and that’s all I’ve needed so far. I cannot recommend Dr. Chan and his team enough they are fantastic and I wish I had come here and gotten my teeth out even sooner!! I would definitely go back if I need any other oral or facial surgery in the future. Thank you Dr. Chan!!

I went in for a wisdom teeth extraction. Was really nervous about it since it was all four. But, the process was quick and easy! As I am recovering now I have not needed to take the stronger painkillers prescribed to me and was fine just using the antibiotics and Advil to treat any discomfort. Overall just a good and professional experience.

I couldn't recommend Dr. Chan enough! I am one of those people that is terrified of the dentist. To make matters worse, I had a riskier case due to my wisdom teeth roots being closer to a nerve, and had to decide between a coronectomy and removing them completely. Dr. Chan was upfront about the risks of semi-permanent numbness or tingliness. I was a bit scared, but three days post-op I have zero numbness or tingliness. It speaks to Dr. Chan's skills! Procedure was also completely painless. I was out before they even brought tools into the room, and woke up about 50 minutes later after everything had been done!

Dr. Chan was very informative of the procedure, pricing, risks, and extraction of my wisdom teeth removal! The consultation was only a few minutes and the extraction was only about an hour. Him and the staff helped me feel comfortable and less nervous about the surgery. I blinked and I didn’t even notice any time passed by! My recovery right now after one day is not bad at all. Dr. Chan is amazing at his job and very professional!

Best experience with the tooth extraction process that one could ask for. I just had one wisdom tooth extracted but needed to be sedated because of its complicated position. Amazing assistant who made me feel comfortable with the IV sedation. Dr. Chan speaks to the point and my recovery post the surgery was quick too with hardly any pain which shows how good he was with in doing the surgery. Thank you for relieving me from years of pain.

My first time coming here as a new patient. First I was seen for an evaluation and weeks after they were available to schedule my wisdom tooth extractions I was so happy because they always have very close openings in their schedule which is amazing especially if you need to be sedated. The staff are so amazing and the doctor himself is amazing at what he does, great customer service they also made sure I was comfortable for my visit before we began especially that I was nervous. I was scheduled to remove all four and Dr Chan did an amazing job very quick process only took an hour I am very relieved that everything came out well and no concerns whatsoever they made sure I was okay once I woke up they explained everything to me before I left to prepare myself once I got home, If you need to get any kind of oral surgery this is the dentistry to come & visit you won’t regret it.

More like 3.5 ! They are very professional and do great work, only thing is the customer service is not as nice. Not really a place that makes you feel comfortable.. but a place down to businesses. Which I get but for me to give 5 starts you gotta be the best all around. Also being open/able to respond to messages only 3- days of the week is just not helpful. AGAIN the doctors know their stuff, very professional and high quality. Just missing the fluff and accessibility.

I had a painful dental abcess and Dr. Chen was able to fit me in for an urgent extraction, even during a busy holiday week. He is very skilled at what he does. Extraction was completed within 30mins with minimal discomfort during the procedure. I am grateful for the amazing care provided by Dr. Chen and his staff. Side note: Remember to ask lots of questions and tell them your concerns. Advocate for yourself! If not, they will just give you a handout with post-op instructions.

I went for a wisdom tooth extraction. The doctor was very knowledgeable and answered my detailed questions well prior to the surgery during the consultation. Staff was very kind too. Day of operation they put you to sleep before taking out your wisdom tooth by giving you anesthesia through an IV and give you oxygen through the nose. Didn’t wake up and can’t really remember leaving! It felt quick!

I recently had the pleasure of having a tooth extracted by Dr. Chan and his team. The tooth in question had been root-canaled 15 years ago and had become infected. Dr. Chan took the time to thoroughly explain all my options, including the pros and cons of sedation for this particular surgery. He even pointed out how I might financially benefit from not opting for sedation, but ultimately left the decision up to me. He also discussed the various options for tooth implantation. On the day of the surgery, I decided to proceed with sedation. Despite the complexity of the extraction, Dr. Chan and his team did an amazing job. They also performed a bone graft. I felt great afterward, and the bleeding was very manageable. They provided painkillers, of which I've only needed a few. Dr. Chan's team and staff were incredibly friendly and made the entire experience as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend Dr. Chan and his team for oral surgery. His expertise, patient-centered approach, and skilled team made for a smooth and positive experience.

