    It is very difficult to take face to face appointment. And the ridiculous thing is, I called them around 8.15 to book an appointment on Friday and listen their music nearly one hour and the one of lady answered and said all the appointments were finish I need to call on Monday. I said that I called earlier but couldn’t get through. She said they are issuing limited appointment on Friday. I was surprised. Wandering they have Friday party in GP building 😂. Also one day I booked appointment with asthma nurse they said that going to be an telephone appointment when I visit the GP on my time of the appointment 😇. I was wondering how nurse going to review me my asthma over the phone 🤔. But she didn’t call. I then go to the GP point again to ask this . Then they said it was face to face appointment 🙈. Luckily one of supervisor sort out the problem for me and managed to issue inhaler. Also I ordered medication in advance because I am going for a holiday for 3 weeks. And I make a note for GP about that. Still they didn’t approve it. It’s already been five working days. Still I’m waiting. Probably I go for holiday without my medication. When I call them they are saying lots of stories. Even they don’t have any clue about it. Always saying something else and lying… obviously the reception is rubbish.

    IMCOMPETENT + UNSAFE The practice nurse prescribed the WRONG DOSE of antibiotic for my elderly grandmother who had a chest infection. I called the surgery to get this fixed, the receptionist clearly did not understand the severity of the incident, there was no apology and no incident reporting procedure in place for the prescribing error and she said I have to call back on Monday. The prescription clerk Darcy/Dorothy is absolutely rude and unhelpful. She makes up her own rules on what can/can't be put on repeat prescription- even though I asked for her steroid inhalers to be on repeat she refused (asthmatic patients must be kept on this as maintenance therapy). My grandmother has been to hospital for asthma exacerbation TWICE due to her inhalers not being issued properly. This prescription clerk clearly needs more training. It does not matter how many years she's been in this role for, she needs to be updated on CCG guidelines on repeat prescriptions.

    Patients queries are not answered with respect. Receptionist is very rude. Had her own answer even before listening to Patient's queries. There were many other staffs listening the conversation but not trying to resolve. I just want to remind the surgery team that customers for the gp surgery are Patients. They come to receive service what they are eligible for. Learn to treat with respect. GP surgery is not a business spot .

    I have never written a review before, but I wanted to do this in case it will help the doctors and receptionists of this practice to see what a huge problem this clinic is. I have been at this practice for about a year and a half now and soon I will be switching to a different GP. I've had some good experiences with the receptionists and doctors, but those were minor issues like getting some antibiotics. Eventhough the staff were mostly polite and understanding, booking appointments with this practice is an absolute nightmare. I've had to just put up with problems and health issues because I didnt want to go through the experience of booking an appointment for minor issues. I dont understand why they can't create an online booking system instead of the calling at 8, and waiting for an hour just to be told they've run out of slots for the day, and then getting an attitude from some of the receptionists. I have also now decided that enough is enough when after months of deliberation I contacted a GP meaning to talk about mental health problems, knowing that the NHS is stingy with helping people with these problems due to being underfunded, but I didnt expect to be treated disrespectfully by the doctor. She spoke to me with a condescending tone, told me that theres no chance I will get help because my problems dont seem to be concerning (eventhough I've been suffering with severe anxiety for years and years), and that she will put through a request to have a call with a psychiatrist and let me know if its approved. I know these things take time but it's been a month now and I havent heard anything about it at all, no phone call, no message.I'm really disappointed and disheartened to get help because if it means being treated this way by the medical staff, then I would rather go privately at some point when I can afford it. I understand our NHS is experiencing a lot of pressure, but that's why doctors and nurses should always try to be kind to their patients, even if for some reason they cannot provide enough help.

    Might as well be an abandoned building, its that difficult to get appointments, or even have anyone pick up the phone. I've been trying to talk to even just a receptionist and have been unable to do so for a solid month of calling 5 times every other day. Even if I wanted to change GPs I wouldnt be able to reach anyone to get the process started.

    Would give zero stars, I arrived 5 mins late due to the bus which is my fault and I apologised to the Dr Ivy, I showed my back fungal infection and wanted anti fungal cream, Dr Ivy states the fungal infection is stopped and is healing even though I explained to Dr Ivy it's spread to my neck how can something thats healing or healed be spreading, she didn't want to listen to me and talks over me, you should listen to patients not talk over them, Dr Ivy was too busy online shopping for dresses which was on her computer screen when I walked in, rather then concentrate on her patient she is too busy looking at dresses, I will be making a formal complaint.

    On Mar 6th, we scheduled a blood test for our child, but upon arrival, we were informed that the medical center did not have appropriate bottles for the test. Consequently, we had to reschedule the appointment and asked the receptionist to rebook it. We were assured that the new appointment was set for March 13th. However, when we arrived for the appointment on March 13th, we were informed that no booking was made under our name, and we needed to schedule a new appointment. We are very disappointed with the service provided by this medical center and frustrated with the repeated issues we have encountered. We doubt that this review will have any impact since it is not the first time they have received a one-star rating.

    Went for an emergency appointment today and cannot fault the wonderful service I have received. Incidentally it’s not the first time the care has exceeded my expectations. I am very conscious and grateful that we have this service in Barkingside and we should all reflect and be thankful for this wonderful service Thank you Francis Neale

    Not really had many problems with the surgery as I never really go in unless I'm really sick. Staff and Doctor seems to be nice enough when I do go in. Only issue is the level of appointments available for the day and when you call in its takes so long to get through. The new system is a lot quicker although a hassle when all you want to do is talk to someone quickly but they do come back to you quite quickly.

    As a cancer patient you always get told to see your GP by the hospital and to see the hospital doctors by the GP, I’m used to being pushed around from one place to another, but this GP was awful. Dr Hamidi didn’t even examine me, refused to even engage in anything, I felt like I was neglected and not a human being suffering from cancer. She was too incompetent to prescribe anything for my symptoms and brushed me off. Awful doctor. Just another awful doctor from an awful practice. Better off registering at a smaller practice where they will treat you like a person.

    I have been at this surgery for a very long time. All of the doctors have always been very helpful and the receptionists very efficient. I am very impressed with the new online service. I have used it a few times now and have been contacted promptly on each occasion. Nurse Kim was very professional regarding my flu jab. She is always friendly. Nurse Maria was also very professional and friendly. I have no complaints regarding all staff. Diane of course has always been a star 🌟 Jackie too!

    Good service over all. Dorothy, has been very kind, caring, helpful and excellent staff in FCMC. I am always grateful to her. Today (11/9/2023) I have an appointment with nurse Sharon Mckenzie regarding my Vertigo condition. I have consultation, basic health check and fasting blood form for tomorrow blood test. She is an excellent nurse. Thank you !

    We joined this surgery just over 18 months ago. Kim, did our “check in” and was very friendly and knowledgable about the surgery and the services they provide. I’ve been in a couple of times since and received great treatment. Again saw Kim who did some blood tests. Very friendly and supportive. My daughters saw Abby who was also lovely. I like that i receive text messages to remind me of any appointments. The new online booking system is a little clunky but seems quite effective. Overall very pleased with the surgery.

    Nurse Abby is a joy to visit. She truely loves her job and patient. She take time and genuine care for parents and children and make you feel so comfortable. Give great advice and take time out to ensure you get the right level of care and even book follow up with us without referring us back to reception. A great asset to the surgery.

    Most of the staff are friendly and approachable. I spoke to Dorothy today about a prescription and she was very helpful and was able to speak to a doctor to give me another prescription on the spot without me having to wait for a couple of days. Dorothy has always helped me and has made my visits to the surgery very pleasant.

    Practice Nurse Abby was extremely attentive, understanding and efficient. She provided excellent patient care and went above and beyond to treat both myself and my newborn. Her work ethic is outstanding, I have never had such good experience at the surgery as I did with her today. She is an asset to the surgery! Thank you again Abby!

    I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the staff at the practice for looking after my family and just for the excellent service in general! All the Doctors and Nurses are polite, empathetic and address any problems. Ladies at the front desk are very cooperative and doing very difficult job - thank you so much! Amazing Jackie always goes beyond and forward! She is professional, efficient and caring at all times. I spoke to Jackie recently and I really appreciate the way she has helped me in solving my issue. Highly recommend the practice! ❤️❤️❤️

    Every review is bang on. Go to get my booster covid jab, been to ilford Town Hall twice, no issues. Tonight I get asked to wear a mask, explain I'm exempt due to asthma. They refuse me entry! I ask for it in writing that they are refusing me the jab because I won't wear a mask. A practise manager shows up tells me to chill and I can have it in the entryway where other unmasked people are. I've never been so humiliated in all my life. How dare they treat people this way, they aren't Dr's. I shall be making a full complaint about this because and I quote "were a medical centre and can do what we like"

    Excellent service provided. I had an issue with my prescription. The eye drop was out of stock at 5 pharmacies for 3 weeks. The pharmacy manager phoned around and found the drug at another pharmacy. That was going the extra mile. Impressed.