Dr. Chan was awesome!! I was referred to him by my dentist to get all four of my wisdom teeth pulled, and I was super nervous because that was my first ever surgical procedure. Dr. Chan is hands down the absolute best! I wish I could give him a 10 out of 5! I went to get my wisdom teeth removed from him 3 weeks ago and I could not of asked for a better experience!!! I live in LA and I could of got my wisdom teeth removed by anyone but I flew all the way from LA just to have him remove all four of my wisdom teeth! The reason I flew to him was because I didn’t want to just go to any oral surgeon I wanted to go to the best… I’m originally from Boston so I often travel back and forth and I went to multiple oral surgeons when I found out I needed my teeth removed. Dr. Chan was the most transparent and genuine surgeon I met! He’s not looking to just take your money or to tell you to do unnecessary procedures like other oral surgeons I’ve experienced. He genuinely wants the best for his patients and is honest! He is extremely professional, his facility is clean, his work is phenomenal and he is quick! He knows what he is talking about, and is an expert at oral surgery! After having all 4 Wisdom teeth removed by him, I had no complications. Before surgery, I was so afraid because I am in my late 20s, but the entire experience was so quick and easy. I barely had any swelling at all!!! My face looked normal after surgery! I didn’t even need heavy painkillers either! And I have a VERY LOW tolerance for pain! I only used ibuprofen. And I was able to get back to my life so quickly! I’m so thankful that I got to have him work on me and I couldn’t have asked for more! Thank you so much Dr. Chan!!! I recommend everyone to go to him for anything dental related because he truly knows his stuff and you’ll get the best results!

I just want to say I have severe anxiety when it comes to anything medical, like SEVERE. My anxiety has caused me to refuse medical care for years. I went to multiple places for this surgery and never felt comfortable until I came here. Dr.Chan and his incredible nurse (wishing I got her name because there are no words to describe her patience and empathy for me today) took extremely good care of not only my teeth but my mental health as well. I am incredibly grateful for their services today and I will absolutely be recommending and returning off I need any more dental work done! If you’re considering them please do it!!

I had a great experience at Boston Oral Surgery and everyone was very nice! I only had one wisdom tooth, but I had a considerable risk of permanent nerve damage due to the location of the tooth. The doctor made sure I was aware of my options and was very clear about the whole situation. Thankfully, I have no nerve damage at all and I’m very glad I was a patient here!

Got wisdom teeth out a day ago. Appointment was easy. They answered all my questions and once I received the sedative I was out like a light. I woke up not even realizing they had finished the procedure. Post surgery there has been very little pain, and the bleeding stopped by the time I went to bed last night. Definitely recommend Dr. Chan and his team.

I had a wisdom teeth removal here. Dr.Chan did a great job. I didn't have any uncomfortable moments under general anesthesia. When I woke up, everything was done. Even after the surgery, I didn’t get swollen at all. I recovered very quickly and everyone was surprised. I definitely recommend Boston Oral & Facial Surgery for your wisdom teeth removal.

I had went to this place twice concerning getting my wisdom teeth done ( on the first visit we decided to only do one side of my wisdom teeth at a time so that insurance wouldn't be used up) both times the staff and dentist have been friendly and understanding. I even recommended this place to my sister when she was having issues with trying to get her wisdom teeth done at her usual dental place and she ended up getting both sides done at this place and recovered well.

If you’re deathly pain averse and unfortunate enough to need dental surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Chan and his team. I’ve put off dental work for a while and finally was given a scolding by my dentist that the temporary discomfort would be worth a lifetime of happiness. Super efficient, my scans took no time, my procedure went off swimmingly as long as you follow carefully Post op instructions. (Which I’m my experience ask and digest the information before surgery, makes no sense trying to remember anything they tell you post op. I was seeing rainbows and twirling). Post op care was pain driven I was promptly seen and treated and my pain was taken seriously. For a black person who is extremely sensitive to pain it was great to be seen as a patient and not some dread head girl from Dorchester trying to score.