    My mum has been a patients at this surgery for nearly three decades. The online system for patients that are not computer/tech savvy will not be able to use this like my mum . Some of the receptionist will understand and some don't . I have had my mum on the phone to me stressed about this . ( they need to have more time and patience for patients like my mum ) The Doctors are generally good, (not all), having said that mum was seen by an young Asian Doctor who done all the checks, including hospital checks and did not leave any thing out ( I don't have his name sadly.) Dorothy, is the best asset the surgery has, she does everything in her capacity to help you . Her knowledge is immense .(5 stars to her). for the reasons above my rating is 3 .

    Excellent first class care. This wonderful member of the medical staff alleviated my concerns when I had chest pains. He was kind and caring and took the time to listen to me.     Great meeting with Kimberly. After going through all the essential medical checks, Kim did everything to she could to advise and guide Angela in a positive way forward, suggesting a slightly changed lifestyle program that should be greatly beneficial to her. We thank her for that. ❤️

    I have given 5 stars as I have received really good service from all the surgery staff over the past eighteen months. The receptionists have been pleasant and helpful and the doctors have returned calls in the given time. I have had a couple of bouts of shingles and the prompt action of the doctors in giving the appropriate medication on time helped speed up my recovery on both occasions. I would like to give special thanks to Dorothy who phoned me about an update to my prescription. Dorothy is always so helpful and her knowledge and advice is invaluable. I have not used the new system yet but I was pleased to learn that patients who do not have access to the internet will still be able to phone the surgery for appointments. PH

    The new appointment website/portal is efficient and you can get seen on the same day or within 48 hrs if your issue is urgent. It has worked for me on a few critical occasions involving myself and my child. You are also seen by a doctor not a nurse which is a good. The only thing i feel needs improving is the prescription request service. I have found it inconsistent where I've had to chase a few times and the phone line for prescriptions isnt always reliable.

    My husband had an appointment booked via the new online system. Form filled in & had a text 20 minutes later with the appointment details for an hour later that same morning! Very impressed with the speed & ease of the new online system. Saw a lovely trainee doctor, very thorough & professional, then overseen by Dr Mehta. Excellent care all round.

    I had a telephone consult with Nishma today and it went really well. She was very polite and listened to all my concerns and answered my queries...not rushing me. She then advised a blood test and sent me the link. Easy. I also had a face to face today for a different reason...used the online service. Was very good. I answered the questions and then they text me with an appointment. So much better than calling in the morning..saved me so much time and very convenient. I was seen by the new doctor George...he was very nice and then Dr Mehta popped in to confirm the treatment plan. I was very pleased with my interaction with the practice today :)

Particularly Dr Dhillon and Dr A Mehta, thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful concern in regard looking after my family, and providing us with excellent medical care. Also ladies at the front desk are very cooperative and doing very difficult job. Your roll with workplace challenges, keeping your patients as your top priority.     On the 6th of June 2023 around 9:40 I had a blood test appointment. The worst experience ever!!!! The women that took the blood test was horrible. She was racist, rude, she treated me like an animal and the process was so so so painfull. She was the worst. I DONT KNOW WHY DO YOU STILL KEEP THESE PEOPLE. She was the worst human being I have ever seen in my life. Very unprofessional, very very rude, her behaviour was unhuman, unempathetic, 0 compassion, very dirty she didnt even had gloves on, i dont even know if she sanitised her tools, i dont even know if she used new ones, the worst the worst!!!! Shame to who keeps her still emplyed. Unfortunatly I didnt get her name. My arm is still sore, pitch black, in pain and i cant move my arm. This is an honest comment, the truth.

    worst surgery ever... have been put on hold with the prescription team for 1 hour and nobody attended my call. All i wanted was to send my prescription to the pharmacy.. I dont know if they are short on staff or dont bother taking the call. New patients can register elsewhere.

    Nice place for the price. I find the staff accommodating too. Love the spa… won’t get for that price. If monthly membership. Need to be precautionary about health and safety. Find deals in January or sometimes there are in summers .. worth the payments if find a deal for both spa, swimming and gym.

    I have recently joined this practice and have a very high profile but complex medical history. The HCA I saw in person to register me was very thorough and she ensured I got my essential medication the same evening. I am abit disconcerted by all the negative reviews and not looking forward to booking appointments on the phone 😑. I hope they implement an easier/quicker system. 5 Stars for Julie who is an excellent senior administrator and does her job very efficiently 🌟

    Unfortunately one star review doesn't matter to them as it doesn't affect their GP practice unlike other commercial businesses. NHS should cancel the GP licence and give it to somebody else if they fail to meet the care standard.
